Hi there

I am so glad to read that every one is doing well and that the babies are growing nicely.

They stole our telephone cables and telkom don't have money to replace it so I didn't had any internet for 3 months now. We decided to get 3G so know I will be checking in much regularly.

I am doing very well, no mood swings or any fatigue. Think its because I am working very hard so there is no time for my mind or body to be tired. Luckily we are going to Balito for holiday tomorrow and when we are back I am off work. Can't wait for the holiday!

We are having another girl so there will be 3 girl by the end of January. Hubby said that he think he needs to get a male dog so that he won't be the only male in the house. hahaha

Going for my 4d scan the 27th of october, can't wait!

By the way does any one know where I can buy maternity swimwear in KZN? Really don't know what I am gonna swim in. My tummy is to white and full of stretch marks to wear a bikini.

Please help.

Maryke- i also bumped up the "things/advice on C-sections" topic onto page 1 of the forum, i know you've had a C-sec before but there might just be something on there that you had forgotten about.

Asp- i used the playtex feeding bras last time but they stretched so quickly and had absolutely no support in comparisson to this one, it's GREAT!

I bought it at baby city but anywhere that stocks the carriwell range should have, maybe try Edgars because there you can try it on. they have a size guide on the back of the packet. I am a 36D usually which was smack bang in the middle of the large recommendation. It's really great and supportive but I'm wondering now what the XL might feel like, might get XL next time and try it, if it is too big I'll just take it back for an exchange. They can hardly say no when they don't provide changing rooms!

Oh, I am getting so excited about the babies!!!!!!! All this talk of hospitals and bags etc. I told Hubby this morning that we better get started on our LB's room, the time is really flying by.

Vix, thanks for the tip on the bra. I actually really need to buy one as my bras are totally getting to small and hot. Where did you buy it? At a baby store? How do you know which size since you can't fit it in a baby store?

PS: I never wore maternity bras with my LG and I am so regretting it

ha ha but 30cm fundus, wow, big baby? mine is sitting at 33cm at 28w with twins.

Chris- usually an assistant nurse or pediatricians are always willing to take photos in theater, they won't allow anyone other than DH into the theater for the actual delivery.

Maryke- are you going to breast feed? definitely get yourself some heat/cool pack for your boobs, the engorgement hit me when i was still in hospital and that was horrible after the C-sec because it was sore to get up and stand under the shower.

To anyone planning to BF, if you can afford it then invest in the carriwell drop cup nursing bra, i bought one yesterday and oooo the support it gives is amazing! I'm wearing it now because it's really sooooo comfy but they are R250 each so quite pricey but a great investment i think.

Here's my list for the first few weeks but not all essentials so pick and choose:

-breast pads
-heat packs
-a clock beside your bed that you can see in the night
-BF cushion if BF
-Maternity pads
-Black knickers (don't waste money on disposable panties, woolies sell full panties for R60 for 5 pairs)
-flushable baby wipes for mommy (cherubs) will help with clean up after no2's especially after vaginal birth with stitches! but also just quick and easy in case you need a clean up and don't have a dark face cloth to hand.
-dark face cloths (take these to hospital!)
-linen savers for your own bed in case pad over flows, and nappy change, babies have very messy poop at first and boys make wees when nappy is off!
-nipple cream for every use but also a repair cream for the cracked blistered nipples
-buy something to keep the bowels loose just in case you get constipated after the birth especially with C-sec or stitches!
-2l water bottle to keep beside the bed at night and when BF
-front opening PJ's and tops.
-panado syrup- yes you can give under 3m if baby really needs, C was on 1ml a few times a day from day after birth because of his circumcision.

I'll think of some more and get back to you.

oh C-sec mommies get yourself a baby bath on a stand because you won't be able to bend over a regular bath tub.

Maryke, i think Vix will be able to best answer for the hospital/first few weeks.

I know with me when I went to tour the hospital the lady said to me I'll just need my stuff and just nappies/surgical spirits for babies, I supose if I need dh can always go home quick.

Vix, (my boss had trips) his wife said to me that she saw the babies for only a brief moment and had this bond with one baby as she really only had time to see just one baby, they put all 3 next to her at the same time for a photo. Im really considering asking someone to go in and take photos.... lol, not sure who would, will post for the photographers that could be very funny, but they said that they dont have many photos from the birth as it went all too quick. not sure if my sister would manage the blood, lol.

Asp, hope you feeling better today! Very true about getting more advice on forums instead of books, every where I try read/research, they always give advice for twins (as in multiples) but not much on triplets.
