LOL at men! Can you believe they actually feel sorry for themselves when we give birth? Whether it's because they feel absolutely awful because we might not go back to being the same down there, or whether it's because they feel traumatised by the birth. Oh my. One can only laugh (thanks MsDee: )).
Mandymel BF also admitted to being completely freaked out by cutting the cord. He said it was all gristly and he nearly threw up and passed out again. So I doubt he will be cutting this baby's cord.
Esmari I don't have anyone else to go into the theatre with me. My mom is too old (she turns 70 in June), my sister is in Australia and my biggest, closest BFF is in Natal. Everyone else is just acquaintances.... no-one else that I can allow to share such an intimate and special time with me. BF is just going to have to suck it up....ag shame hehe
And they say women are the weaker sex?

Esmari, I have heard so many stories of men being "put off" by seeing their wives give birth. I mean what on earth did they expect to see?

mandymel, It's so funny that we are the ones who have to push these babies out and all they have to do is hold our hands, yet they are the ones who feel "traumatised"! LOL!

Re: The issue of contraceptives, i also have to find a solution fast, otherwise i foresee baby no:2 conceived before the end of the year. I've only ever tried the pill, for 3 months and i bled for the full 3 months that i was on it!

Ya'll are so right, men can be real babies sumtimes...I remember with my labour last yr my DH refused to look down whilst I was in delivery...He still tells me all the time about how emotionally traumatised he was by at all and he still has flashbacks as he made the mistake of catching a glimpse just as the dr was delivering the placenta...apparently it was really gory! Nevertheless, when the doc asked him if he wanted to cut the umbilical cord he politely said no

Still he is psyching himself up now already coz he has promised that come hell or high waters his determined to cut the cord this time round

My hip pain is gone. Hooray!!!!!!

Ugh, sorry everyone else who's in pain. A friend of mine spent almost 2 days in hospital because of BH so i can imagine how painful it must be. I only ever get pain if hubby and I have a hectic session between the sheets. The longest it ever lasted was 24hrs when i was around 26 weeks. But it wasn't so bad.

Solo, LOL! I really think your BF is so funny! Once again, you either laugh or you cry! & I've decided to just laugh off all this men's nonsense! Do what feels right to you. The other day hubby accused me of being selfish because HE's the one who'll suffer should things not go back to normal there. I'm telling you i burst out laughing! & just last week I brought home a cake and he chose that moment to ask me when next will i be going to the gym, i simply smiled and said, "i'm busy making sure we have a healthy, chubby baby here like we've always wanted!", i think he was shocked a day or two later he was busy telling me just how beautiful i am. Men are just odd creatures who should not be taken too serious!

Solo, if he only knew how sore cotractions is. I have been in labour twice! Imagine tearing or cutting on top of that! He needs a serious wakeup call. Maybe show him a real vaginal birth video! So he can se how the lady stretches!

Ok, just a little 'humour'. My sil gave birth to twins (18). After the birth her dh didnt want to have sex for quite a while. He just couldnt believe that the lady can open so big and wide...........

Ok, so when did breathing become a darn chore? I constantly feel oxygen deprived. And this has to go on for 10-12 more weeks? Jikes!

BettyF, please let us know what your doc decides. I know you really wanted a vbac, but repeat section is not the end of the world! As long as you and baba is safe. Will be thinking of you!
