Hi ladies

sorry to butt in here....just want to check who is free to meet in Joburg on 13 November? venue and time not yet arranged - just want to see if people are available? it's a saturday...

Chris - hang in there. If you do feel totally overwhelmed and the feeling isnt getting any better, speak to your gynae. he/she may be able to offer some support or give you something to help with the anxiety.
3 babies is overwhelming. but wow - what a miracle. I honestly sat there in amazement every day I saw the triplets and was in awe. you will have support from family when they come, so you wont be totally alone.

I also wanted to ask, who had the fetal doppler? I think it was Chris...
Where did you get it?? I also want to hear my baby's heart beat!!!

Thanks ladies, I do feel better, still feeling sensitive though, but I like you say its normal, when I got up during the night to go to the loo, dh asked if was ok, I just told him its the joys of being pregnant, he tried coming closer to hold me... lol, think he could sense some irritation from my side. Anyway.

MommyN, I usually play with my phone and it makes me tired, haven't read much on the babies/pregnancy, then I really dont sleep, my mind goes crazy, but maybe I shoud try a real girly book, but even that sometimes makes my mind work over time, and we dont have a lamp by our bedside... too lazy to get up and switch off light :) not really a reading type, but maybe I will go see what books there are.

Vix, I keep telling myself to snap out of it, Im really scared of getting PND, was even thinking Im getting pre-ND (??) but will take it as it comes, I cant work myself up into a frenzy now, its just all overwhelming. Im sure I will be fine later/tomorrow, sometime??

But its great having girls like you to come and talk to! xox

Chris- i went through those exact same emotional stages with my 1st pregnancy even though it was only 1 baby so what you're feeling is perfectly normal. It's all the unknown and no matter how much you read you will always be slightly afraid of the unknown.

I must say i am lucky to have had a singleton first so i feel really comfortable and content about the tweenies arrival, actually not emotional at al this time which is soooo coool.

I did suffer PND with C which does worry me a bit for next time but i now know to speak up and get meds, in fact I'm actually going to ask for a script before i leave hospital this time because I'm sure it was triggered by a hormonal imbalance and is likely to happen again.

Try not to get upset and stress over how you will cope with 3 babies just yet, no amount of getting stressed now is going to make it any easier when they come, try try try to relax for the last few months you have. Think logically and try to be organized but try not to envelop yourself in fear just yet, i found it a lot easier to relax this time because i have decided to deal with the situations as they arise be it prem birth, NICU, BF issues, colic everything, i will not live in fear of what might happen or i will not live at all.

Just remember we're all here for you so open your heart to us when you feel down and NEVER be afraid to speak up, sometimes just writing it down or saying it out loud made a huge difference with my coping skills.

MommyN- i don't think there's anything to be 'scared' about with a C-sec it's more just the coping after that is a lot harder. I had to make quite a few adjustments to be comfortable and i could only really drive as far as the GP in an emergency otherwise i was uncomfortable. I just think it's better to heal faster so you can get on with and enjoy looking after your baby especially when you have another child to care for too.

I must say, my DH is fairly good, well actually this time around he's way better than the first, now he really sees how much work goes into being a mother so now I'm pregnant again he is trying his hardest to help out. I must say though i am considering moving into the spare room before the end, our big high bed is just becoming a huge strain for me to climb into.

My rib pain is there every day by 10am and by the evening my back is just as sore from trying to compensate. I think i will suffer this pain to the end so just need to put up and shut up i suppose. I don't think there will be much room for the tweenies to turn head down, there wasn't enough room in my pelvis for 1 baby's head the first time so definitely not 2.

Chris what you're feeling is totally normal. But everything will fall into place and you're going to be an awesome mom and cope with everything.

Thanks MommyN! I also think it's way too early to decide anything now so i'm just taking it easy for now and will see what happens at our next scan at 32 weeks.

I think we're all emotional right now. My DH and I have been fighting and picking on each other for 3 weeks now and i'm going mental. Hope things return to normal soon!

aaah, Chris, we are here for you! I think we have all been through this and all understand. I also cried myself to sleep the night before last, even though I was only getting 2 hour sleeping spells with Missy. I had a husband with a sore back who wouldnt rest on the weekend but was still able to do most things except help with Missy - so I also felt sorry for myself. I am sensitive at the best of times, but super-sensitive while pregnant!

I hear you on the sleeping - they moan and moan, but dont seem to have a problem nodding off at night! I have started reading at night, some nights I only get through half a page, and dont really register whats going on, but it somehow switches my mind off. Try read something unrelated to the babies, you are probably reading up alot on them, so try read a really girly book or even magazine or something silly to switch off.

The hormones will be playing havoc with you, and its all natural! You have so much changing in your life! You will be a mom, married to a father, your house changes, your LIFE changes! Its big. But hey, its one step at a time. You will be fine! It will all get back to normal - although a different kind of normal. But its great! ;)

AFM, we had a better night and I had to give Missy something to relax and calm her last night - something I dont like doing - but it is for her and my benefit. Must be some more teeth!

Wow Chan, you are going to have a beautiful big baby! He is going to be gorgeous! Good luck with your decisions, and do what you want! The Drs are quick to say this or that, but follow your heart but also listen to their advise. Maybe there are some other moms who can relate to your situation? I am also petrified of C-section - for now, Dr still happy with Natural, unless Baba is breach - he says then too much risk because of my age. Missy turned at about 28 or 30 weeks and never turned again, but you never know with 2nd baby. I saw there was a thread last week about a breach situation and things you can do. Perhaps bookmark it incase you need the advise. It was Anina and she is doing hypno-birthing.

Vix - how are you feeling today, it seems a bit cooler for the next few days.

I keep forgetting to ask DH to scan pics from last weeks Dr's appointment. But they werent so great, the ones he gave us, the rest are on a cd which he keeps for us, but I think I will ask him for it at the next visit and start a new cd. Hopefully we get some nice pics next week at our 4D. And then I must book my bed next week... wow.... time is flying!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey ladies!

Chan, so glad your scan went well and you little man is a "big man" :) You'll have to post pics froom your 4d and the room this weekend!

Maryke, glad you are all feeling better! Are you at home now full time?

Suriya, how was your scan yesterday?

Vix, are you still having pains?

Afm, not much, just feeling VERY down and oh so sorry for myself, Im feeling very big, so maybe everyones comments are correct, lol. Last night dh wasn't very sensitive either, he said he cant wait for the babies to come cos then he can sleep better (he falls asleep in 5 mins and doesn't wake up again, if he does he doesn't remember), which he then said, well for the first 5 mins at least, so I said to him well you try find a comfortable position and wake up to go pee every night etc, he said to me "well you wanted to be pregnant", he kept quiet and said "that came out very wrong" to which I replied yes it did, and that was it, I just cried myself to sleep. I was so hurt, still feel so very down, just keep thinking to myself how am I going to cope with 3 babies, also cant wait for my appointment monday, really just wish the dr would say to me, ok you need to stay at home now, then I dont have too see everyone everyday and hear their comments. Just feel I am suppose to embrace my pregnancy but finding it hard at the moment.

Anyway, sorry to pour my sorrows, guess these hormones are working over time :)

Hope everyone else is doing fine, chat later.

Thanks Vix! My doc did say yesterday that if the head engages it means natural birth is possible. So it all depends on that. He's been head down since 24 weeks already and is still head down now.

Hopefully his head engages and I still manage natural birth. But at the end of the day if it doesn't there's nothing I can do about it. Will cross that bridge when we get to it!

Hahaha - yip it's our 4D on Friday!
