I've not been receiving any notifications of new posts since last week

figured I'd pop into the forum and saw there were a bunch of posts in the meantime.
@STK - a friend who's due mid Dec caught her baby on camera curling her toes behind her stomach - which almost made her hurl during her scan

maybe that's what he's doing?
@BabyT - A name I really love but can't use for personal reasons is 'Lilly'. Will admit I thought of beautiful people (looks and personality-wise) I've known growing up and that's how I came on our name of Mia. My husband kept coming up with names that I'd known as dogs... or not-so-nice people. We basically decided to go with something that's easy to say in English and Afrikaans (people are forever getting both our names wrong or struggle to pronounce them), and then something that can't be messed with (too much), or will inevitably be shortened. Another name I liked was Amelia. You are welcome to use Mia too if you like it
I've been home for a couple weeks now - resigned at my office job which had become waaay too stressful and going to focus on brushing up on my creative skills - for which I have a degree but have never used

. I'm seriously missing the office aircon! We're waiting on a quote to have one installed in the home office at least. Got a quote for the living/dining room which is unfortunately a big open space, but at R20,000.00 my husband looked at me and asked if we couldn't buy a few fans. I'll settle for one room in the house being cool - even if it means I need to sleep in here!
I'm in the very fortunate position where my husband's salary is way more than mine and he also works from home now, so by selling my car (don't think we'll need 2 cars) and cutting down on both our travel costs, car insurance and running an office from home with tax deductibles - including my 'salary' as his admin assistant, we will manage. I'm hoping to get my own small company running from home after taking a few months off when baby comes.
I've been having insane headaches and neck/back pain and my ears are permanently blocked. My gynea has prescribed a nose spray for sinusitis, which I'm not too happy to take, but these headaches are becoming debilitating, and he also suggested I see a physio and maybe go for some acupuncture. I've started dreading bedtime. I just can't sleep comfortably, no matter how many pillows I wedge everywhere, and I'm in more pain in the mornings when I wake than when I went to bed in the evening. Anyone have any tips?
@BabyT, we're starting our classes towards the end of the month and I can't wait

I've read how to do just about everything, but I'm sure the classes will be a fun thing for the two of us to do together - hubby means to read the books but doesn't get round to it, and think something practical will sink in a little better too

We've had a couple people tell us it's a waste of money (they didn't even go to classes so how would they know!!!), and they can just shove it.
We bought a few awesome things at the Mamamagic Expo - one of which was a cot. We also got 12 cloth nappies (10 x Bam+Boo AIOs and 2 x Fancypants sleeve nappies). We only meant to buy about 4 nappies for now, but the Bam+Boo special was too good to pass-up. I'm probably going to use disposables for the first month or so, but hoping to use cloth thereafter and disposables only when going out and at night. And since I'll be home I should be able to manage the washing in-between my own work

We will have to wait and see how that goes!
Oh and last bit! Went for a scan yesterday and baby is doing very well

apparently she's a week ahead with her growth and already weighs about 1kg... I'm putting it down to us both being tall. But also cutting down on my sugar intake.
Sorry for the essay

here's something for a chuckle...
