Oh yes! @licious, you lucky fish to be buttoning jeans! i had to abandon pants a while ago. preggy pants were swiftly acquired but now the extra fabric band falls down alot- guess my bigger bump isn't working for them.

I'm still prepping baby and my hospital bags. lol. talk about slow. we are 38 weeks and 2 days. Went to Durban for a family babymoon. i really wanted some beach time. What a lovely weekend we had. So glad we did it.

I need to push my school work and get it out of the way. but all these preps are such a lovely distraction. We haven't bought a car seat yet. a friend suggested we hold on for discounted prices at baby expo in a few weeks and she can lend us one til then, so we'll take that up. i'm due a week before the expo so hubby will go.

aaaaah! i had typed a long response then my connection went with it. i could scream!!!

@sonsbaby, so sorry about the gynae's feedback. I'm sceptical of gynaes coz i find they carry bad news near the end. Maybe not their fault but it contributes to my distrust/mistrust of them. Can a head really be too big for the flexible stretchable vagina? is she scared you'll tear or...? Anyways, I hope you learn to accept the path your pregnancy has taken peacefully and embrace the op as a means to an end, which is meeting your beautiful healthy baby. It doesn't make you any less authentic of a miracle carrier and mother.

@sonsbaby, I am so sorry!! I have not had a c-sec, but can only imagine how I would feel if I where in your situation.
My suggestion, go sit in the baby's room, and just imagine that by this time tomorrow you will have your beautiful sweet baby in your arms!
It doesn't matter whether they baby is born naturally or via c-sec so long as the baby is healthy, and not in harms way.

At your last app did your gynea not say she was going to be away? And was baby's head ok at the last app? And the cord?

I hope everything turns out ok tomorrow. Keep your faith up and just focus on the baby.

Hi Ladies!

I had the worst past few days! First found out my gynea is on leave now till 5 May so yet again I was without a dr. I phoned the stand in dr and got a appointment for today lucky so I can at least meet her and that she can have a final look at baby! Well got some bad news from her when I went to my appointment! Baby has not fully lowered enough and his head is getting too big for me to birth naturally! And to top it all off the cord wrapped fully around his neck in the past few days! So I am scheduled for a c-section tomorrow! I am in tears the whole day already and I don't know how to get myself out of this dip and get excited! Quite frankly I am petrified of the c-section! Any advice?? What can I do to prepare for tomorrow? I am so unprepared for a c- section it's just not funny!

@Ninies - awww congrats on your beautiful baby boy! I think I have a good chance to join your baby blues boat if I don't get out of this dip I am in now! I am trying to get my mindset in the right place now for the unplanned c-section!

@GRBM - Hope the lump turns out nothing serious and milk related! I am going the online UIF route with the assistance of a lady that used to work at one of those maternity UIF companies! I just hope all will go smoothly!

@ Maj - don't get me started on those PJ's! This years pj selection is terrible! Don't like the styles or the ridiculous prices! I managed to find two pairs that I liked!

@Blou - congrats on your beautiful baby and on your wonderful water birth! So glad you got to experience that! I am super jealous lol! Hope the little one's infection clears up soon!

You asked the other day about hypnobirthing, listen to teh rainbow relaxation as much as you can. I dont think you can overdo it! I unfortunately have become so slack with it! i think I listened once last week and as for perenial massage, i have been too lazy for that too!

@lolabunny, let us now what happens at the app.
I also felt the same way about holding a newborn

AFM, finally sorted the baby clothes. The nanny is washing them today, and I will pack her bag this evening. I haven't started on my bag though still need pj's and possibly a gown (I have a fluffy one but i think its going to be waaay too warm.) Hubby and my daughter complain everytime I want to go to a shopping! so will leave it for wed or next week when I am done with work.
Do you ladies have breastfeeding friendly clothes? besides bra's?

Congrats to all the mommies! These new baby pics are making me so excited for these last 5 weeks to fly. Am finding out tomorrow what the final plans are for birth according to Gyni. I went to visit a friend yesterday who gave birth on Friday and I couldn't remember how to hold a newborn baby my Gyni says she won't be here for the first week of May....and of course all I can think is - murphy's law

@ Blou congrats! What a perfect baby, too cute. Well done on the birth you wanted! What did you do after the walk and up until you went to the birth unit. Your dialation progressed so quickly and I am holding thumbs mine will too

I am not sure who said about the 2x pack feeding/nursing Wollies bra's but I went and bought a pack and they are just so comfortable, really value for money. My cup size has increased by 2x cups, yippee.

AFM, I am so tired today so it's me, the couch and series! Can't wait for the Gynae appointment tomorrow but a bit nervous too.
