Jan/Feb 2011 Mommies (Nov & Dec 2010 early babes)

Hello girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gosh it's been ages!!! Sorry i've been non-existant!

Kade is now just over 5 months and I started work 3 May! As you may know from Facebook we haven't had an easy time with him!

He's the happiest baby during the day but let 6pm arrive and our vampire comes out. Doctors (and we've been to three now) have all put it down to chronic colic and say it will go between 6 and 9 months. We've really been through hell with his tummy and get hardly any sleep at night. Most nights we average 2 hours in total.

So it's been draining and put a real strain on everything! But i'd never change him for anything and I know that hopefully soon this horrid phase will pass!

Now that i'm back at work I hope to be on more often now that I have a few hours in the morning away from monster!! hehe!

I definitely won't be going back to read 5 months worth of posts so i'm just going to join in from here! Feels great to be back!

Mandy, my hubby the same, he can really irritate me sometimes, like last night, Alexia was in our bed and wide awake for some time, which I was up with her, then he heard start crying and woke up and took her for a little bit, she started crying and it was not even 5 minutes he started getting irritated with her so I took Alexia and told him he sits for 5 mins and gets so freaking irritated, and I will get up 10 times a night and him once, and I let him sleep the night, I also dont get to sleep in the day, yes Im not running my backside off and stressing about work, but I dont get a chance to rest, so he has had a few words from me too.

Maryke, I pm'd you. Sorry Roxette wasnt so great but at least you had a good weekend! As for Christine, we felt the same.

Mandz, we were talking about it on the weekend with a friend of mine who has 3 kids, she said that she also didnt follw the rules to the T and her kids are fine, I think its just more of a guideline, and what they say must be done scares us half the time. When you started Jordyn on the pumpkin, did you give one tspoon and then cereal or what?

If Alesssandro had it his way, he would not have milk at all, that child just does not want, he always pushes it out with his tongue, Athena we have to give while shes asleep, she will have "some" awake. Alexia hasnt been too bad lately but she fights also.

Ster, how is Inge feeling?

Mandz I remembered you asked a question about af and cramps post c section> i used to get cramps before but since c section, no pain at all. i also dont know when i can start using the other cerelac maize and wheat varieties.

thats all i can type< Aaqil is fighting me for the keyboard. since he is sick his bedtime has gone out the window. he wakes constantly at night, and dh nose is stuffy and snoring so once Aaqil goes down i cant fall asleep again because of the snoring.

Roxette was crap she is way past her sell by date she sang on a backtrack she hardly moved on the stage, I know she was very ill but don't try and put up an performance if you know you not up too it BUT the rest of the weekend was great, but I think I drank too much but o well it was worth it .........and o my gosh are the woman in Brits a feisty bunch of hooligans

Chris that's a crap one don't feel bad we also had an issue with Christine she fired me LOL but all I can say is she is very arrogant and likes poking her noise in other peoples business....O ja I also downloaded a nice list of what and when to feed what en when, if you pm me your email address I can email it to you if you like?

Mands I feed my boys anything I don't do that little bit of this for week then a little bit of that for a week I buy the different flavours purity don't have time to cook and puree ja I know bad lazy mom! Nice when the grow up not so nice when you think way back when, when he whore those tiny little clothes.... my boys eat maize I don't see any problems with them

Suriya congrats on 5m! Glad your little ones are doing great and Shrevash eating like a champ

My lg is having her first concert on friday night and I am so proud I bought front row seats just as the tickets went on sale I was at the gate picking up the boys, can't wait to see the concert!

The boys are doing fine llewellyn tries to sit aiden is to lazy and nothing special further.....

I think I will be in bed by 7 tonight again.......still recovering

Chris- I forgot you asked about the food thing.. I know my Paed said cereal for a week once a day then twice d day, then you replace one cereal with veg. She suggested 3 days of one kind to rule out allergies( I didnt follow this to the T I will admit ) . I started with butternut, sweet potato, carrot, cooked apple or pear, raw banana. I am sure pumpkin and gems are an option too, just havent thought that far LOL! Dont worry J also loved his cereal from the start and still does. I am still wondering though if I need to move from Rice Cereal to Wheat or Maize and nobody answers

How are you all doing?

Thashreya and Shrevash are doing fine. We started Shrevash on purity and he loves it. I swear one of these days he is going to refuse milk and just want food. He fights with his bottle but with the purity he eats like a champ.

Chris - I hope your babies feel better soon.

Ster - I hope Inge gets better soon. Don't stress we know how you feel. I used to leave DH to sleep while I battle with the babies and then eventually wake up my mom to help. Now I wake DH up to help. At first he fussed about it but he does it. He still complains but at least he does help out.

Mandz - My niece had the same problem as Jordyn with Nan2 but then my sister-in-law changed her from Nan2 to Infacare 2 and she is fine now.

Ster unfortunately I am a first time mom, not sure about the whole ear/teething thing- think you will have to wait for the pro's to reply. About the DH issue I can relate, men just don't seem to get it. I can almost hit the roof, when I hear Jordyn through the monitor, leave it and the next minute DH nudges me to get up! I mean if he is awake why doesnt he go see! In your case he needs to realise you are at your wits end, maybe ask him to set aside a couple minutes when it suits him and discuss how you feel. You will never achieve anything at 1am in the morning, and in anger- we all do this! I would say for now while bubs is miserable if he is the one staying up watching TV etc, why dont you go to bed 6/7pm and he has LO until say midnight and then you take over from there? That way you both get a good 5/6 hours sleep, but know that the other one is listening and tending to LO. It can work if he understands how you feel and is prepared to try help. what do you think?

Chris- Shame man hope Alexia gets better, is the ear infection related to teething? Why I ask is twice now Jordyn has rubbed his ear at bed time and while drinking, and last night he actually started screaming in the middle of a feed while sleeping. Other than that he hasnt been too bad. I guessed maybe teething, yet no sign of pearlers.

Hi everyone else, where is everyone today???

I started reducing the Dulphalac and seems Jordyn's tummy hardened up. I think maybe I tried weening him too quick. I wonder why the nan2 is so terrible for the tummy, and if he will get used to it. Is anyone else having the same issue? I know it is a natural product but really to have him pushing like that is horrible.

No other news, just that I am glad I didn't have to have a funeral for my PC after all yesterday
