*dancing and singing* Hello 36 weeks!!!

Hi All, finally hit 36 weeks...sjoe the wait is getting longer the closer the days are getting to November...LOL

Took out a bag of baby clothes I had kept from my other two babies.
I have girl and boy clothes.
Will get those washed and packed nicely.......baby doesn't have cupboard space...eish need to work on that.
Need to finish the cot, get the camp cot washed and clean and all the other gadgets.
Yho, there's hardly any time now...Only 4 weekends till baby and that's if he or she isn't early.

Well, will keep myself busy then

Cheers to all moms and moms to be

Congrats lagarbah. I too am praying for and working towards success.

The working towards success has a lot to do with working on my mindset and trusting God, who made our bodies perfectly to function as perfect systems.

So a lot of the working involves a lot of surrendering.....sounds contradictory doesn't it....working on surrendering
The different relaxation and breathing techniques are helping me to surrender, to allow my body to do what it knows what to do.
Its incredible how this whole journey towards VBAMC is impacting the rest of my life and relationships.....positively of course

I have less than 16 working days left to go till my maternity leave!!!

Can't wait

Congrats lagerbah!!

Can I ask why they did AROM?
Were you managing until that point? (usually moms that have their membranes ruptured end up having an epidural - it make is much more intense, an epidural usually leads to an assisted delivery + episiotomy / tearing)

Just curious.

I had a friend that tore front to back (3rd degree) with her first naturally born baby, she was advised for a c-section for her 2nd and did. Afterwards she said she would tear 100 times over rather than experience another c-section..

HI! ALL the best for your vbac attempt!!!

I had my vbac on the 18th nov 2010:)))) so its possible... was a hard journey and had to have artificial rupture of membranes/ epdural/ episiotomy and vaccuum extraction!!! BUT praise God my little boy was born healthy!!! He will be 1 in november and he is already eating well, walking and blabbing a lot...lol

Oh I can def say healing post vbac is MUCH better than c/s!!!! (My 1st lg was emergency c/s)

Thanks Nerf for the article.
Its so sad that here in SA, medical doctors are still resistant to VBACs.
I think that pregnant moms should make the shift from having Doctors as primary caregivers to having midwives if we are to shift the rate of c-sections.

I have been reading a lot about natural birth and it is plain that women need calm environments and calmer and more patient attendants to successfully have a good birth experience.
In hospital, they need the bed so its like cattle dipping....come in and try and be out as soon as possible.

It has taken me two pregnancies and failed attempts at natural labour to realise this.
Again, this is my opinion and my experience.

Had my antenatal with my midwife today.
She is great.

All is well, she gave me a list of things to prepare for homebirth.
Also asked who I'll have with me for the homebirth.....not decided yet and yes I am thinking of not having DH there either. At the moment, it'll just be her and her assistant, will see.

Gave her some of my homemade almond milk hehehe.... ;)
The one non-dairy milk I've tasted that resembles cow milk.

Anyhow, next appointment on the 18th and we're getting closer to baby!!

Just need to get some quiet now, kids couldn't go to gran's in PE but am thinking taking them to my mom's for just this week.
They open schools next week so it'll be back to crazy.

Had a very touching call from DH this morning, brought tears to my eyes......
I know we fight about his being away from home a lot but I still love him and when he wants to, he can really be too sweet.....

Ciao
