Hapi I'm not sure where Meags bought her Intelligender test, I tried to look for it in Dischems and Clicks etc but couldn't find any. My sister went on holiday over Dec to the USA so she bought me one there! Some say it's accurate some say it's not but I'm going to do it for the fun in any case

Candi, others may have a different view, but my Gynae said I can basically eat anything really- just avoid things that look obviously dodgy... ie, if you are going to have sushi, have the fresh variety not something that looks like its been sitting around. no problem there... i tend to avoid raw fish that looks like its been sitting around anyway!

she also mentioned that its perfectly safe to have an (alcoholic) drink or two a week... the reason most official advice says 'no alcohol' is because many of us struggle to understand what exactly is 'a moderate amount'. That said, i wont drink at all until after the 1st trimester just to be on the safe side.

There is a whole long list of 'not to eat', but i really wouldnt stress about it. Im going to try a be a whole lot more healty this time around

Ok - but since last night, I have to share this...

My DH seems to be getting more and more excited, he started looking at "Bean" future room and started imagining where what went... and he started asking about car seats, and prams.. and paging through my preggie mag... toooo cute!

And then the decision came, we are actually going to keep the gender a surprise till the day... [nerve wrecked & excited]...

LOL...

P.S The food list of do's and don't's > why must i avoid some foods? Like soft cheese & Shell fish? What has been proven that not eating that has proved to improve children? Please explain?

Hi Meags! Which is the one Dischem sell? Where did u get yours? Welcome to the new ladies!! What you going thru is all good and normal! It is so overwhelming and exciting and emotions are flying! I vowed after Adam that I would not complain this time cos family and friends dont want to hear the negative only the exciting u expecting a bundle of joy! As we are so early no MS for me yet touch wood! Keep forgetting im pregs but put that down to being preoccupied with Adam! ENJOY EVERY SECOND! I am honoured and blessed that I have been given the chance to experiance a second time!!

Skai my next scan is on Monday! Thats also when i get all my results for any abnormalities and downs. I feel abit nervous before every scan, but afterwards im on cloud 9!

I am so excited to try the cabbage test! I wont go painting the nursey blue because the test said so, but it will be fun to see whether it was correct in the end!
