since the gyni doesnt test my urine i decided to not even do it hubby to avoid any infections that may arise.
but apart from that i just dont have the feeling to it since i got preg.

clueless please update us so that we i just become more jealous

I will have to start slowing down but unfortunately I just have way too much to do this week.
I hope your not getting an infection down there. I'm a pro with infection down there as I've been suffering from it since 2nd tri but luckily it seems like it's gone now.... If you want to, you can give me your symptoms on the thread or send me an email if you still have it or a message on here & I can maybe help you.........I'm no doctor but I do know the symptoms of thrush very well & also if it's a bacterial one

Punchy, I still can't believe that your gynae isn't doing all those checks. When I go for my check up, the sister immediately test my urine for protein, sugar & so on. Takes my bp & also weighs me. My gynae does a scan & always measures the weight, length etc, checks the heartrate, how he is lying etc..... He check the bloodflow to baby with my last scan.

Magz, yes, you are already in the weekly check ups now Luckily my gynae also just charges for consultation & monday's check up was the 1st in months that he charged me R1000 for scan & consultation cause he printed the pics for me. I'm ok with that cause I know the last few check ups will only be R400 again.

Momtoc your sis will loose alot of weight, no food for so long, shame man and srry about the infection, i hope she gets better. Punchysmum is right you need to rest, my back was also very sore over the weekend, even making it hard for me to walk and i am not even as busy as you so it must be the too much up and down.

Magz you are lucky, mine also only does the scan and BP but i still like him cause i am very comfortable with him, i think i will ask him why he doesnt do the urine test at the next appointment. I pay R400 and the fact that i will be doing weekly visits just broke me when i think about it. i woke up feeling very uncomfortable down there, i dnt knw if i am developing a thrush or what, i hope i dnt have an infection.

Ms_S you are also leaving us now, damn man, i am still counting 5 weeks ,

i just cant wait for her to deliver my bby and get rid of her. i will never recommend anyone to see her. she doesnt charge much though only R275 so i guess i should be complaining much.

the pain might be from your ups and downs, your really need to take it easy now. Relax,put your legs up and just be lazy for a change.

I had my last scan on monday afternoon. I go for weekly checkups now where he checks baba's position, amniotic fluid, my BP and urine etc... Thankfuly he only charges for a consult and not the scan as it can get costly going every week!

Im so sorry about your sister. It really must be a difficult time for you and your family. Hopefully the infection clears up soon. *hug*

Clueless, thanks for sharing your experience! You've really put my mind at ease, because I'm seriously considering having a c-sec now. My dh really wants to be there for the birth, and that just won't happen if I go the natural route. I'll only be seeing my gynae in cape town the 12th november, I'll decide then what to do. Let us know how its going now.

AFM, have my last appointment with my doctor in limpopo tomorrow! Can't wait, I have a feeling that this baby will be over 2kgs by now. I've also decided to take my maternity leave a week earlier, I'll just ask the doctor to book me off. So next Friday will be my last working day I'll spend a week in Jo'burg before making the long trek down to the cape.

Clueless, I'm so pleased to hear that everything went well & yes, a c-sec is not always as bad as it seems. I basically had 2 c-secs(1 when I had my lg & 2nd one when I went in for my endometriosis & gynae had to open my tubes down there) So I think I'm ready for whatever birthroute I have to go!
How are you finding the breastfeeding?

babyzee, nice to hear that the scan went well & baby is doing well & picking up nicely.
I'm experiencing the same thing with my left leg that goes numb during the night. It doesn't happen every night & I'm not sure if it's because I have to sleep on my left side throughout the night

mosaneo, we can't see the pics. I'm glad baby was nice & active though. Don't stress too much about the umbilical cord. Babies like playing with it If it was wrapped around the neck............well, that would've been a different story

Magz, How are you doing? When is your next scan?

AFM, I had massive middle backpain late yesterday afternoon. It lasted for about 4 hours!!!!!! I don't know what happened there but man was it sore. My sister is doing ok. She is still not allowed to eat anything so it's going for 6 days without food now. She is going to lose so much weight. She got a fever yesterday due to an infection somewhere. Not sure where the infection is coming from though but hopefully she's feeling much better today.
