Hey ladies, thought I would share my birth story since baby is sleeping so nicely now

here goes:
Whole week I have been having very random cramps, wrote it off and decided if that I do not want natural anymore, was going to ask the doc on Sunday for a csec.
So thursday (39w6d) cramps come and go, get slightly worse at 12 that night, but wrote it off due to the fact that they were not THAT sore.
Never managed to fall asleep and at 2:55woke hubby up and told him it might only be a false alarm but I want to go to the hospital and have it checked out.
Took him a while to wake up during which time I start timing the contractions (7min apart) and packing the bags. One for Liam, Micheala and myself.
Got to the hosp at 3:30 and got put on monitors etc, and shortly after getting there the contractions started getting worse. When we got there it read +-30 and 30 min later it reached 127.
Gynie was phoned and I was told to wait at the hosp until she does her rounds at about 8.
Hubby and M went home and I tried sleeping a bit, easier said than done because another lady was giving birth during that time (boy did she scream )
Got an internal and wow...1cm dilated, better than nothing I thought. Asked gynie if I can go home after she came and examined me, finding that I was 2cm then.
Baby was VERY high and the internals hurt like HELL. So they thought it will only happen tonight. Was instructed to walk a lot and come back if I needed pain meds (pethidine or gas).
Got home 9:30 about and made some breakfast for hubby and with every contraction (6min apart by then) I swung my hips like swinging a hulla hoop. Helped a lot!
Took a bath with M to help with the pain too.
At one we all went down for a nap. I was woken up with really painful contractions at 2:30. Walked around the house while everyone was still sleeping in utter pain.
At thee I just could not handle te pain anymore and I woke hubby up crying telling him to get M and get ready to go again.
Got into a warm bath again and just could not get out, the contractions was about 3min apart and very sore.
Could not get dressed and with every contraction I laid down wherever I was and just waited for the worse to pass before going to sit on the loo. It really felt like I had to poop, lol.
Took me ages to get dressed and once I got dressed I simply could not walk to the car as the pain was constant.
Shame while in the car M was sitting in her chair behind me crying and asking for me the whole time, she did not know why mommy is doing what she was (moaning from pain)
Sucked it up and at 16:00 we were at the hosp. I was instructed to walk into my room (could not do it, so went straight to the loo where my waters broke and I started pushing).
Hubby helped me get undressed and get onto the bed. Telling me to stop pushing the whole time,lol.
He was told to wait outside with M so they can do an internal, so he went out for a smoke.
They opened my legs and saw baby was crowning, so straight to the delivery room. (grrrr, all of a sudden the wheelchair could reach the bed hey)
I begged them the whole time for gas, but they (oh, "they" are the two nurses) just said, wait, wait.....did not like that at all.
While they got kitted out etc I started pushing.
5pushes and 5min later he was out at 16:20 weighing 3.38kg and 50cm long.
What was nice is that I decided when I wanted to push as I was not hooked to any monitors etc. and Once the head is out it is all smooth sailing. Dont get me wrong to get the head out was extremely sore and I did give out a scream or two.
Hubby barely finished his smoke and when he got back it was over. (so much for having him in the delivery room)
I was stitched up and baby was put on my bare skin. Had to stay in the delivery room for about an hour during which baby also had his first feed and I had a drip.
My cord was really weird and the ladies commented saying that I can easily have 10kids, oh hell no!!
Got taken to my new room, which was a private room as all the rooms are private. Had dinner while baby got his first bath and took a quick shower. I forgot to bring a towel....go figure.
Shortly after baby was bought to me and there he stayed until we were discharged the next morning at 10. Got loads of help with breastfeeding and had colostrum immediately after birth. He is a champ drinker, just not awake a lot to do it.

And shortly that was my whole birth experience
Baby Liam waited until his due date....still cant believe it

Hey Chanz thank you for the update! I'm sorry I don't have any advise to increase your milk supply except the jungle juice I will see what I can find out today. I also think it's better for Michael to rather stay in hospital and get better first.

Skitter & Joey- A BIG congrats again May your little men bring you loads of happiness and joy.

Another quick update- Michael is really getting better by the day. He was going to come home Monday that just went past but then Sunday after stopping his antibiotics, his infection surfaced. His blood culture results showed a bad bug (a form of pneumonia). Its highly likely that he got it from me when he passed through the birth canal. Because the night before I gave birth my white blood cell count was high. So mommy was feeling very guilty. But I know a csec would not have avoided it. I think my stitch was infected. But anyway its done. At least he is here and at least they know what to treat him for now. So the paed says he will be in for 2 weeks at the most or 10 days minimum. So by the 25th he should be home And we really can't wait for that day.
The breastfeeding is a little bit of a challenge but am really trying to persevere. I am pumping regularly. I have milk but not quantity. I get at the most 15ml per pump session Paed also gave me egglynol on Sunday to help but hasnt helped much. And I am drinking my jungle juice. So yesterday I resorted to drinking the elixir clean and also today I got alfalfar from the health shop. Apparently its what the cows get. So I really hope it helps. Its hard not having your baby with you, because his scent etc helps milk production too.
Does anyone have any other suggestions to help with my quantity? I am willing to try anything except for alcohol LOL
I was feeling a little down earlier in the week, feel a little sad that Michael is spending his first 3 weeks in hospital. I know he is safer there until he is better. But we miss him terribly. I get this ache when I am not with him. Its horrible. But we just keep reminding ourselves that soon he will be home. And I do believe my and my hubbys positive attitude is whats helping him too

Good luck with Volvo and Ford must just admit their fault... trying to blame you for a defect in their car
Hope the headache doesn't last, don't work yourself too hard at the new home.

I have a killer headache, we are going to dr on Monday so will see if madam turned yet. Waiting to hear from Volvo. Ford cant explain the mag the guy keep saying that we did something wrong

think it might be time to go to the hospital again, walking the contractions off but not really working. Wish i could have an epi, i dont handle pain well
