Hi Ladies,
@JayBee, app is at 15:00 on Tues. Yours? Crossing fingers that the coccyx has healed well.
Definitely sounds like you are loosing your plug. My first, something similar happened, and then 1 day a big blob (a bit pinkish) came out!
However it can grow back, and means labour could be anywhere between 2 days and 2 weeks!!

at least its some indication that you are getting closer!
@Blou, lotsa hugs to you, we all know exactly what you are feeling right now!
Any luck with the natural induction techniques? (Are you considering the castor oil?)
@CDLK, good luck for tommorrow- just be confident it will go well.
my daughter is having days where she is clingy, and other days she is a "Handy Helper".
I think we have all prepped them sufficiently, but we will still have that adjustment phase.
Its frustrating that most magazines and articles are aimed at new mums, and not 2nd time around mums, and how to deal with the older child, etc etc.
Are you doing the "gift from the baby" thing? I am, but she changes her ideas on a daily basis, that Im unsure what to get her. I want it to be something special though!
@MamaK, I cant wait for my mum to come as well. I love how you describe her as "added some sunshine to my days". It is so apt!!
@Sonsbaby, I can totally understand you being upset. I would too. There's no reason to be on your back from 5cm, and use a bedpan!! perhaps it was that sister, and the other ones are not so strict about the 5cm! did she not give any reason why?!
It baffles me that you are told not to lie on your back when you are sleeping during your pregnancy, but at birth, you must lie back!
If you can manage at home till longer, i recommend you do. I think its 3 contractions in 5 mins (what I can remember from Hypnobirthing classes), then you can leave, especially if the hospital is not too far! (i might be getting this completely wrong though, so anyone else who has done hypnobirthing, what was recommended?)
The drip went well yesterday. I had to be admitted to hospital for the day, at least I spent it in the maternity ward. Gosh it was terribly boring though! I got there at 8am, and left at 15:30!!!

The hips are still sore! the physio advised I keep my weight of them and dont walk around too much!!

really?!!
At the hospital, they also monitored the babies heartbeat for 20 mins when I got there. Are they going to monitor the baby for 20 mins when i get admitted for labour!?! I definitely do not plan on being there that early!!
But baby's heartbeat set off the machine a couple of times! not for being low! It would start racing, and alot of activity, and then calm down to a normal rate, and then be ok for a few mins and start picking up again! The sister didn't seem to think anything of it though. I guess I should ask the dr about it at my next app.
