So after 3 or 4 weeks of feeling horrible, I woke up today feeling absolutely fine. Weird! If I hadn't seen my little one wriggling around on the scan yesterday I would be very worried.

Morning Ladies

Hope you are all doing fine.

@Gib - What a beautiful pic of your scan. I am so glad that everything is going well.

@JayBee - Glad to hear I'm not the only tired one around. Especially the last few days I feel drained and can sleep for days, but unfortunately I have to work... ;) Some people think that I'm exasperating, but girl I feel like I can fall asleep any time, anywhere!

@BouSonneblom - It must have been awesome to hear your baby's heartbeat and to see him/her move! Can't wait for mine one day soon...

@Ninies - I'm also using Utrogesan at the moment. A little confused at this stage as my Gynecologist told me to continue up till 9 weeks and the FS in Cape Town said that I can stop as it is only prescribed in cases of continuous miscarraige. Now...what to do? So I am still using it and will phone the Gyne on Tuesday to find out. I am tempted to stop as I have a u.t.i. and my gp think it is due to the irritation of the applicator etc. So now I will have to wait patiently.

@Momtobe3 - Really hope that you will be able to sort out the vacation with MSC. FX!

Was wondering of any of you ladies have a specific list of foods to avoid during pregnancy? The internet sites I have visited sometimes give conflicting answers and I'm worried that I eat something and then it's like in super bad!! Hope you all have a splendid weekend!

Hi Mommies-to-be!

I am writing some articles for moomie at the moment about pregnancy (by months). If any of you would help me out I have some questions for you, and would like to feature the answers in the article.

Firstly, I would like to know how far along you are, secondly how you are feeling about everything, then also if you are having any particular cravings, struggling sleeping, nausea or other. I would also like a bump pic.

You can email me at joanieludik@gmail.com

Thanks in advance!

Jay-bee - Please don't worry about it. The rules state that you will be fine, just remember to get a doctors note and inform the cruise line. You will have an awesome time.

Have a great weekend.

@ Mtb3, thanks so much for the info, I will definitely look into it and will email the travel agent right now! No you have me worried. The cruise is from Fri 15th Jan till Sun 17th Jan. I am 9 weeks on Sunday so just recalculated again and when we return on the 17 Jan I will be exactly 23 weeks, gosh I hope it is fine.

@ Gib, I don't have any side effects from the pills at all but like Ninies I will also grin and bear the price just incase.

Jay-Bee - here are the details regarding the cruise:

14.4 Any passenger who is pregnant shall be obliged to inform MSC on making the booking and the ship's Doctor on boarding of the vessel, of that fact. The Cruise Ship does not have on board facilities for childbirth. MSC shall not allow the Passenger on board the Cruise Ship if the Passenger will be at least 24 weeks pregnant by the date on which the Cruise ends.

14.5 If the Passenger will be up to 23 weeks pregnant at the end of the Cruise the Passenger will not be allowed on board the Cruise Ship unless the Passenger provides MSC with a medical certificate from a medical specialist or practitioner confirming that the Passenger is fit to travel on board the Cruise Ship for the duration of the Cruise. Failure to inform the Carrier and the Vessel’s doctor of pregnancy will release the Carrier from any liability to the pregnant Passenger.

Just inform the cruise that you are pregnant and under 24 weeks by the time of the cruise. They can still deny entry, and you don't want that just as you want to board.
