thanx for the advice tanash and esmari...i think u right, best person to speak to would be my doc or gynae as what works for one might not work for the other...I was so sure i was going to get the mirena fitted but then a colleague's gfriend fell pregnant recently with it in and she ended up having an etopic pregnancy and then last month whilst sitting in the waiting room at the gynae I was chatting to another mommy who also had the mirena but still fell pregnant...Gosh -decisions, decisions...

Oh well, if all else faills then my DH will just have to go for a vasectomy..he of course is not very impressed with this option

I did not know that the no sex also includes orgasms?! I will ask the midwife when I see her again.

Tanasha, I do envy you on the holiday. And dont feel alone on the no sex. I am 28w almost, and doc said no sex due to previous prem baby. I read somewhere that that includes orgasm........

Hehe Solo, not realy worried about the weight. Its within range. Thank goodness. And I know that you dont pick up much in third trimester.

Mandy, I dont know about the bc. But I didnt have a great experience with mirena. We used condoms for years. Best you talk to your doc.

Ladies, I realy need your prayers. My dh has exams the 10th (engineering maths 1)and 13th (management). He NEEDS to pass. We cant waist our money at this stage. This is our future! And next year I will also study, jay, cant wait!

Tanasha no your baby is definitely on the right track, mine is quite big! I was quite shocked when I saw how much he grew in 4 weeks. Apparently from 20weeks weight is suppose to double, so if I take his weight from 20 weeks to now he was suppose to weigh about 770g - he's growth chart is also in the highest range. Gosh, I hope I'll make it to 38 weeks!!

Mandymel I can't help with the birth control advice as I haven't been on bc for many many years! But I will also need to prevent conception after the birth now that I know that I'm not as infertile as I thought I was! There was/is a thread here on Moomie about falling pregnant on Mirena.

Laliek it seems I'm also going to be having a csec due to baby's size (and my age). Dr also said we can see at 36 weeks, but he reckons already that I may as well just get used to the idea of a csec. Baby weighs 1.7kg at 29 +4.

TaNasha, I do envy you going on holiday! I'm counting the days till my ml starts at beginning of June!

My baby only weighed 695g at 24 weeks, should I be worried? Or do you just have a little giant growing there Laliek?
