Hi julle almal!
Sjoe, ek het nou sommer trane in my oe. Ek het nou al die post gelees en lyk my baie van julle het nie 'n wonderlike Kersfees gehad nie. Jammer oor al die kiddies wat siek en in die hospitaal is. Ek hoop regtig hulle word gou beter.

Tanz - Ons bid vir Juan. Ek glo en vertrou dat hy beter sal word.

Chanz - Bly dit gaan goed met Michael - hy lyk te cute!!

Deja - Sion is net so oulik!! Lyk of hy die sling baie geniet!

Dit gaan goed met ons. Edrich het gedurende Kersfees begin smile! Ag moedertjie hy lyk te mooi as hy smile! Net moeilik om hom betyds afteneem!! Hy is nogal kamera-sku. Ons kuier bietjie vir Nuwe Jaar in Heilbron!! Gaan saam met my niggie/beste vriendin kuier die naweek! EK kan nie wag om haar te sien nie!!! Ek het nuwe fotos van Edrich op FB gelaai...

Hoop julle het almal 'n wonderlike nuwe jaar!!

Got a update from Tanz and I'm afraid it's not great news. Please keep them in your prayers. I will just paste below what she wrote.

First this update was sent..... "Juan is uit, dis nie goeie nuus nie, dit is toe n gewas op die brein, hy lyk aggresief, hul het van hom uitgekry maar nie als. Hy het erg begin bloei, en moes toemaak, hy is stabiel maar het baie bloed verloor, hul se dis maar moeilik as sy hartjie nou gaan staan kan hul niks meer doen nie. Dankie vir julle gebede."

Then this one followed......"Hulle is terug geroep hosp toe, gese dit gani goed nie. Sy hardklop is af na onder 80 toe en hulle kry ni sy bloeddruk nie. Die bloeding by sy wond wil nie stop nie. Toe gee hulle stollings medikasie en sit die asemhalings masjien op sy hardste. As dit nie werk nie en sy hart hou weer op... Die dokter se dis nie die moeite werd om hom aan die lewe te probeer hou nie!!! Glo jy daai kak! 'N uur later toe kom hulle weer uit en se, hulle het sy hart reg gekry na 130 bpm toe. Hulle het sy bloeddruk gekry, hyt weer kleur en hyt al bietjie krag terug... Hy baklei al teen die pype! Hulle gee medikasie om hom stabiel te hou en dan moet hulle hom nou stabiel kan hou vir 'n week of so voor hulle weer kan opereer. Maar daars darem vordering! Dank die Here!!"

Hi guys,

Just a quick update...sorry no personals. Indigo has been admitted to hospital.The dr suspects whooping cough! Seems like I picked it up from somewhere, which is why I just haven't been getting any better. Now I have infected both my kids but Colby will be ok because he was vaccinated. Apparently, by the time we're adults we no longer have immunities, so even breastfeeding won't protect her. I feel so bad. It is going to take 3 months for her to recover. She turns blue whenever she coughs, so we have to get an apnea monitor for home.

I'm so upset that my gp didn't pick this up. I went back when my antibiotics weren't working and he just stuck me on different ones. Then when the babies started coughing, I took them immediately and he didn't even ask what the cough sounded like! Sent us home with cough syrup. I rushed her off to casualty on Saturday night and the dr told me not to worry and put her on antibiotics which did nothing!!! He should have admitted her then! The paed asked 3 questions and knew what it was. My poor baby had been sick for a week already by then!

Anyway, she is doing much better now. They're taking it day by day. Hopefully we can go home tomorrow. We'll see.

Tanz - I'm so sorry about what your family is going through. I really hope that he starts improving soon and that he'll be ok. Your poor sister...I can only imagine what she is going through.

Lindy - I was really thinking about you now. Can you not get an apnea monitor for Kylie? You can get the from Dischem or from Baby city. We are going to get the respisense for Indi because you attach it to the nappy, so no matter where she is sleeping (in her car seat or pram) we can be sure she's still breathing. Oh and the dr said that the angel care movement monitor is an apnea monitor too. It alarms if the baby hasn't taken a breath for 20 seconds. It picks up the movement of the tummy expanding with air. We like the respisense because it vibrates to wake them if they haven't taken a breath in 20 seconds. Worth looking into...you need your sleep.

Dit het wonders gewerk vir Michael. Ek was in die begin bang om Michael te hanteer met al die pype, maar toe die een verpleegster my wys wat om te doen het Michael baie vinnig beter geword.
Sy sal natuurlik haar hande moet was en sanitize en dan kan sy somer die sister kry om Juan teen haar bors te sit. (sy moet haar toppie en bra afhaal). Dit help regtig.
