Oktober & November 2011 Mammas

Hi you all,
Thing are doing great on my side! I'm just busy to sort everything out, clean the pram, carseat etc. Putting all the babystuff together and is trying to sort out the house!!! DH is on a course this week, so I really hope, when he it at home that we can move all his stuff out Edrich's room! I want to get everything ready!! I still think end of October is the D-day!!! But anyways, I still hold thumbs for the 11th!

Lindy - 1.7kg is not too big, think Edrich was at 32 weeks already between 2.4 and 2.6kg, but last week at the 34 weeks checkup it was between 2.4 annd 2.7kg, but dr struggled to measure it... I'm actually excited to meet the LO's! Think it will be somthing to get used to, a small baby again...!

I was laughing just now. Luwan is playing he is a small baby! Sits in the baby chair, He climed onto the pram and wanted me to push him around....! Think he is super excited about this "boetie" everything is "boetie sin"

I have a Tommee Tippee manual Breastpump.... It was working 100%, but there was times I wanted a electric one... You have to have patience with a manual one!! LOL

Speaking of the breaspumps - I must get that all cleaned and check that everything is together...

Joey, thank you for your birth story! Amazing, how things just work out the way they do, and that you did not push at the end. With my birth, my moms dr also said to her, that she is not aloud to push! The cord was 3 times around my neck But as long as the babies are fine, then there is no problem the way they got into the world!

Joey, Glad you and baby are ok. Remember that you tried natural but baby had other plans I know that feeling. So now I dont have a birth plan at all, what every happens this time happens. I made my peace

Lindy, I was yesterday at dr and baby is 1.9kg @ 32.1 weeks. My dr said an average baby girl is now anything between 1.7-1.8kg so I would not worry if I were you. I have to worry cause madam is gaining weight fast I have my Medela pump from the previous pregancy and it still works after 2.2 years

Baby still have not turned yet, dr said if I did not have a previous c-sec she could of turned baby but now it is to dangerous. There is still time and very little space but she can still turn so will have to wait and see. Her ass is sitting on my bladder, she is not going to move fast from her spot. Think she does not like standing on her head so she will rather just sit there

LOL that's what I thought too Lindy....and I got exactly what I wanted.
Men are like that you have to tell them exactly to the T what it is you want.....

Your baby will have the best mommy and daddy.....just be careful not to spoil him too much

Chanz, you're right about the Avent Manual pump but I got to grips with it and the pumping became effortless.
Little Mike will be with you before you know it and you'll love it. Just keep looking forward to that day.

Lol Bule yes that is exactly what you have to do with guys!! Don't hint don't beat around the bush just tell 'em straight what you want exactly and they will get it....hints just don't work with me hahaha Well done girl

Ja Tanz I know it really is not nice...u should just ask your doc straight tell him u are very tired and just need a little break before baby arrives.

AFU - Doc said everything is looking very good with baby!! She is a whopping 1.7kg's and I think that's big but app it's small for 33 weeks?? Can somebody give me some clarity on that? My blood pressure was also pretty low but doc said it's nothing to worry about but tonight I heard the anesthetist say that a low blood pressure can cause problems with the epidural?? Also more research to do dammit I'm gonna be very busy on google.

Another thing is when doc looked at the colour of the umbilical cord it looked like it was around baby's neck?? He did move on to another screen quick but I'm sure he would have said something if that was the case right??

sy perfekte ou seuntjie veilig in jou maag gehou het! Toe ons laas week al die birthing video's gekyk het
by die voorgeboorte klasse, was ek heluit uitgefreak, maar het opnuut besef watse ongelooflike wonderwerk
dit is, dat vrouens hele aparte nuwe mensies kan groei en aan hulle lewe kan skenk!

Ek het ook lank gesukkel om swanger te raak, miskien is dit maar hoekom ek so skrikkerig is. Ek wil niks doen
wat enigsins die ou lyfie se lewe negatief kan beinvloed nie! Hy moet net vir die res van sy lewe die gesondste
en gelukkigste kind wees wat daar is!

Ek en my man het beide moeilke kinderlewens gehad, en dit is vir ons so belangrik dat Reghardt se lot nie
dieselfde sal wees nie!

Elrike- Ek is so bly jou man het besluit om nie in November te gaan nie. Hierdie laaste rukkie is wanneer jy hom veral gaan nodig he.

Bule- You lucky girl. And well done on your male colleagues actually throwing you a stork party. That was really thoughtful. I missed my whole baby shower but I got my biggest present born on that day At least my hubby got to enjoy our shower.

Joey- lovely birth story. Your precious boy is sooooo cute. Love the chubby cheeks. And he is really tall. You remind me how our birthplan doesn't depend on us, it depends on our babies. As long as our babies come out healthy, thats all that matters

Lindy - I also have the mini electric Medela pump. And we bought it second hand 2 years ago. When my sister had her baby last year, she used it and now I use it. It really is Godsent To sterilise it, get a bottle of sterilon and mix accordingly. Then let it soak for 10min minimum and then its ready to use. Bule is right Medela pumps are known as the creme of the crop. My advice would be to rather wait until your baba is born and then if you find the medela not working well then get another one. You might not even need a pump. So hope for the best Coz pumps can be quite expensive. Last I checked, the Medela mini electric costs between R700-R800. And the more advanced ones can cost up to R2000. Its alota money to spend. And like Bule used the Avent Manual, its also a very nice pump. I used it at the hospital and it works. YOu just get tired of pressing the lever LOL
Glad you are feeling better about a natural birth. But just keep an open mind thats all. You never know how your baby wants to come into the world. For me it helped to watch videos of natural and csec births so that I was mentally prepared. Especially when it comes to the medical lingo used in theatres. My hubby also watchd the videos with me and he now says that those videos are nothing like the real thing. He says when its your own child, its beautiful and you dont see the pain

Tanz- Ek was net soos jy in my laaste tydjie voordat Michael gekom het. Ek het so lank gesukkel om swanger te raak maar toe dit finally gebeur kon ek nie glo ek gaan mamma word nie. Dit moet nou nog insink maark ek dink dis omdat ek hom nog nie by die huis het nie Dis 'n awesome gevoel om mamma te word. En die trots wat jou man gaan voel vir jou en julle kind is iets wat net trane bring. Toe ek Michael uit gedruk het, het die trane so by my man se gesig af geloop en al wat hy kon se is "dankie". En my man is gewoonlik macho LOL. As dit jou eie kind is dan is daai gevoelens en emosies daar.

Ai ladies I can't wait for Michael to come home. Ek wil nou ook "pop speel" LOL. I can't believe that he has been in hospital for 2 weeks already and will most probably come home when he is 3 weeks old. Sad but ag he will at least be 100% when coming home.

For the ladies still preggers- try make time for the things you want to do. Like photoshoots etc. We were due to do a photoshoot but Mr decided to come early. SO now we only got 2 belly pics that my hubby took at 6 and half months Time really does fly and before you know it you are holding your precious bundle.
