Hi ladies
i will be at linkswood hospital in edenvale.
medical aid is Gems.
in the Gems bag there was all the goodies i didnt expect.
x 1 baby grow, 5 nappies, baby toiletry baby poweder,aquas,etc,surgical spirit, maternity pads, fleece, breast pads, nipple cream,bum cream, oh and cotton

i am well prepared now, just need to add a little of this and that and i am ready to go.


HELPPPPPPPPP my clothes dont fit anymore. should i still shop for a few?????

Hi Ladies!

Thanks for all the congrats and good wishes! Things are going very well, getting discharged tomorrow! Little Isla is a tiny bit jaundiced, and since she's not over 3 kg, the pediatrician put her under lights for a couple hours tonight. But apart from that, things are great. She sleeps a LOT, and only wakes up to drink and sometimes looks around a bit. Her eyes are VIOLET! but probably won't stay that way (I wish though!)

Breastfeeeding going well so far, but I don't think I have milk yet, just colostrum. I've been drinking the jungle juice daily, so we'll see... But she seems to be latching well, I think, no sore nipples yet!

Hubby's been with me everyday, he also goes home at night, and gets some sleep. He's changed most of her dirty diapers and gave her a bath today So cute, he's smitten!

Can't wait for her to get back to my room after the lights, I miss her when she's not with me

Punchysmum which hospital will you be using, it sounds great. which medical aid do you use and what goddies were in the bag?

I am feeling so uncomfortable, it is starting to itch like a thrush now, baby is kicking so hard like he is telling me to go to the Doc. I think i will call his office tomorrow and see if they cant squeeze me in tomorrow afternoon instead of going next week friday afternoon.

i just want to brag a little.
i got my suprise bag from the medical aid just now with all the goodies inside
i phoned the hospital to find out how lodger fee works and got all the information i required
they advised me that dad can stay over till 10pm and come back the following day at 5am if he wants to
so i shouldnt worry much for he can stay with me and baba until 10pm. heeeeepi i am so excited and cant wait for the day

so i am no longer going to worry about the R1000 they want
till 10pm is ok for me

thank you momtoc i will try out the lubricant and see how i feel cause now i am so uncomfortable, it jus bad.

Punchy, my libido is also a bit low @ the moment but I think it's because I'm so tired & uncomfortable hahahaha

mosaneo, I know vaginal dryness is normal during pregnancy & some women experience it in their 3rd trimester. It will be sore due to the dryness.
Thrush will have the following symptoms (u might experience all of the symtoms or only 1 or 2):

•the discharge becomes thick, white and creamy, like cottage cheese
•you have itching, soreness or redness in or around your vagina or your bottom
•it hurts when you have sex
•it hurts when you pass urine

Your discharge is a dead give away of what's happening.

Maybe just get some lubricant to keep you moist down there & see if it helps a bit!

Momtoc my member is very dry and sore, have not had any discharge, even sore when i walk.
