Hi Moms!

Ster, Alessandro also had ear infection a little ago and I think Alexia is starting with it now, she is up every hour too! and even when put in our bed she still is so restless, we gave her nurofen and she was up for about an hour this morning, eventually she fell asleep and slepto for quite a while, I think she was so tired. Yesterday she was sooo grumpy! Crying most of the day which isnt like her, so I think I have to phone the paed to get the antibiotics. She has been like a triplet all on her own cos the other 2 have been sleeping like champs!

The ladies who are giving solids, as Sterretjie asked, please can you give arough breakdown, im too lazy to search and what better way of research - getting first hand experiences.
Iv started on solids, but Alessandro seriously could just eat solids and not have any milk, that boy fights his bottle! So we now give him porridge in the morning and evening and see if he wants milk after. I was thinking to start him on pumkin this week, maybe wed or thurs.

Did you give your lo's it for a week before starting on the next thing, some ladies do and others say a week is long? What is yoru take?

Anyway, we have to get rid of our nanny, I am so upset but she has been caught stealing, stealing behind our back and possible stealing, so she really has to go.

Hi Ladies

I'm at my wits end - Inge was on antibiotics because of her ear infection but it seems that the ear is still bothering her and for the last week she literally wakes up every hour and a half to two hours during the night. I'm so tired and I don't know what to do anymore. She drinks either 90ml or just take a few sips and then sleeps again. as soon as you take the bottle out the fingers are in and she sucks on them like an electrolux. do I take her back to the Pead or do I just assume that it is teething? Problem is I don't know for how much longer I can carry on waking up so often during the night and then still be at work the entire day.

Sorry, I know I sound like a moaner - I might still become a murderer. I asked DH to please help me - he will either talk to Inge during the night and then when she is wide awake he will hand her back to me saying "she doesn't want to sleep". Last night he was watching TV and I went to ask him to please help me with a feed or two (at about 23:30). He came to bed not long after that and nicely plonked the monitor next to my bed and went to sleep - I gave him a piece of my mind at one o' clock this morning.

hope you are all well. Sorry will do personals a bit later but if anybody can help me with advice I would really appreciate it

Hello Moomies :-)

Shew it's quiet in here on weekends :( I have had quiet time with Jordyn today, DH is working but I am hoping he comes home soon :(

Lizelle- yippeee on Kayden doing so well on the bottle and Nan as well, at least you don't have to stress too much when you go back to work. Time must be close now?

Carmen- Hope the breast to bottle transition goes smoothly. I was lucky J took both Breast and Bottle from day one. I guess the only advice would be don't try when LO is crying/hungry/grumpy, so possibly do a little BF then try bottle? I hear TT bottles are good.

Binks- Well done Vanya, making mom proud!

Suriya- Happy 5 months Shrevash :)

Suhaila- Maybe you should go to the doc, maybe he could give you some kind of booster? I had a really sore throat yesterday, everywhere you go people have the flu- be careful ! Thankfully feel okay today so I hope it was nothing. I don't want to get sick as what are the chances bubs will get sick too?!

Vix- Hope you still reading the posts, WE MISS YOU! us first time moms count on moomies like you for advice!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told you, we are the nicer bunch ;)

Other than that, Jordyn is becoming a confident sitter with fewer tumbles and sits for much longer now too :-) I had to go clothing shopping for 6-12 months clothes (I got enough clothing to sink a battleship at my shower but all the small stuff !) and MIL joined me so he got double spoiled! So yesterday and today I have been washing the new stuff, packing the small stuff away and re-packing  It always hits home how fast he is growing when the clothing gets that tad bigger!

What sort of purees are you feeding your LO's? I do sweet potato, butternut, pear, apple, banana and then I do some of the purity for out and about as well. If you started with Rice Cereal, have you moved onto wheat/maize yet? And should we, and when ? so many questions :silly: Bubaloo is sound asleep again so I'm waffling now.....

Oh and Maryke- hope you have an amazing weekend away :-) Can't wait to hear about it and maybe see pics :)

Thanks for the vote's!

Thanks Carmen for the Weather update - will be packing some cool and warm - cause i'm there for the whole week.

Kayden start drinking the Nan yesterday (without any hassle's), i was so surprized. Now i got her on the bottle during the day and still want her to BF during the night - now i just got to figure out how i can stop my milk from producing milk during the day, maybe to just express a little when it starts feeling full and sore...got to go google - or maybe some of you have advise - i've got the pills to dry them out, but then my milk will prob stop at night as well? Not sure what or how.

Going to CT tomorrow (Sunday) after her 12:00 feeding, and then there's no more internet for me - so got to figure this out before then.

Hope you all have a great weekend and week ahead, i'll prob be coming back the Friday or Sat morning.

Take Care*

Hi all
Hope you well
Vix miss your posts and humour
Suriya - congrats on 5 months
Lizelle enjoy CPT - it's a bit overcast and chilly today.
Binks awesome that Vanya has taken the bottle
The hairloss is normal post pregnancy. Oh the joys!
My feet have not gone back to normal. Swelling gone but the ligaments still feel loose and my shoes are all tight feels like my feet are a size bigger.

I now have to wean M onto bottles. I have the TT bottles. She has resisted the last 2 attempts. Any tips of how to do it please, using EBM
