Hey ladies

I see u have been busy today. Welcome back to all strangers.

Today I was so tired I decided to take the whole of next wek off, I really ant take it no more. My back is really killing me, I also wish I didnt to drive.

@Ntoko it wasnt my friends who threw me a shower so I am still not impressed with them. I vow never to orgenise any shower in my life, lesson learnt. The peeps who threw a shower are hubbys ex collegues, we are a group of friends and always throw showers for each other. I am greatful for it though coz I did get gifts and it was nice and intimate.

Ntoko and Meekah pliz post ur pics as soon as u get any I will also post.

Where did Sher and Lira disappear to?
@Mags I wish I had heard about that earlier I would have bought, now I am too lazt to go back.

@BabyKs mom good luck for your dctors appointment, hope u can have natural. Pity i cant

My bags are also packed both baby and me. I just need to get a toilet bag and pack my toiletries. I think I will wash some baby clothes next week as I bought them from the woolies sale.

Hello all!
Glad everything is ok with everyone. Sorry about the sore backs, etc, though.

Wow, Mels, quite an experience - glad he listened to you though! Good boy! I havent even had so much as a Braxton Hicks (I dont think)!

I was reading the thread about Johnson and Johnson vs Elizabeth Anne - quite interesting. Seems like lots of babies are allergic to J & J! It is the product I have the most of, but not enormous amounts, so wont worry about stocking up on that too much. Got a couple of the Woolies naturals range, which seem good but are a bit on the expensive side.

Am watching some DVDs now about birth and labour, etc. and am quite enjoying. I seem to have swung from thinking I would have a c-sec to going vaginal (with epidural asap) to natual delaying the drugs as much as possible. I personally could never imagine why anyone wouldnt have an epi asap, but now I saw that the quicker you have an epidural the greater the risk for complications and having to be cut, etc (all of which we are all obviously trying to avoid!). Oh well, all part of the learning curve, and I suppose we will all see when the time comes!

It sure does feel like spring is in the air - wow, where has winter gone (in CT!).

Dont forget to save yourselves from cooking tonight and get to Ocean Basket for Hake n chips for R10 today! See you there!

xxx

Morning ladies, I hope you all had fabulous weekends! Can you feel Spring is in the air?

I freelance so for the last 2 weeks I have been on maternity leave as 2 projects I was expecting both fell through. Then all of a sudden I've been given a new project for this week so back to the grindstone! But it's great because now I will have a little bit of money for September.

I still need to sort out whether I can claim UIF or not, its been a while since I paid UIF so I'm going to chat to Vanessa from Tums2Mums as some of the ladies in the August thread have used her and been very impressed.

Ah yes, isn't it the most wonderful feeling to pamper ourselves and do our nails and toes. I'm actually doing my finger nails every week these days when normally I don't wear any polish. But now I've had this extra time and DH and I are watching alot of TV/ DVD's etc in the evenings to relax so its easier to do them. :cheer:

I'm going for my 38 week check up on Wed and doc is going to do an internal to check my cervix. Last week Baba, although lying head down, was facing my back instead of to the left or right so I've been doing this forward inversion exercise off the couch to try and get him to rotate a little bit. Apparently if his head engages at the "looking downwards or upwards" angle then the labour could be long. But if he is looking sideways when he engages then labour should be smoother. I'll keep you girls posted :)

Hi all

I am so jealous of you ladies already on leave. It's atleast only 2 more weeks for myself.

How are you ladies feeling? I feel huge, and my belly is in the way. I am also a bit tired.

I had such a fright on Friday evening. I ate unhealthy again, so I had upset stomach in middle of night, and then after that I kept on having contractions. I eventually stood in the hallway, swaying my hips and breathing. So I thought o no, I am only 35 weeks, but then I spoke to him, and told him he need to wait another 2 weeks. And then after that I didn't have any contractions for the rest of the night.

oh, and yesterday I gave myself a pedi and mani, and ladies I felt so great afterwards. My feet haven't had any attention in the last 6 months, he he he.

Please let us know if any one have some popping news, :)
