How and when did you ladies get your BFP and what symptoms do you have?

I took the test and put it on the kitchen counter while making tea, waited 3 minutes and looked and started crying and shacking. I did't believe it so when to buy another one and a Clearblue Digital. Then went for a bloodtest to confirm

I have had a pulling sensation under my navel and some cramps on my left side since I got my BFP. I am also so tired, hungry all the time, sore bb's and had a terrible cold the weekend. Also funny enough I can't pull my tummy in and feels full.

I am 5 weeks on Wednesday

* TTC baby #1 for 1.5 years

@ CDLK, you are one week ahead of me and I am paranoid too. I can't wait to hear the heartbeat and get the all clear at 8 weeks. How long have you been ttc?

@ Trish, hi, I am also new here. How has your journey to your BFP been?

@ Blou, what a beautiful scan, are you 8weeks? I know how your are feeling as we are dying to tell our family. I just told my mom and sister as we are very close and going to tell the rest of the family at 12 weeks. Boy its going to drag, I know :)

@ Ninies, how was your weekend, is your tummy a bit better?

@ Gib, sorry to hear about your chemical  , I have absolutely no experience when to go for scans, but thinking maybe 7 weeks is fine as some of the ladies here have gone sooner.

AFM, just some background to the the ladies that didnt come from TTC 2016. We have been ttc for 1 1/2 years and this will be our first. I was on Fertomid 50mg for 4 months as I was not ovulating or having poor ovulation. I asked my Gynae to give me one cycle of 100mg which was last month and he said if it didn't work then he would referr me to a Fertility Specialist. Well I did ovulate but no BFP so made an appointment with the FS for 10th September.

This was our un medicated cycle and bam our BFP at 9DPO  :woohoo:
Still seems so unreal as we have waited so long, but so very happy.

Hello everyone! I am new here, and have a beautiful 3 year old boy and am pregnant again - due at the end of April/beg of May 2016. A little nervous after a chemical pregnancy a few months ago, but things are looking better this time. Hopefully seeing the doc next week sometime (I will be 7 weeks then - is this too soon?).

Hi ladies!

Welcome to all the new BFP's and congrats to each of you!

@Ninies - I've been ok with symptoms so far. I never used to get ms with my son although with this little one I tend to feel queezie, sometimes nauseas but I haven't had full blown ms. My skin appears to have broken out a bit and I'm tired and sore boobs offcourse. But I will take anything this pregnancy throws at me as long as baba is healthy and that little heart keeps beating.

I went for my scan on Saturday, I am a little earlier than what we thought. I am only 5w6d (6w today) but amazingly we heard a heart beat!! Still slow at 97bpm but sonographer said it is expected as the little heart probably just started beating. Now the next scan is on 16 Sep, will be almost 8 weeks then. It is strange with my first pregnancy you had that milestone if getting past 12w then you feel safe and that all is ok. With this pregnancy I just want to get past the 9w mark ( that's when we lost baby in March)!

Strangely enough I've actually lost a bit of weight now (remembered it was same with my son during first trimester). With my son I lost about 3kg in first tri and then oh boy, I started picking up!! I picked up 20kg. Going to try hard not to completely let myself go again and watch what I eat! Will try and be as healthy as possible with lots of fresh fruits and veggies.

@ Ninies,

I must just add that your BFP is also such a blessing especially after they said that there was little chance. Just shows you that doctors don't know everything.

We have been ttc for exactly 1 1/2 years. I am going to try and wait till 8 weeks as if for some reason we can't hear the heartbeat earlier than that I will totally freak out, even if all is well. I also eat and then hungry again, very weird but I am craving grated cheese and really have to hold myself back. I have read that constipation is not the fun part of pregnancy, drinking lots of water helps but maybe not by much.

When I was on Fertomid the Gynae said my fertile window would be from CD13 to CD18 but I would ovulate on CD14/15. He said that starting to bd too soon like from CD10 is a waste. We used to bd from CD10 or CD11 and then stop at CD16 as my temp would rise. This cycle we had no clue as to when I would ovulate so we started bd'ing from CD8 till CD18.

My hubby and I have spoken about this before as we are not sure if it was the Conceive Plus or that we actually got our timing spot on and I actually ovulated after we actually thought. I do think that Conceive Plus helped the swimmers journey.

Wow its awesome that we got our BFP a cycle apart and not on Fertomid ;)
