klk, I share your fears about ectopic pregnancy & I'm trying to get all these negative thoughts out of my head. I didn't worry about that with my 1st pregnancy but because I have endometriosis, it increases the risk a bit more BUT I'm telling myself that I'm gonna have a healthy pregnancy & everything is going to be fine. I just really wanna get to my gynae & see that all is well.....

Rassie, you had a scan on sat right???? How did it go?

AFM, woke up this morning with some pains in my lower abdomen & lower right side....it varies between light burning, cramping & faint pain. It does have me a bit worried but it might just be the uterus stretching????
It also feels like I'm getting flu or something & I don't wanna get sick now..........So ladies, I'm not a happy camper this morning. The pain is on & off!!!

Crikey BoomBoom that is absolutely shocking! I cannot handle rude receptionists. Hope you come right with a doctor.

I have my first scan next Wednesday the 25th, will be just over 6 weeks. Im glad as most gynaes make you wait until atleast 8 weeks. I just want to make sure that everything is in place and there is a little bean with a heartbeat. I so scared for an ectopic.

Symptoms : Tired but nothing too hectic. Some days are worse than others. Nausea comes and goes but also nothing too hectic. Bloated. Slight cramps - comes and goes. Boobs are slightly tender (that has definitely eased up)

Isha - Oh yes I did email the Maternity Home in Rondebosch, its Al-Nisa so I am awaiting there response!

See from wanting to wait till 13 weeks now they want me to wait till 22 weeks, I doubt I am going to be able to wait till then.

BB, I hate it when receptionists are like that. She clearly doesn't know anything about phone ethics
It is difficult when you are on those types of plans cause you are limited with everything. I don't know docs in Cape area but from what the ladies have said, it sounds like Dr Pandie isn't a bad option. I really do hope you come right.

One of my friends went to Dr Kathan till 20 weeks and then to Dr Gaetner in Town for the remainder of her pregnancy. She is also on a network option.

I just checked my medical aid statement now. It was R465.10 for the scan with the GP at Dr Kathan rooms. And that is coming from my GP visits.

i can choose from Gatesville - too many bad stories there so not really keen to go there

The others are Milnerton, Bellville and Durbanville too far for me!

What is the rates of that doctor in Klip Road in grassy park?I just wanna know if its a girl or boy and if everything is ok.

Ms_S, i love faking being tired too. But usually i am very tired. I can fall asleep any where right now.

WOW BoomBoom, she was rude. You should of told her that you didnt ask for that kind of response. AAAAGH some gynae receptionist really irritate me. Especially when they pretend to doctors.

Coincidently, one of my colleagues was telling me about Dr Pandie this morning. His sister gave birth last week. And he was saying that his sister raves about her gynae.

I think there is a maternity home in Rondebosch if i remember correctly. What are the other hospitals you can choose from?
