Yvette - your girls are beautiful!!!! And Emily is growing so nicely

Suhaila - Aquil is so cute!!!! I am also a working Mom - well, I will be from Wednesday. I am quite excited and nervous on how to juggle work and a baby but I'm sure it will be fine. I'm a Technical Manager (Menswear) working for Edcon in their Quality Assurance Department.

Binks - Vanya is also growing nicely. Inge also gives us some smelly farts and I sometimes wonder what she eats to case this - have to start checking my fridge!!!!

Maryke - sure you cannot wait for all the holidays coming up - you must enjoy every moment and remember to rest also!!!! And I'm sure you are going to miss them!!!!

Vix - welcome to the forum Sorry to hear about C - hope he gets better soon. Unfortunately that is the fun of creche. Glad the twins are growing so nicely. I agree with you re creche / nanny. You see, if you don't have kids yet you think you know what is best for them - until that little baby is in your arms and then suddenly your whole mind set change.

AFM - Inge vomited 4 times on Wednesday night (not a lot but could be from the Reflux - my thought at the time). Thursday she was fine in creche and Thursday night she only drank 40ml of her 18:00 bottle and soon after that she vomited again. I took her too Netcare Mulbarton as her Pead is there. Went to Casualties and was first send to open a file which took about 20 minutes as nobody knew what they were doing. Anyway eventually I was taken to see the doctor. The more I explain to him Inge vomited 5 times in 24 hours the more he told me that she only vomited once on Thursday night and there is nothing he can do for her. Eventually I ASKED him if he would mind checking Inge's throat because I'm sure it must be tender from the vomiting. He half heartedly checked and said that her throat is fine. I asked him if there is a Pead around and he said yes. Me "can we call the Pead please?"; him "No, you can only see the Pead if the child is admitted. Me "so, what do I do if my child vomits again"; him "then you bring her back". I was by then very p!ssed off and left. Long story short - I made an appointment with Inge's Pead for Friday. Friday morning I wrote a nice email to the head of Netcare Mulbarton and was contacted by their Casualty department head to say that they are investigating my complaint.

Inge ended up having a VERY RED throat due to a post nasal drip and the phlegm caused the vomiting. she is on Antihistamine for 14 days and cortisone nose drops for 7 days. Luckily her chest is clear. I'm waiting for the head of Mulbarton to contact me tomorrow (she wasn't in the office on friday) - I'm refusing to pay for Thursday night's so called dr that cannot do his job properly.

At 15 weeks Inge is 64cm and 5.9kg. Pead says she will be a tall slender girl

Ok moomies...question.You know if your baby like never cries? Well Jordyn when he has had a slight fever he sometimes will be asleep and the next minute has the house in heart racing mode with a blood curdling cry-you know the one where he almost reaches the end of his breath??? Why does this happen. Like we had a great day today, he was fine..the only thing I can think is he hasnt had a poo since friday morning and he usually goes once a day. He has woken twice like this now since he has gone to sleep at 6pm tonight.Could he be in pain?I just pick him up and hold him for like two minutes, he calms down and goes back to sleep. its like he gets a fright or is in pain. I must sound looney, but like i said he never cries and it breaks my heart not knowing...He doesnt seem to have a temp as I have checked. his cheeks are a little flushed since this afternoon, teething?

Vix-You definitely need an award for being supermom at the moment! I havent had the misfortune of bubs being sick yet(touch wood) but I know I would be a basket case, especially first time around. I hope Christopher gets better soon and the tweenies sail through untouched Well done Alex and Jono on playgym activities Thanks Vix, I am loving motherhood and I do realise that I am one of the lucky ones with an angel baby...My cousins cant believe I have been so lucky LOL... I am glad I was allowed to learn to be a mom with a good as gold baby. Well I am really glad the tweenies werent colic cos I am sure that would send anyone into a loony bin Shame how long before you get your residency?And what do you do, or what would you like to do?

Binks-shame hope Vanya's tummy comes right, they always seem miz if they dont go...Flip are you also still having problems with the Avent bottles? Man I almost threw the whole lot away yesterday, I was trying to make one and it flippin leaked when i shook it and then went on to take a different top end...which did the same....So i got so angry I took a whole new bottle and gave him that...thereby wasting a whole bottle of formula...it makes me so mad!

Shots went ok Vanya now 13w weight 6.5kg and 64cm in length doing really well, still getting up about 5 times anight to eat, and only one dirty nappy since thursday, She passes alot of wind and boy they smelly (i havent changed my diet at all) so i think it might be her tummy bugging her when she want to cuddle.

Yvette im still not winning with the bottles i dont know what im going to do. Vanya the same right now im losing my temper terribly these days (( might be the lack of sleep))

I'm Vix mother to 3 sons, complete crazy Brit and these days total stranger to all my very special Moomie friends, it has been far too long since my last post and I fear many of you will have forgotten I ever existed LOL

Sorry for abandoning you my friends! Things are just meag hectic this side, I STILL haven't finished cleaning and re packing the kitchen or any of my house for that matter, C was off school last week sick and my life just stood still, sh1t 3 kids under 3 is hectic!!!!!!! Ironically C @ 2.5 years old is more work than the tweenies put together!!

Mmmmm where does one begin??????? I'll start with me then reply it's easier.......

C has a ear, throat and chest infection (yay for sending him to creche this year, I knew I should've bought shares in my Paed's business before hand!) So he's on antibiotics AGAIN. He's also got a Venteeze pump and a steroid for 3 days but I had to stop the steroid (preflam) because it ewas soooooo disgusting he would puke everytime so none was staying and infact it just made him feel worse. I decided to just give him Betanoid instead, it's a 3rd of the strength but he'll at least drink it. So I've been cleaning up a fair amount of puke the past few days and Alex decided to join in last night a projectile vomit his bedtime feed grrrr he's nnot sick, I think he drank on top of a wind (it's amazing how these things scare the cr@p out of you with your 1st child but the second time around it's as if it's nothing)

I am desperately trying to keep C as distanced from the tweenies as possible so they don't get sick but he just loves them so much he wants to kiss them all the time, how can you explain to him no?

The boys had their 14w vacinations only at 18w because I didn't want to take them while they were having all those mini fevers.

Alex is now grabbing toys on the playgym and having a ball with it, Jono is still a little slow in that dept but he enjoys watching his brother move the toys. C also likes to climb in and play on it so you can imagine how cramped it is on the tiny little playgym. C has also decided that the baby bath is his bath so now he sits in this tiny bath with ALL the toys and the tweenies are back to using the basin (which I must say they don't really fit into anymore) Got a pick, will upload when I get on the PC (haven't touched the PC for about 4w)

Maryke- wow your up coming holidays sound great! I really must come visit you and give you these sleep sacs but this coming sat we're going for our photies, can you make a little free time on sunday afternoon perhaps?

Mandz- you sound like you're loving motherhood which is great! My 1st time was horrific with a colic baby so I'm pleased the tweenies have been easier.

Alex is also a super star when it comes to his porridge but Jono is still not ready. From the end of April though he is 5m and then he needs to seriously start learning to eat food.

Lizelle- Kayden's hair is gorgeous, I love a baby with lots of hair!

Yvette- your girls are gorgeous! Sorry Emmi is being a little rascal, C was exactly the same hated being put down! Drove me insane! Thankfully the tweenies have no option but to comply! Sorry hubby is a grumpy sick thing too!

Ster- Sorry people were judging you on your choice to put Inge in creche, I think you already know my thoughts about what's best but I honestly think a creche is better than a nanny at home alone all day without transport in case of an emergency!

Suhaila- I am a SAHM but not through choice I'm afraid, I am STILL waiting for my residency so cannot work for a company yet. I must say I would much rather be able to go out to work (as long as it was a decent job) because it can get a bit much sitting at home with your children day in and day out never speaking to another adult, I think if money was no object and I could afford to just do play dates all the time then yes being a SAHM would be nice. I was running a business from home www.babybear.co.za but I don't have much time for it these days between the kids and the housework! I don't have a maid, can't stand having someone else in my house drives me nuts especially when they clean like their arse and think I should do things their way! Uh uh I am a stubborn Brit and I will clean my own house thank you very much! Your family history sounds like a nice mix! I can see where Aquil gets sucg a unique gorgeousness from, he's really a cutie pie!


Mandz- forgot to say Jordyn is really a little stunner!

MommyN- I see you too have been scarce, guess we're going through that 'tough' phase together. It's the toddler that makes life hard isn't it? Thanks for having us by you for coffee last week! As soon as I have cleaned up this house ( C is going to school monday if he's better or not) then you guys can come through to me. Maybe thursday what do you think?

Chris- I hope your trio are feeling a bit better!

@Maryke fun times ahead for you. We are most probably going to Mauritius next month. Would like to have my babies 2 years apart, so when Aaqil is about 1 and a half will try for number 2.

@Lizelle with babies in our families its a genetic potluck. One of Dh great grand dads was a blued eyed blond haired Scotsman and his family has some Afghani in them. One of my great grandmothers was a green eyed red haired English woman and my side has Arab blood so there is a lot of variety in looks:)

What do you moomies do occupation wise? Is anyone a stay at home mom?

We are going to my grandparents anniversary bash (they are married for 62 years) and my grandads birthday, he is 90 years old

Wow nice to see your sister after so long Yvette..DH sister also lives in NZ and they were out in December.

About the whole DH "dying" with a cold- they are worse than babies when they are sick. I agree that we can never just cut off, nomatter if we feel ill, or are running of fumes after a night of no sleep-it doesnt matter cos we can never just have timeout. And my word, you have 3 kids!How on earth do you do it?AND you go back to work soon am i right????????? I wonder why EMily screams if you put her down, that must be very hard, cos when they sleep you need to do other things. Have you tried playing soft music to calm her?
