Mommys to be in SEPTEMBER 2010

Morning ladies.

Time is ticking, almost there.

I had a lovely surprise babyshower at work yesterday. Got lots of prezzies and big voucher, so nice of them (and there were 2 of us, he he, another lady due 8th Sept).

Ladies I am REALLY struggling to get my body out of bed in the mornings and during the night, when I need to make my visit to the loo. My body is sooo stiff when I wake up, and I struggle to turn around with big tummy.

I can't believe some of us will have our babies in a week's time, I am actually hoping I will be one of them, he he. I will be 37 weeks this weekend, and everybody at work says it looks like I am going to pop any moment now, he he. But baby have to wait until weekend otherwise I will not be allowed to have homebirth.

do any of you ladies have to pay gynae/midwife deposit? I need to pay deposit now, but not sure where I will get funds, and how it will work then with the medical aid. Seems I need to pay this, and then once baby is born the midwife should claim the difference and the remainder will be paid back to myself. But not entirely sure.

Can't wait for LO

Did your gynae do an internal on you or is still gonna do one in this last few weeks?

@Cornitalia, yes we were at that "tour". I went to fetch hubby and son at airport and planned the rest of our day around this "tour". Our boy was with, but he fell asleep about 10 minutes into the "tour".

Ginah, I just can't imagine still working, can understand why you were off. But you are lucky to have another BS. I also didn't get one from my friends, but I can't be bothered anymore. Don't feel like seeing anyone in any case anymore.

To you ladies going natural, holding thumbs that baby make his/her arrival close to the EDD and not make you wait too long.

Sonay - were you also at the "tour" on monday the 16th? I was so glad my husband was not with me because he would not have thought they funny to make him sit and watch a slide show when they say tour. See u will be in and out of the wards before I get to UNITAS. I go in on the 8th for my c section.


I agree with all of you I also thought LO slows down movement but not this little madam. She still loving kicking etc. Best is now my husband even says wow she moves alot.

Hope you had a good weekend. I had a lousy one my laptop is having power supply issues so now I had to borrow hubbys laptop.

I have taken 4 days off this week I couldnt take it no more.
Will go back for 2days to finish off next week. I am also having a
work shower next week monday which is one of the reasons why I have to go back.

Ntoko you are not alone I am actually very disappointed with my friends
but then again they are saving you from planning their babyshowers. I have vowed to be a visitor and never a planner or a host of any shower.
It soundes bitter I know but that will help me sleep better @ nite.

I guess I was lucky coz hubbys friends organised one fore me and I am having a work shower so thats not too bad.

Zakumi is also poking and prodding, she also doesnt want to move when daddy or anyone places their hands on my tummy, silly child.
My tummy is so huge and its giving me such back problems.

Seeing Dr on thursday for the last time...yeah!! and then its my csection on the 2nd of September. Baby is really heavy now she is
probably 3.5kg already. My back is still killing me.

Going for my (most probably) last scan on Fri - 4 days before my EDD
Still feeling good - don't know if I'm having slight BH but I do feel my tum getting hard (always thought it was bubs)

Kerry - D used to do the exact same thing, but now she's even more active (although the movements are meant to slow down) - also poking out and prodding - like waves inside

I keep wondering where I'll be when my water breaks - don't want to stray too far from home!!

Baby Kaelyn is doing the same! but she just loves making mommy look bad... so she pokes and prods and when daddy puts his hand there to feel... she stops... dead still until daddy moves away

the good bit now is that daddy actually sees her moving as he moves away so he knows i am not making it up...

Phew last night i didn't know whether to sit stand... nothing i did seemed to be comfortable... spent a great chunk of the night watchig tv on the couch...

and now i am sooo tired, but the maid is here so i cant just go zzzzz....

ah well... going to the gynea on the 25th (Wed) and i have a feeling i should be taking my hospital bags with... can feel sooo much going on down there... the hips are moving the back's sore... can even feel wen i am lying calmly movement on my cervix...

but it seems little Kaelyn is determined to stay in as looong as she possibly can.
