Wow. I guess we're now at that point where we need to do some serious planning!

We have an appt next week tuesday. I have to decide if i wanna have my baby at Unitas before then. I think it's too far for me. I'm right next to Sunninghill netcare and i love the hospipital, Unitas is also quite nice. My issue is with gynaes. I love my new gynae and the thought of finding a new gynea at this point after the trauma i went through with my first one Guess i just have to cross fingers and hope baba will give us enough time to get to Centurion when it's time.

So much to do, my head is spinning. Tons of shopping, photo shoot, hospital bookings, birth plans, finding a nanny. I think i'm just gonna do what i do best: Burry my head in sand

I am such a procrastinator, it's scary! Thank God hubby's coming back. He's good at getting things done

They are on the West Rand and not too far from my house. They charge R1200-00 (or R1000-00 cash upfront). My medical aid will pay R900-00 towards antenatal classes. Whoopee, as the funds will only come out of my medical savings!!!!
Classes fill up quickly and the recommend that you start going from 26 weeks. The next classes start on the 9th March and I will be 23 weeks, but if I hadn't have put my name down I would have missed out.

I've also started the calling around for day care as I will have to start putting my name down....

Solo, clientele life has a hospital cash back plan. They have 2, one pays R3000 pd including pre-existing conditions, and the other one R5000 pd not including pre-existing conditions(12mth waiting period). I am definately looking into it, as I can do with the xtra cash.

Am going for a urine test later at gp. If they make me pay R300 for that, Im gonna scream, cause I dont wanna see the doc, just want results so I can get a script (free) from my gyni whom I see on tuesday.

Meags!!!!!! Wow, wow, wow!!! What a gorgeous bump I can't imagine getting that big...LOL I guess I'm in for a BIG surprise hehe. Honestly though, I love your bump, the two of you look so beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Esmari - which hospital cash back plan are you looking into? I've been on the Standard Bank Hospital Cash Plan for three years now so I will get R1000-00 a day - after the first two days. I called now to increase my premiums and thus my benefits, but they said that the maternity benefits won't increase because I'm already pregnant. Pity I canceled my premium feminine care plan two years ago - they would have paid me R4000-00 maternity benefits!!!! So I looked at other plans on the internet and they all say you have to pay premiums for 12 months before you can claim maternity benefits. Sigh!! I was hoping to get some serious cash back haha!!!! Hey, it all helps

I'm going to call my gynae's office or even the hospital to find out when I should book my bed. I think between 24 and 26 weeks should be ok though.

I had a bad day yesterday at work! I think the preggy hormones went a bit mad I got upset with a lot of little niggly things about the way things are done here and I landed up slamming doors and stomping around like a crazy thing. All to no avail hehe Things will never change here LOL

Talking about work... when do we to start the UIF process? The thought of 3-4 months unpaid leave is giving me nightmares....and UIF doesn't pay much at all. I shall have to resort to standing on the street corner with my cardboard sign: "Single, no job, baby to feed, mother to look after...Please help" LOL

Karien - they like you to book your bed around the 28 week mark so that should be fine, I booked mine early because i am going to a very popular hospital.
