MsDee, personally I would get another doctor. He sounds very insensitive! They are suppose to make us feel relaxed and informed!
My gyni is so nice. We even communicate on a personal level. For example: With my previous pregnancy he told me that he is also ready for another baby, but his wife not. And we talked about religioun. He made me feel special. Dh likes him too. And that is also important.
Anyway, glad your scan went well. It would be so lovely to hear my little beans heartbeat!

Laurakim, wow, 2cm. That is still so small. To think after 9months they are about 50cm. My little bean is probably not even 2mm right now!

Hi Karienh. I hear you on the tiredness. Man, I wake up tired in the morning.

Claire, it realy is a nice date. As long as its not bad news. My app is only at 5. Hope we will be in time then for dinner and a movie. Our regular anniversary date. So glad my mom and sis will be here to look after my children.

Tanz, if you are reading. I am so very very sad for you. For it to happen once was half ok for me, I could cope. But man, that second time was difficult. So I will be thinking of you constantly. If you would like to chat to someone who knows how you feel, invite me on fb. Esmari jacobs - we would have friends in common.

Afm. Finally got a hold of my gyni yesterday by email. He wants me to continue with the progesterone although its so high. Says the count can differ every day.
Man, 5w before my first scan. I will be 9w then.

Tanz, i can only imagine the pain you must be going through. I'm so sorry dear. #So sad#

My scan went very well all I can say is we are so grateful. Unfortunately my gynae doesn't seem to appreciate that we are first time parents. All we know are the things we remembered to ask.

We know we're 12 weeks, 5 days. He did the DS test (wish us luck), I have no idea how big the baby is but it looked pretty big on the monitor. S/he was playing around, could see the hands & legs. It was just beautiful.

Had to ask to hear the heartbeat, which he let us hear 4 all of 3 secs. Didn't tell us what the rate was (forgot to ask).

He said he only wants to see us in 2- 2&1/2 months (will be 20-22) wks then. Guys is this normal?

Sorry 4 the long mail & I'm so grateful our baby is doing well but I'm a bit traumatized by my doctor's attitude. If you think I'm overeacting pls tell me. But it's our 1st child & I need a Dr who at least seems interested

We had our first scan last Thursday - it was awesome!

Heard the heartbeat - really never gets old hearing that sound!!!

Baby is 2cm long (as long as my daughters thumb - she measured - not sure how but she is adamant) and our due date is the 20 June!

Solo - enjoy the scan! I hope everything is perfect. Our first scan made the pregnancy seem real for the first time.

How did it go with you exam PhilliaJane?

I'm doing well. I think my symptoms might actually be getting better. I'm not as hungry any more and the bloating is much, much better (so glad about that). But I still get tired - from about 3pm my energy levels start to drop and I just want to cry. Yesterday when my DH came home I immediately started crying = the poor guy!

And tomorrow there's only 200 days left till my EDD!!!!!

Ooooho! my God why this is happening to good people. I really feel so sorry for Tanz, I wish God can comfort you in this horrible time.
