Ok, I can finally do a proper post!

Baba Indaba contacted me. Seems they wanted to do a photo shoot, but I am too far away, now I have to send them photos. They are happy that I am pregnant now, so I can capture my pregnancy. I however don't have money for profecional photos. Luckily dh is a great photngrapher. He has done weddings ect. And I have till next week to take them. They want photos with a white background, but also talking about beach or overlooking a pond.

Re gyni: He is very happy with everything. He gave me some fungal cream, as it hurts when I wipe. So he says it sounds like a vaginal infection(not uti), and the ph of urine a bit high, but can be due to the fact that I haven't had water yet. We also spoke about the birth, and he said in his per7onal and proffesional oppinion, i am going to be safe in our government hospital, and i should not worry.

He also said that I should abstain from sex from about 28w, and use condoms in the meantime, as sperm can cause labour. He will also give meds at 30w to prevent preterm labour. My lg was prem.

Congratulations Esmari on the little boy!

Now here's a funny story. Someone i know just gave birth to a LG after being told by the gynae that it was a boy! It sounds like she just asked the one time and never bothered again, cause she says she never even saw anything on the 4D. But ja, all that blue stuff when she was actually team pink!

On a very sad note, a friend of mine passed away over the weekend, leaving behind her one week old baby that she tried so long to conceive. I spoke to her 3 days after the birth and she was already at home and said both her and the baby were doing great, but it looks like she had a blood clot. Still not sure if the pregnancy/birth caused it. I feel so sad, thank God my scan was today, i feel so much better.

The baby weighs about 900 grams. I thought at this point he'd be over a Kg esp since his dad is huge and i'm pretty tall for a girl. Buit apparently he's right on track with everything. I even checked on some website, which showed he's a little bit above average . Not that i want a big baby, since i'm going the natural route!

I managed to do the booking, my 4D scan is on the 17th of March. Thanks Rakker (I think) for your input on Unitas v Sunninghill. To me good service beats everything else. I've been to sunninghill and the service there was also good. But since i just love my gynae, there's no reason why i can't just go to Unitas.

Solo, the way i see it, from the little i know is if your BF says he wants to be involved in your child's life no matter what, then whether you're with him or not it will not make any difference. He's gonna be there for the child. I'm just not sure what his idea of being there is if he doesn't want to contribute?? But my point is, i think more than anything, your child needs a happy mom, now you have to decide whether you'd be happier without your BF or not. However if you do decide to stay with him i think you need to accept him as he is. Otherwise you'll give yourself a heart attack trying to get him to be what he just isn't. Anyway, that's just how i see it. Do what makes YOU happy. Whatever that is.

TaNasha, you sound just like me, i have a dozen of such little questions, I find myself wondering what temperature (Exactly) should the baby's water be when i give him a bath? I went and bought a ton of clothes the other day and my sisters just laughed and told me to take about 90% of them back cause they are not suitable for the season the baby will be born in.

Not a single stretch mark so far, but my breasts are so itchy, i'm starting to worry.

Do babies need to wear hats when they're born?

And also in July it will be summer here, so should my LG be dressed warmly? as in long sleeved outfits? Or how does it work?

Glad your scan went well MsDee! And that its still a LB Cute I agree it's not easy on a BB. I have to use mine most of the time instead of the internet at work
How did the bed booking go?

Noelene I'm dreading the heartburn! All I have had so far is a an acid throat and very strange burping!! But not actual heartburn, but I know it's coming because I have a hiatus hernia...Yuck!!! I bought my bottle of Gaviscon the moment I found out that I'm pregnant but have only needed to take some on two occasions.
