Shame Claire

Thank you so much for posting. I have been trying that so will just keep trying and hopefully it works

I think you are a wonderful mommy and you are not doing anything wrong. Some babies do just need some attention cuddles and maybe a feed for a while

Hi Lindy,

It has been ages!!!

Just posting to say that I think you should go in when you notice she is sitting up and lay her back down with no contact/talking. She may just be going through a phase because she's just learnt how to sit up from lying down. The same thing happens when they start learning to stand...suddenly they start doing it in the middle of the night! It's just a developmental thing. Try to teach her to settle herself back to sleep by showing her how to lie down again.

By the way, I am super jealous that she is sleeping from 7 to 7! Indigo is 9 months old and has never slept longer than 3 hours!!! I feel like I'm getting this parenting thing so wrong all the time! How is it that other peoples babies are sleeping when mine just don't!?

Hello Mommies!

Geepers how long has it been since we posted on here? I still follow all of you on facebook and the development of you gorgeous babas.

I am having a huge problem at the moment and need youre help. Kylie has recently figured out how to sit up her cot!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

So now my perfect baby that was sleeping through the night every night from 7pm to 7am has started sitting up and playing in her cot. She is not crying or screaming she just happily sits there and plays unless she has wormed her into a position that she can not get out of.

My question is do I just leave her to play (I don't think she knows how to lay back down again) or do I go in there and lay her down and tuck her in again? We have a video monitor so it is very frustrating and distracting to see her sitting up. Sometimes she does cry so I go in and lay her down but not always.

Last night was the worst because she eventually became over tired and just screamed also I made the huge mistake of picking her up twice and rocking her eventually she was so hysterical that I thought maybe she was in pain so I gave her nurofen 2.5ml after 3.5 hours of crying

Hope somebody can give me some advice here.

Hi Ladies

Chanz, congrats that is good news that M is crawling already I wish C will crawl cause Zelri never did. And it is so cute if the crawl.

I have had the worst 2 months of my life so far. C an Z has been sick for 2 months. So far I am taking one of them to the dr each week. Last week was C if she does not get better we must start tests cause it can be asthma. Had to changer her milk and everything I am so tired. My MIL got a back operation 2 weeks ago and now she is going in tomorrow again cause there is still something wrong. R3100.00 for meds for her and she is not even drinking it I am so PO at her  there goes my money for nothing

Tanz, tests came back positive again so back on atibiotics :(. The pead might be a good idea, good luck though and hope you can get some sleep....first trimester is the worst and having sleep deprivation does not help.

Lindy, just keep trying, it will get better.....i did cereal for 2weeks one meal then two weeks two meals and only after that did i make one meal veg and one cereal and then about two weeks after that went to three meals. But L is a hungry baby and does eat a lot and drinks a lot too.Every child is different...you will soon see the cues she gives for more etc.

Chanz, congrats with the crawling, he is too cute and good luck with the teething :( its horrible to say the least.

Hope all the other ladies are still well :)

Mommy to Micheala, Liam and 2 step daughters.
