I am still hanging in there, no signs of labor yet

Hallo ladies

I am officially a mommy of two boys

Luke was born on 12 April and he weighed 3.85kg's and was 53cm's. He is such a blessing and I am totally in love.

I was discharged from hospital yesterday. The c-section went ok but it still stays damn sore...

We are adjusting good at home. I told my MIL that my biggest challenge is my 4 year old son. He some times acts like a baby himself and I can see the adjustment is big for him too. I am so glad he will be at school during the day so that I can get some rest.

The breastfeeding is also going well. My doctor prescribed erglenol -sorry for spelling, to help with milk production and it really works. It is also a mild anti depressant so I should not have any baby blues. I do miss him inside of me though.

@Blou, glad you are patient and can still carry on. Alot of women are sooo tired by the end. Hang in there. Baba will come at the right time. Atlst you are maintaining the activity. Enjoy the BD- if it's possible to. LOL

There's a store called Bras'n Things at Clearwater(JHB) that i saw pretty feeding bras in my original 34DD. Didn't get measured or fit so I might not fit in it anyways. but the price was something: R600 each!!! My problem with Woolies was limited sizes but maybe i should look at more branches.

Today is my last day at work!!! Yay! Gona go wait for a month. LOL. I have school work to occupy me though i'm sure it will be the last thing i wana do. I have my nude photoshoot and babyshower on Sat and i suspect a group of friends is tryna surprise me on Sunday. will see if they are at the main one on Sat- if not, then definitely on Sunday for them. hehehe.

Hope my home internet can cope with me being there all day. LOL. I must behave and not max it prematurely.

Hi all, I saw "feeding bra's" and I couldn't help but throw in my 2 cents!
I got the most affordable and great bras at Woolworths!
I know Tygervalley has a little section, canal walk too, maybe Cape gate.

They were R160 for 2 of those soft, normal bra-style - they have the drop down clip things on each side. I've worn mine for 2 years (breastfed for 2 years) - and I still wear them now with those washable breastpads, because they are really comfy.
You also get the padded ones - i used them for "fancy outings" - those were about R180 for 2
I went to check them out at the end of last year and they are now around R180-220?? But still much more affordable than the Carriwell brand and they last forever.

@ Maj, I also breath differently and snore and sometimes even give a little grunt and wake myself up
Good idea to keep the Gavison close!

@ MamaK, I bought some Carriwell ones and ready love them but try a few brands on and see which you like

@ Blou, seems like you have tried the natural induction methods and baby is still happy been on the inside. I in general eat spicy foods so that wouldnt help me either. Both my sister and I were 10 days late so have a slight feeling that my baby might just be late too. Hang in there, relax and enjoy the last few precious moments alone.

AFM, on Tuesday night I had the most terrible cramps and it woke me up with shock. I had to walk around the house and move my boep around a bit. Not sure if it was gas or an upset tummy. Then on Wednesday my boepie was still rock hard and sore but not really cramping and today its all back to normal. Now and again I have some sharp quick cramps between my legs and I am not wondering if the cramping and cramps was baby engaging? As my tummy does look a bit lower but not 100% sure. Doc said last week that baby is down but not engaged so I am so confused now

@MamaK, this morn i was also wondering about feeding bras! I think I used a triumph one with my first, but I need to go and buy some this weekend. I wasted money on maternity bras! bought the "stretchy" fabric which did nothing for me! I just use them to sleep in now!

@sonsbaby, hopefully the meetings wont be intensive, and rather you giving actions to everyone else

@Blou, i hope they give you time (even if you reach 42 weeks) if your levels are all ok. Labour will start when you least expect it to!! Its good that you sound so calm about it!

AFM, they called from the dr's office to give me an update. they need to send more info to the med aid, and apparently the med aid takes about 2 working days so they scheduling it for next wed just to give the med aid extra time. its not super urgent to get the drip, its more a preventative measure for the birth.
The hips a bit better today, I used a bigger pillow between my legs.
The heartburn is getting worse though. I woke at like 12am last night, luckily the gaviscon was on my bedside table! I took one of those chews and must have fallen asleep so quickly! When I woke again at 5:30ish, i still had the chew tablet in my mouth

@Blou i am crossing fingers for you, lets hope tonite you will go in labour...
