morning ladies!

So today is a new day and I am feeling loads better, not sure if its the wonderful rain this morning or what, but I spoke to DH last night, I told him he must understadn that I am more sensitive and he must be careful what he says to me and the babies are not just MINE but ours and and, he was a bit surprised and made me stop cooking so he can hug me. But even about my triple belly size :) i'm feeling a bit better today, cant avoid anyone's comments as much as I would like to, they're not bad comments, it just gets to you and plays on your mind how big you really are! Since day 1 of finding out we were having triplets its had to be "take it as it comes" as nothing we have somewhat "prepared" for what a "normal" pregnancy is, it all hasn't been the same, well, I should say since ttc, I learnt that while we were trying for a baby and I learnt hard and then again when we found out it was triplets and when I was on bedrest, that nothing is in our hands (my), I cannot control what happens, I can only hope and pray that what will be, will be done good.

Yvetter, great news on the midwife.

Vix, Il take a belly pic this weekend, dh wanted to take one last night but i was too lazy, so will post one soon, I want to try take one every week now.

We got a voucher for a photoshoot, i think Im going to use it for a maternity shoot, so want to try book for the 30th Oct/6 Nov.

Meags, the doppler was my sisters, I think Chan got hers second hand online (Chan?? not sure??).

MommyN, Im in the south, but eastrand is closer for me, but wherever it is, I'll try make a plan.

Kimika, please post your cupcake pics here too ;) Mmm, I love cupcakes, made some last week for my nieces, they came out so nice, been feeling like more now. I have a nice recipe if you want.... but these were those vanilla muffin mix :)

Chat later lovely ladies!!!

Hope you are ALL well today!

Asp- sorry for your foul mood last night LOL

See It actually didn't all fall into place for me like you mention, yes i saw the face of my child and fell in love but i never really bonded with my boy until he was well over 6m. I didn't want to hold and cuddle him all the time, i didn't want to lay awake watching over him, and the oddest thing about that for me was that we had TTC for a year so he was 100% wanted and intended, i just didn't get those instant feelings of adoration. Maybe it has something to do with different personality types but i also think it had something to do with the PND as well.

The problem with PND is that it manefests itself in many different ways and anyone who has never suffered it will not really understand how it controlls you. People have this idea that you sit feeling sorry for yourself, crying and not caring for your child and it was nothing like that for me.

I had to care for my child, there was no one else to do things for me, and i still gave him the best possible care i just didn't 'enjoy' doing it, i still had to act like motherhood was a blessing, even though it only felt like a burden.

I would say if anyone doesn't get that 'instant bond' they mustn't worry, it does come but for some people like me relationships are built over time not instant just because i carried that person in my body or because it is a part of me.

Hi Ladies

Last night I was in such a fowl mood, for no reason whatsoever! Shame, Hubby had to work late, then we had a visit from a guy from our church, and (although I tried to hold back), I did manage to "create" a little fight with Hubby. But the poor man knows better and just ignored me and said nice things back until I decided to throw in the towel

Then I tried to get my LG to sleep, and Hubby said he would make dinner. But then she saw Daddy and only wanted him. And I ended up on the bed reading a book. Poor Hubby had to make supper as well after LG fell asleep about 15 minutes later.

So today I'm thinking I probably have a really nice man by my side - that could change any moment though :P

Chris, hoping you feel better today!

I wanted to mention yesterday that with my LG I was also concerned about PND and whether I would bond with her since I am sooooooo NOT a baby person. I don't think I held a baby except my own for about 10 years! But as soon as she was born, I was so extremely overwhelmed at the love and care I felt for her. I didn't need to sleep, I was never tired - all I wanted was to be with her. And I felt so protective over her, so instantly. I think it all just falls in place once you see that precious little face created from love between 2 people. I never really read up on raising a child - I read books about the pregnancy and the developement of baby in the womb, but that was it. The reast I tackle as they come along! I find it easier this way. Sometimes the books create such a "illusion" of what a mommy and babies should be like, that when we struggle, we often see ourselve as failling compared to what we read. When in fact. being a parent means struggling some times and doing great other times. Also, I find asking help and advice on forums like these are much more accurate than any book could ever be.

Good luck with meeting your pro VBAC midwife! I really hope you have a lovely smooth birth experience! especially after my dream about naturally birthing the twins I'm super jealous of a natural birth experience that i will never have (and no Kimika i am not trying for a 4th in the hope of a girl!LOL)

I was gonna mention it.. :P

Sterretjie, congrats on the little girl!!! YIpee :)

Yvette.. uhm ok so curios cat me also looked him up on FB but not sure if I found the right one... and the only pic was too small to see properly :( But anyways I just think its soooo wrong for a male gynae to be a hottie :P Maybe he prefers doing c-sec for a reason!! lol

Chris, sorry you were feeling a bit down.. hoping you feel a bit better now. But its soo natural to have offish days.. especially since you have so much more on your shoulders than just a normal pregnancy and one baby! I take off my hat to you and the other multiple moms.. I think I would have had much worse days so you are doing great! And like Vix said, pls moan and offload here as much as you can and want! It will really help you a lot and all of us know how you feel and fully 100% support you xxx We love you man! ;)

Aspoestertjie, ahh how nice to get such great compliments.. You should post a piccie so we can also tell you how great you looked!!! Where did you get a little black preggie number? We have another wedding in less than 2wks time and the dress I planned on wearing might not make it until then .. bump growing too fast :)

Happy to hear everyone else is doing so well!!

xxx

Carmen- I read a lot about PND and preND at 12w with C when I just couldn't feel happy about being pregnant even though it was what I wanted. It all actually makes a lot of sense. I like your take each day as it comes attitude, that's probably the best way to tackle any pregnancy and birth and motherhood in general. I read so many baby sense type books when pregnant to 'prepare' myself for the first few months but actually nothing in reality was kike anything in the books and it just made me feel even more in adequate and more depressed. Once I stopped reffering to the books and dealt with my boy as he was I startted to 'cope' so much better. Instict is so strong it's a much better tool than someone elses research.

O.k I think I have done enough philisophical blabbering for one day LOL

Chris- I can't wait to see your next belly pic, I think your belly is gorgeous and you're carrying trips so beautifully and gracefully! Especially seeing those 3 are growing so well, not sure where you stashed all the bodys organs to make space for the babies LOL But I feel your agony in not feeling beautiful or gracefull. I moan and groan like an old woman when I get up for the loo these days.
