Hi Ladies

I'm sitting on my hospital bed with little Isla on my lap. Everything is great
So, a little more detail about yesterday...

Like I said, dr sent me home to go pack my bag and come back, c-sec was scheduled at 13:00. We rushed home, luckily most of my and baby's stuff was packed already. Got back to hospital just before 11, and I went straight to maternity ward while hubby got paperwork done. Then came the wait...seemed like an eternity! They brought scrubs for hubby and we met the anesthesiologist, and went into theater. I won't lie, it was VERY scary for me. The anesthetist explained the spinal to me, gave me a local anesthetic, and then administered the spinal. All I felt was the pinch for the local anesthetic, and the cold alcohol swabs. No big deal at all! Then my feet went numb and I put my legs up. At this stage my BP dropped quite severely, and I did have a couple of very dizzy and, for me, scary moments, but he immediately added something to the drip and it soon passed. That was the only out of controland scary moment for me.

Wohoo our first baby Congrats Clueless i am so jealous. She is so Gorgeous. Once you are rested and have a min please let us know how its going.

I went to my app on Friday baby is growing nicely weights 1.8kgs he is also head down but posteria docs says that would explain my back aches.

Man i am so exhausted i cannot even eat a full meal anymore everything is tight. I keep having nightmare. And my left leg goes numb at night i keep waking up.

There goes my pity party.

Mandri, sigh.........I know what you mean. I had major sugar cravings throughout this pregnancy. Luckily, I don't use sugar in my hot drinks or when I have cereal. I use those sachets from dischem - they are like canderel but doesn't contain that aspartame that's so bad for you & I also avoid white bread!

Momtoc sometimes i also cant walk and my tummy gets tight, presses on my bladder and at tims i get sharp pains down in my tummy. its hectic. Your lg is an artist in the making, very nice pic, i am impressed that she can draw so good at her age, my son is not yet there.

Clueless - a huge congratulations!!! I can't open the pic but I'm sure she is so beautiful! You also have me super jealous over here!

momtoc - how will we leave out all the sweet stuff (sitting here stuffing my face with jolly jammers...). Jayden is so cute man! We don't have long to go anymore!

Punchy - R600 isn't too bad hey, and I would also say go for it. Its one of those things that you need to do (how I feel in any case), pregnancy is such a special time and so short, take pics to capture the special time. I'm doing pics on Friday, paying R850 for 20 edited printed pics and 20 on CD I think.

mosaneo, haven't experienced the gas when baby moves but man does it get heavy down there when I walk. My stomach even goes hard, where it feels like I've swallowed a soccer ball!

I think I'm also gaining weight because of the fruit juice I drink & cold drink but it's so damn hot & I get very thirsty throughout the day & in the very very early morning. I do drink water - not the way I should though & then I like my orange juice, I drink sprite & I love kola tonic & lemonade but my problem throughout this pregnancy was the chocolates & biscuits

My boy is chilling head down, every now and then i feel like he will drop out cause he just presses me down there and my vijay also feels heavy and like alot of pressure is being put on it. Do you babies also give you gas sometimes when they move around?

I do not really eat alot, just 3 meals a day with a fruit or nik naks as a snack. this baby is not really a big fan of food but i have gained quiet alot and when i last went for my scan he was 1.6kg and i was 70 which freaked me out coz i was praying not to get to 80kg. i think for me the juice and cold drink i have all the time is whats making me gain weight coz of all the sugar.
