Re: New Mommies to be May, June & July 2011

Hi there all.

Sorry for being mia. You all know how it goes in hospital. Yes, I am at home already. At provincial they only keep you 2 nights if there is no complications.

Gerhardt is such a good boy. He hardly ever cries. Only when he was born, once in hospital and when my mother bathed him earlier today. He just wakes up and starts sucking his hands, then I know he is hungry. (Speaking of, my boobs are getting tingly.)

Kids were so exited when we got home this am. They held him, and wouldn't leave us alone. Hehe. Lize-Mari just keeps asking why is Gerhardt sleeping all the time.

Although he was a whole 3.4 kg's, he looks so small, and newborn clothes are way too big. To think in about a week it will start to fit him. They grow so quickly.

Oh, and before I forget. My dog went crazy when we got home! She ran around smelling everything. We allowed her to come close and get his scent. Now she keeps going to our bedroom. She has calmed down a bit.

I am not in too muck pain. My back and neck hurts. Its either from the anesthesia or from that bed. I hate hospital beds. I am having some emotions. Last night I just wanted to cry. I look at this babies face, and I am just happy. Oh, and I got my tubes tied. And I know I had questions about doing it, but going into hospital, I just knew it was the right thing.

Oh, and my experience with going to provincial was really good. No pains whatsoever.

Congratulations Kanyo, am glad both you and Bokang are well. I hope you get as much rest and recover well.

AFM its sleepless nice but still going on with the headache and am hoping it just goes away

My baby was born at 1.02 pm. She weighs 3.28 her name is Bokang Milaninande

had a midwife appointment and scan this afternoon and everything is fine and E is still growing like a giant! The will not induce me though . She said they can give me a sweep at 40 weeks but thats it! And e is not engaged yet and she said for 1st time babies this should already have happened by 37 weeks otherwise it is an indication that she just wont fit. I also have a lot of amniotoc fluid, which she saids needs to be monitored but nothing to worry about. I googled this but cant find too much info on it?

I am getting so fed up and i just want my baby NOW! But I still have the feeling that she is going to keep us waiting- naughty baby!

Arrgghh!!! Just wrote a long post on my bb and lost it. So Ill just say:
Esmari, he is so beautiful and I love the phot of his head coming out. Your DH takes great pics.

And my nappy rash tip: K had a nappy rash that wouldn't go away and we finally bathed him 2 days in a row in rooibos tea and it worked brilliantly. I used the PnP organic rooibos. I just added a about a litre of really strong rooibos to his bathwater. We bath hin in the basin, so that's quite a lot of rooibos.
