Hi Ladies!
Champers, I don't know how you are coping with MS and a little one. I totally need to rant about MS and then, if you ladies prefer, I will shut up:
MS is a total BITCH. I've only been suffering with it for 4
days (*whimper*) but it feels like an eternity. I'm hungry but I can't eat and the smell of everything makes me want to throw up. I alternate between moaning over the nausea and moaning over the hunger - because I don't know which is worse. This morning, I woke up at 1:45am to go to the loo (because, to add to the ms, I have also been bleeding slightly and I wanted to check on whether I had bled through the night). And then I felt so crappy that I just camped out on the floor of bathroom. Somehow the bathroom makes me feel a little better than any other room of the house. Hubby woke up because he heard me whimpering in the bathroom feeling sorry for myself and he followed the sounds. Poor guy, he came to sit on the bathroom floor with me and the
smell of him (that lovely, pheremony smell of his body which I used to
love pre-pregnancy) instantly made me vomit out the five sips of water I had downed since waking. That's right, not only am I nauseas and vomiting, I also can't be comforted by my husband because the smell of him makes me want to barf. Hell, even the smell of
myself makes me want to barf! (just to clarify - this is after we've both taken showers).
So, still feeling sorry for myself, I called my mother (don't worry, the time in SA was around 8am) to cry and also to complain about the crappy genetics she handed down to me (guess who else suffered like this during her pregnancies?) And then I told hubby that if he wants more children he may have to consider adopting because I'm not sure I can go through this again. After which I ran back to the bathroom to throw up the slice of apple I thought it was safe to eat after the last vomiting session.
Oh, and as for ginger? I was bloody drinking ginger tea and sucking on a fresh piece of ginger the first time I threw up this weekend!
Okay - I'm done with the rant. Sorry for that. @2kmm, glad you enjoyed the show.@ Stacey - so far I've avoided funny tastes in my mouth (oh please, please let that stay away!). @ Bronz, haven't thought about names yet, maybe after we find out the sex. @ Champers - what a miracle this pregnancy is! Wow
