Hi everyone

Chanz, I agree, one activity per day is good. painting, clay, drawing, puzzles, reading, music, water...just make it fun. talk to the mom about tv time first though....hulle is MAL daaroor om te grou ;) Hahaha, nuwe wasmasjien is uit....die kinders se vlieg kaartjies was vrek duur gewees die vakansie.

Claire, hope you feel better soon! Sorry to hear about he colic, please come and share some pics :)

Lindy, keeping my fingers crossed that she will start picking up weight soon. Feeding on demand is the best to do in my opinion., hope to see some pics soon from you too :)

We had such a nice day, went to the park this morning and while the babies were sleeping I got time to clean the house and cook dinner. tomorrow Im brewing up a pot of soup again :) Cant wait.

Why is it that kids get hungry at bedtime each night???????? driving me nuts, lol. at the moment it is bfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, small desert and the something else before bed too. Im spending way too much time in the kitchen :silly:

Hi mommies!

I am as sick as a dog! This throat infection has really knocked me. Went back to the dr. today because after 4 days of antibiotic I am still sick. So he's put me onto different ones now. Really hope they work. I am exhausted from being up all night coughing for more than a week now. Add to that caring for a newborn who's colic and it's not fun right now.

Well, that's the bad news. The good news is I only have 4 kg's left to lose to get to my pre-pregnancy weight! I fit into all my clothes again! It rocks! This didn't happen last time...hope I don't pick it all up again!

Lindy - glad to hear you have someone to help you now. It is hectic the first few months but then it just becomes so easy and so enjoyable! It's a good idea to feed her on demand. I'm still doing that...will probably only switch to 3 hourly next week. 6 weeks is a general rule with any major surgery. The danger is that the scar is still healing and can therefore rip really easily (don't want to scare you) Driving is a problem because you might have to react quickly and jerk your abdominal muscles which could cause the wound to open again. That being said...I know lots who drive before the 6 weeks is over and nothing happens. 6 weeks is a long time.

Chanz - shoo! You are brave lady! 3 kids! Here's some suggestions for the 3.5 year old: painting, reading, hide and go seek, baking and when all else fails...Spur, they have an awesome play area! At that age they love helping out with everything and also doing things on their own. I would say plan 1 activity per day and let her play and help you the rest of the day. Did you say circumcision is against the law????!!!!

Skitter - sounds like a house full of fun! Hope your washing machine gets sorted soon! 4 kids must make buckets full of laundry!

Dinner just arrived...pizza! Yummy! Will catch up again later...my talented DH took some newborn photos and I'm dying to share! ;)

Hi Ladies!

I can't even explain how much I miss you ladies!! I have honestly not even looked at my pc in two weeks! Things are so so so crazy here but I am slowly but surely starting to find my feet again.

I have got so much to catch up on and can't wait to do so but my phone is not always that user friendly and at two in the morning when I am trying to catch up on what is happening with you ladies it really is hard to read in the dark with that tiny little writing.

Me and Kylie are both doing very very well. She is still a little slow with picking up weight...she was at the doctors on Tuesday and was only her birth weight then so on Monday we have to go weigh again...so Hold thumbs please that she has gained 200grams. I am now throwing out all the advise that I got and just feeding on demand. If she had a bottle and still wants more I put her on the breast for as long as she wants to be there if she falls asleep then so be it. She is so so so cute and so tiny I can't even explain it.

We had our newborn photo shoot today so I can't wait to come and share some more pics on here.

My MIL arrived yesterday so I think that is why I feel like a human being again! I also have a hair appointment next week (that I will probably cancel) but I can't imagine spending two hours away from her... :tmi: but my MIL is insisting that I go for some pampering while she is here.

My recovery is going so so so well. I drove today ..... I know I was not suppose to but it really did feel ok?!?! Does any of you know why doctors say no driving for six weeks? I don't have a automatic car but it really didn't feel that sore.

Ok well madam is awake again so I better run...will try and post some pics quick.

Hello Mommies ;)

How is everyone?

Lizel- jammer om te hoor oor haar gewig. Is hulle nie tevrede en wat stel die sister/dr voor?

Tanz- daai kersvader storie klink sooo oulik. En ek is so bly jou man is so "hands on". Ek wens meer pappas is so. Ek is ook darem gelukkig met my man maar agv sy stroke toe hy 19 was kan hy nie sy regte arm mooi gebruik. SO eers wanneer Michael sy eie kop kan hou sal my man meer kan bydra.
En ek moet byvoeg-om mamma te wees pas jou so mou. Jy is 'n regte natural.

Skitterling- sjoe I can imagine how you have your hands full. But glad you having fun. And well done on Liams growth ;) I agree, bummer about your washing machine being broken. LOL tell hubby you want one for christmas  he has one week.

Hello to all the other ladies

So what has everyone planned for christmas?

I need some advice. I will be looking after a 3.5yr old girl and 5 month old girl next week. What fun activities can I do with the 3.5 yr old? I really dont want to put her infront of the tv 24/7. Would love some ideas?

Michael is doing well. He is still feeding 3 hourly, i cant complain coz its better than hourly. He is due for his 12 week injections on the 24th but will be taking him the first week in Jan. We have also decided not to circumcize Michael anymore, its actually against the law. And I am not going to pay R400 to the urologist only for him to tell me the same LOL. Michael has started giving proper gummy smiles. But very hard to get it out of him LOL

I am actually so excited. Feel like a kid. tomorrow night we are going to watch a nativity play with live animals at one of the farmyards. Toooo excited. Maybe coz its our first christmas as a family and husband and wife lol

Hi ladies

Shew having a full house can get hectic. By the time I get the girls up and dressed and fed the morning is almost over then lunch, then dinner and so it goes the whole day :) But Im not complaining, the kids are having a total blast and eating extremely well. Tomorrow Im alone with them...hope it goes ok. Just a bummer that the washing machine broke....

Liam went for his vaccinations too, he has grown 8cm's and picked u 2.3kg since birth. Not bad at all.

Sorry for not doing personals now, but a huge hi to all the mommies and babies, hope you are all well.

Have a lovely evening everyone
