Momtoc & Marijke: Thanks for the input on the 4D scan, appreciate it. :)

Ms_S: Yes i rate baby kicking as the best as well, it is so cool and it also reassures me that she is okay. I can't believe how super fast she moves, sometimes it feels like a little tornado in my tummy. There are times when i feel her kicking and what i assume as punching with her hands, cause i feel hitting/kicking on both sides of my tummy at the same time!
I love watching my tummy move..so cool and weird at the same time :silly:
Hubby says i should give baby a break cause every evening i am either looking at my tummy for movement or gently prodding to get her to kick...he thinks I am traumatising her.

Hope i'm not..

Marijke, you will definitely not bore me. I love info on different things.
Like Ms_S said, home schooling is not for me, just purely on the fact that I don't have that type of patience & would never wanna go into teaching lol!! I really do take my hat off to you.

Ms_S, shame, how did you survive on tihgts & light tops? :-)
I would also just prefer to move into a place that we feel comfortable in but we just can't. Hubby is hoping to get a new job soon that will pay more & then we can maybe look into it.............ai, tough times I tell you!

mosaneo, oh no man. Maybe you just picked up a bug or something??? I hope you feel better soon (hugs)

Mandri, you are in a difficult situation. It does make sense that you want to do everything at once when you are there as the travelling is a bit much. What area do you stay??

Chantal, Marijke took the words right out of my mouth.... That is the thing with 4D scans, you never know what you gonna get, how baby is positioned, especially if the placenta is in the way & they also need alot of fluid around baby for a nice pic. The umbilical cord was over my little boy's mouth - nothing to be concerned about cause it does float infront of them & that is also why she wiggled over my tummy so that he can move a bit for it to get out of his face

Chantal, it depends on how the baby is positioned. Mostly the 3/4d scans are 'head shots' so if baby is in any way not co-operating they try their best to get baby to move which could mean loads of poking and prodding. I had one at an expo not too long ago and baby was using the placenta as a pillow so you couldn't see the face no matter how hard the lady tried but I didn't mind because I just wanted to know that everything was okay seeing as I was between gyneas at that stage and hadn't been to a doctor in 6 or 7 weeks.

Pale, I'd love to give you more info but don't want to bore anyone so let me know where I can get hold of you then I'll send you more info

Afternoon ladies

I was in Joburg for the winter weather..and all I had packed was tights and light tops. Its so much warmer today in Limpopo!

Marijke, I had to look up tot school, because I've never heard of it before. I only skimmed through the website, but bookmarked it for later on. I'll look at it more closely when the time is right. Home schooling is something I never considered, and its not something I would do either! It requires a lot of patience, something which I do not have  I think the parent has to be in the right frame of mind as well, to keep the little one on track. What you doing is really commendable, I wish you and B the best of luck!

Clueless, it was so nice to come home lunch time and just sit on the couch..I didn't have anyone to consider when changing the tv channel :P No, its not cowardly at all to want the last month to stretch a little longer.

Momtoc, good luck with the house cleansing, although right now it just sounds easier to move again! I hope the solution comes soon, then both you and your lg can relax a little. Your 4d scans are too cute! The detail is really amazing. Soon you will be looking into that smiling face for real

Chantle, the kicking is probably the best part for me. I can't believe how much they move. Sometimes it feels as if the baby is dancing or something, cos the movements are so random.

Mandri, enjoy the getaway! It will be your last one for a while I think? I understand how difficult it is trying to squeeze everything on the weekends when you in the city. I never manage to get anything done.

Mosaneo, I actually got sick this morning. But I think its because of the Hi Fibre Bran that I ate...it always made me sick in the early months. I thought I would try it again, but it seems the baby doesn't like cereal. I hope you get better, cos morning sickness is one thing I will not miss of pregnancy! I'm not so sure about the runny tummy...could it just be gastro? Maybe you should see a gp.

Your little bean looks so cute and big. the pics are really nice.

Clueless i wish i was you.

Marijke Its actually a hard and tough world out there, creche, school hai no. our kids are facing a hard times and the sad part is that things are getting worse as time goes.

momtoc - next week Friday. Thing is I need to do everything I want when we go for the scans in Pretoria, can't drive up and down again in the middle. Ag I really don't know hey. Will see how I feel over the weekend, maybe I will postpone it till 32 weeks, but then again we can't stay too long in the city as its my baby shower that weekend. Lol, stupid things are feeling like a huge issue to me!

Thank you very much girls. I'm very happy with the 4D scans, even though he was sleeping right through.

Mandri, I'll be 31 1/2 weeks when I do my 1st maternity shoot & then 32 1/2 weeks with my 2nd one. I also don't want to be too big for the shoots but according to the girl doing my 2nd shoot, it's best to go for a shoot between 32 & 36 weeks.
When are you going for your maternity shoot?

Chantal, I just love it when they get a good kick in the head hahahaha. The one day my lg put her head on my tummy & she smiled & said she could hear the heartbeat :-)
I had my 4D done & 4D Ultrasound Scan close to Northgate. Her name is Tanya Reynolds. Very pleased with her & she explains everything so nicely & she checks everything - the heartbeat, the kidneys, the lungs, the tummy, heart chambers, brain etc.
She didn't hurt me at all, even when she wiggled the transducer over my tummy to get him awake.
