Chan, youre a good mommy, gosh, I feel for you, there are 2 nights specifically that I had to get up 15 times (I counted the second night cos the previous was just too much!!), I have 3 babies and all together is not like little Kade, but hey, it will be better soon. He is basically sleeping an hour and half naps during the night. Shame friend, I really hope he gets better soon. My little Alexia keeps us up, the other 2 are litle stars! As for DH, with my sisters first baby, she packed her bags when baby was 5 months and waited for my bil to get home, and she said to him he better help or she is going to my dad, who wont help either, so whether she stayed home or at my dad was the same thing so he had to ship up. Im glad dh asked for help, I think its a big thing for a man, and I have so much respect for a man who can do that and cry and have some sensitve emotion. You know the saying, big men dont cry? I always say it takes a real man to cry. The thing about babies, the difficulties change, but it gets easier (hopefully).

Please can you post pics of Kade, i dont think we're connected on FB? Ill go look for you, then its fine.

Maryke, great news about the casts, it must be such a relief!! Thanks for the list, it helps with the amount of feeds too. So we are ok. I was searching the web and came across this:

"Watch your baby and not the calendar".

So if you feel your baby looks ready at 4 months for solids, then go for it, if not wait til 6 months, so I think Im doing fine! Its vey true as al babies are different. I also had this book of starting solids, I found it on the weekend and it also gives a breakdown of what to give wen and all that.

Meags, hope Matts jabs went ok, great to hear he has put on so much weight! well done mommy! what you know with 1 baby is what I know with 3,so its all the same really.

Ster, how is Inge doing, does it seem the meds have helped? Hope she is feeling better!

MommyN, so true about what you say about the babies sleep and milestones, Alexia is so busy and lately she is the one up most of the time, Alessandro laughs alot in his sleep, its so cute, you can hear him on the monitor. Glad Nathan is doing better with the Losec. Do u want me to do the list for you?

Suhaila, how is everyone feeling?

Yvette, how are you friend?

Vix, are the boys treating you well, r u enjoying your kitchen still?

Binks, has any of Vanya's hair fallen out? Athena has this bald patch at the back of her head, lol, at least her hair isnt long.

Mandz, wantd to ask (not sure if I did), when you started with the foods, like pumpkin, and they say to start with 1 spoon, did you then give bottle or the porridge? 1 spoon isnt enough.

Dassie, Lizelle, Twinbee....... all the other ladies I haven't mentioned, hope you are all well!!?

My mom has passed 5 years today, time without her has gone way too fast, never does a day go by that I dont think about her.

Anyway, I got to do some work.... chat later

Morning ladies!

Meags we've been to two different chiro's! Been to a homeopath 5 times as well! The drops she gave us is the only thing that helps a little!

Last night he went down at 7:30pm. Woke up at 11, 1, 1:30, 2:15, 3, 4:15, 5 then again at 6:15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!

And now during the night he needs to be shushed back to sleep whereas before he'd be asleep drinking his bottle and go back to sleep. So now i'm standing more than half the night rocking him back to sleep! Why oh why am I being punished???

I see you all having issues with your DH's and not helping! Well I went through the worst time ever after Kade was born. DH developed depression - I guess totally not prepared for a baby at all. He never came near Kade and offered no help whatsoever! He'd work "late" most nights and was so distant and cool to Kyra and I it was like living a nightmare.

It eventually got so bad that he approached me and said he can't handle feeling like this anymore and that he needed help. So off to the GP we went. GP said that 60% of men develop some sort of depression after a baby is born and only 20% actually seek help! So he was put on an antidepressant and started therapy at our phychologist. What a freaking difference! So he was still not hands on with Kade but helped running bath water and making bottles etc which was a huge help for me!

But I eventually lost it because I needed some time away from the baby! He had a choice - either get hands on or move out!

Because Kade was such a colicy baby we ended up taking shifts in order to get some sleep. So DH would take him from 10 - 2 and I would take him from 2 - 6. That eventually started taking a toll on our marriage because we never slept in the same bed for over 2 months!

But we're now back in the same bed with Kade in a camp cot next to our bed and even though I feed him all night DH gets up to fetch and warm the bottles every feed. He baths him most nights now and plays with him.

I know it wont work for all of you but I had to give my DH a wake up call because we would have ended up divorced or me with a nervous break down.

Meags does Matt also suffer badly with colic? Sorry i'm not up to date with everything here!

Maryke putting all 3 in the bath together will be so much easier! I bath Kyra and Kade together since he was 4 weeks old! They both absolutely love it!

Ster i'm so glad you located the problem and it can be fixed before any damage is caused!

MommyN welcome back! Wow you're lucky with sleeping! I envy you!!! Our Paed also put Kade on Losec last week but it made no difference so told us to stop. Diagnosis is chronic colic and we all know theres no cure for that!

Chris your littles ones are gorgeous!!! And you're handling everything wonderfully! Wow i'd never have coped! I'm hardly coping with one baby at the moment!

Binks I wish I had an answer for you but as you can see we're waking up pretty much the same if not more most nights! Its really tough and doing it alone must be hell

Mandz what formula is your little one on?

Mandz yep also so the new song but I must sayt there she looks much better, nice what make up can do for one and a bit of photoshopping hey...... have you started giving Jordy a bit of yogurt?

Ai meags so sorry dh is giving you all your days and then it's not easy with a tiny tot in the house either, I am fighting my dh of with sticks I can't believe how he went from never to forever, I am at my wits end cause I am SO not in the mood oi ...... Best you tell how you feel before it ruins you friend emotionaly we as women are so drained with a new baby and it being your first and you feel all alone...... I would also cry all day.... can't you maybe try and get a day helper just to watch him a little for you just to get intouch with yourself again?

Ster glad my future daughter-in-law is doing a tad bit better hope the problem will be sorted with the meds and you don't need to go the grommet route, well the grommet is nice it's just not nice when they wake out of the local they scream forever......

Mommyn jeez lady you sound hectic with the little ones....the boys are doing fine Aiden's cast is of his foot looks amazing he only sleeps with a boot now I battle a little to put it on but I grin and bear I know it will be all worth it in the end....Llewellyn is having his casts removed on friday then my two monsters can have proper baths and maybe just then I can bath all 3 together. I was feeling down today it's been a month today since my dad's passing. Can't wait till the 3rd of June!!!!!

Vixie pixie missing you friend

Hi ladies

Just thought I'd show my face while my terror is sleeping

Ster - glad you found the problem with Inge. Its almost always a relief when they find something instead of them finding nothing and then you are left with a very unhappy baby and no explanation or way forward!!

MommyN - you sound too busy with your 2!!

Chris - oh my goodness I LOVE your photos!!!! I am still totally in awe you actually have THREE babies....1 is killing me slowly.... I dont know how you do it.

Vix - miss you here even though we chat on FB :p

Hi everyone else!! Sorry I'm scared Matt will wake and cant do proper post!!

Matt has been SO much better in the last 10 days. We saw a 2nd chiropractor. The first one refused to manipulate....he has some 'funny' technique which I didnt feel was doing anything....so we saw one who would manipulate and after 3 sessions, the crying was considerably less. HOORAY! However, last night he was a terror and again this morning...I heard colic flares around 6-8 weeks....but I thought since he was better we wouldnt go through this flare?! We'll see what the next few days bring. Chan did you take Kade to a chiro?? Gosh I feel sorry for you...I honestly think I would run away....

Otherwise not much news honestly. Counting down the days until our holiday. Going to France first and then DH will come back to Miami and I will continue onto South Africa! SOOO excited!!!!! Going to be seriously busy as only have a few days in JHB and CT. Cant even get out the house by 10am at the moment so not sure how I will make the most of the time there...with no naps!!!! eeekk!!! Hope Matt behaves...when he has his "moments" it is really bad and exhausting. last night I gave him to DH (but only AFTER crapping DH out for getting a beer FIRST before coming to help me when he could obviously see I was at my wits end) then I ran upstairs crying, sat in the bathroom and covered my ears....mature hey?? hehe

can relate to you all with the DH issues....DH doesnt help at all for nights...all because I dont work and his job is SO much harder and more stressful than mine...ya well atleast he has working hours...mine is 24/7 and no days off....on Sunday (after Matt had hardly slept all of Saturday night....) I eventually lay him on my lap and let him scream until his heart was content. Besides, the rocking, bouncing, shushing, walking, patting etc I was doing was making no difference....DH walked in, took the baby and asked why I'm just sitting there letting him cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MEN!!!!!!

Still no improvement with DH on the relationship issue....no sex in 5 months now  not sure we will ever have sex again (I honestly cant see it happening!!!!). Told him last night I'm not sure I want anymore kids...that I'm not enjoying sitting home looking after Matt 24/7 and I dont think it's fair I do it alone...then added in that we most likely wont have more kids since you need to have sex in order to have kids....

Hi there

Pead happy with Inge's weight, length etc. Not happy with ears. Did a pressure test (directly translated) - pressure in the ear should be -150 - 50 - her right ear = -234; left ear +165. Balance totally out and if not treated correctly could result in speech problems and even hearing problems. ai, ai luckily we picked it up early - as per the Speech Therapist that did the test. So we have antihistamine; cortisone drops and some syrup to clear the fluid in the ear. have to go back in 2 weeks for another test - if still bad we will have to go to a ENT.

Its me... do I need to re-introduce myself (blush)? I am sorry i have been shy of late but 2 tots are keeping me soooo busy!

I really to follow with everyone, but my Moomie site has been so slow. I give up and dont know what internet to use anymore! Anyone here on the Cellc package?

Anyway, each time I try to come and write, one of the kids niggles, so now Nathan is kind of feeding on my lap and I'm managing to catch up! We'll see for how long.

Where to begin? Will I remember everything I want to say?

Chan - welcome back to Moomie, shjoe, you've battled with Kade, I really hope things get easier for you. Almost half way there!

Suhaila - hope you are all better soon! These nasty winter bugs are the worst! Come on summer - guess its a bit too early to a count down hey, hardly even had winter yet :-(

Chris - I cant believe how the trio is growing! I cant believe we are all talking about solids and that now!!! Just the other day we were talking about swollen feet and stretch marks and our bumps! The pics are GORGEOUS!!!

Maryke - thumbs up for the girls weekend, at least you had a blast. Big thumbs down for Roxette. I must agree, I saw the music video last night, and big :-(((. Sounds like you and the tots are doing well! I have lost touch a bit, I am right in thinking that the casts are all off now? Hows it going? How is your family doing? Think of you often!!!

Mandz - Jordyn is too adorable! He is really big and advanced!

Binks - hi there!!! Vanya is adorable! Sorry you are up a few times more than you should be!

Guys, I know a lot of you are saying the baba's are a bit more demanding at night etc! I remember Sarah slept through from around 6 wks until 5 or 6 months and then the nightmare began!!! I think a lot has to do with them taking in more around them! Their sleep can be affected each time the reach a milestone! So much is happening in their world. For us we couldnt sleep the night before they were born, or the night before we got married we were so excited, think how they feel each time they can sit, stand, walk or chat away! There is so much we take for granted and just do with out thinking, for our little angels, its all so exciting and precious to them!

Ok, off the topic, now I havent caught up with everyone!!! Hmmm? Luckily I keep up to date on facebook too!!!

Ster - Amelia is too cute! Its tough when hubby travels a lot, but you get used to it. I always find everything seems so much worse at 3am in the morning!

As for us, Nathan is doing sooooo much better on the Losec. He still hardly sleeps during the day, I guess he is just to awake. But he normally sleeps from 7pm to 6am waking once or twice. Not bad, I feed him and he is back asleep within 12 mins (unless I nod off and wake up half an hour later LOL). With him being better, Sarah is also calmer and she is starting to really love her little brother. Although, he is not that much smaller than her!!! She is 7,8kg and he is close to 5,5kg! She is on number 4 nappies and he is on number 3s! They were the same size vests, although Sarah's is tighter!

Nathan loves to sit now, I prop him on the couch or in his feeding cushion and he can now play for at least 20 mins happily before moaning, unless he slips down. I cant put him on the couch for much longer though, he is falling around more and starting to roll. He is finally enjoying his massage after bath. He baths with Sarah now and they splash each other too cute! My back kills me though after bathing 2 kids and dressing two kids and massaging one (well 2) kids (Sarah now insists on being massaged too!)

I really miss Aspoestertjie - I hope all is ok!!! :-(((

Ok, thats all I can really remember for now, and all I have time for, Nathan has had enough on my lap and my leg bouncing him is getting sore too!!!

Promise to catch up more regularly again!!!

Love and light to you all
