@jaybee - yeah it is nice to have a due date hun. So glad you have one. How long has your Ttc journey been?

As soon as I learned I was pg, I went to see my gynae. With our first baby he even did a pap smear on our first visit and then he did an intravaginal sonar to establish that baby is in uterus and not ectopic. Obviously 5 weeks is a bit early for the heartbeat so he then lets me come back in about 2 weeks to confirm the heartbeat. My next appt is only at 12 weeks now. He is happy that it is in the right place and it is alive! Because I am turning 36 in December and have been struggling to conceive this time he sees me as a higher risk. So If you can, try and get to the gynae for a scan. If you want and can wait I think you will hear the heartbeat at 7 weeks.

My mother in law has an ulcer and now she has problems with her ulcer since eating banting with us. My hubby was also telling me about a fishing friend of his' wife that is in hospital with kidney failure from banting. I dont think it is bad for us, but I must say I cant stand fatty foods right now. I am nauseas but not that bad that I want to throw up. I also started eating fruit since being pregnant and a granola type muesli with yoghurt in the morning. But its not long then I am hungry again. I will try to stick to it about 60% but fruit is important. I also struggle with constipation and when pregnant it is way worse.

Do you think your bfp was also because of the conceive plus?

@ Ninie so unreal to have a due date, thank you, remarkable is a good word I thought that one was only supposed to go for a scan at 8w. I see you went just after 5w? I would also like to do that as to set my mind at ease. Do all Gynae's do a 5w scan?

I have had tender bb's and pulling sensation since I got my BFP. Also very tired and sleep minimum of 9 hours per night. Have dry skin and really loving water which totally unusual for me.

Do you think I can still follow the Banting diet but add in fruit and some hi fibre bran flakes every second morning?

Hi Jaybee - of course you can join us. Would love to have you around hun. Yours is the one bfp that was remarkable for me.

Hey Ladies

I'm new to the forum. Also due May 2016 but baby will be by c-section so he/she will most likely have to come end of April. Have a bit of a pelvic problem you see so we will have to wait and see if I can bake him/her a bit longer.

Going for bloods next week only and then we'll make an appointment with obgyn.

Dont be paranoid and remember to try to stay calm. I am sure everything will just be peachy at the scan tomorrow and I am holding thumbs that you will hear and see the little .

I am kind of nauseaus. And hungry all the time and dont know what I am craving because I cant decide. I have heart burn aswell and head aches. I never had any symptoms (except dizzy and fatigue) with my son. My doctor said this week that as long as a woman has some symptoms in the first trimester it is a very good sign. And that he gets worried when they tell him they dont have any symptoms.
Oh yea and the nips are extremely sore....

What about you? Any symptoms?

How are you all doing in the symptoms? Seems like we are bunch af Afrikaans girls, also Afrikaans

So I have been driving myself insane this side although I said I will not do it... My progesterone and HCG levels were all good and more than doubled nicely. My first scan is at 8weeks on 16 Sep, however after our mc in March I feel kind of paranoid. So decided to book an early scan tomorrow (I'm just over 6 weeks). Nervous and really praying hard that all will be well. Hopefully we'll be able to see the heartbeart (maybe even hear!).
