Hi Maj- Yes I do and it's a 4D as well I am so excited I can jump out of my skin heheh. Hopefully today baby will work with us and show it's private parts to the world hehehe. What time are you going? Keep my posted I am excited for you as well.

@MommywannaB Genesis would actually be my first choice to give birth provided I don't have a high risk pregnancy. I've heard lots of good things about it and I feel that their approach is in line with my thoughts around birth.

I do find it sad that the medical aid tries to force you to give birth at a particular clinic. In the end of the day you need to trust the care you will receive and it is your body. Good luck

Hi Ladies,

So I need your help and insights please.

My medical aid is full of nonsense, they now want me to go see a midwife and not my gyneo anymore (they won’t pay the costs and it’s R1300 per visit) I see her every 4 weeks. I will have to pay my labor out of my own pocket and claim back from the medical aid and we all know how they pay.

My options are home birth (hubby is not keen on that) and Genesis Clinic. Does any one know anything about Genesis and how the Dr’s and midwifes are? I am so upset right now. All I want is to have the best experience with my birth and my hubby. I have heard good and bad things about Genesis and home births and Hospital birth.

Please help

@ Pillpusher - Yeah.... managing the heartburn a bit better now, although its not better but I'm getting a little more relieve. Thanks for checking in! Mmm that microbirthing sounds interesting.

@ Maj - I just bought sports-bra's in the beginning cause your boobs really grow rapidly, with the sports-bra you don't have the underwire hurting either and it accommodates for quite a while too. I'm only gonna get proper nursing bras when I'm at the very end of my pregnancy.

@Mommywannab - I am so happy the downs came back negative! Great news!!

Hope you girls are "enjoying" this heat.... OMW, I am boiling!!
