Hey moomies

I cant believe Unitas now shows a slide show. I had my LG there and we had a proper tour. The labour room for natural birth looked scary to me though and the nurse was so butch.

I wont be having an internal coz I am having a csec so Yeah!!
My Dr. doesnt deal with ma at all so we have to pay him R6200 cash, if you pay later its R7200 as in after the birth.

BabyKs mom tell me about it, I am also bad these days. I can only do 2 shops in a mall max. Thanx for the 2nd. My bags are packed already I just need to get slippers and a toilet bag otherwise all is in order, even babys bag is packed.
Yeah I am going back to work next week but for now I am at home
and taking it easy. I am planning on buying groceries on thursday
before my Drs app, so that after that I can come back home.

Sher do you have all ur stuff from Tanja? She is getting to me now I still have not received my linen and its been 6weeks already.

My friends think I am fussy coz they were asking me what I want and I told them I have bought stuff already. Now really why would I wait till day before baby comes for people to get me stuff

To those Seeing the Dr good Luck. To those who had Showers Yeah for you!!

Hello waddling fairies ;)

I feel all your aches and pains, been experiencing them for a while now. And was able to wear my wedding rings up until last week, now they're just too tight. I find taking calcium and slowmag before bed definitely helps with the leg and pelvic aches and I've started taking arnica tablets already and will continue for a few weeks after the birth to help with the stiff aching muscles (and bruising after birth).

Last night I had proper practice labour (BH), it was a little more intense than I anticipated. Not bad enough to make me get out of bed but kept me awake and with each wave I would try turn to the other side to relieve it a little. Felt mostly like heavy period cramps and my lower back was aching too. Also my boy was moving around alot, contributing to the stretching and aching. But once I got out of bed this morning and walked around a bit, all gone. So definitely not real labour. Will wait and see if it happens again tonight

Feel so tired today, can't get going. I'm going to have a nice shower now and do some washing - can't believe how much more I used to do in my "previous life" .

DH and I had 3 social plans on Sunday and we cancelled all 3 because we did a PnP Hyper shop and I was finished afterwards. In our "old lives" we would have gone to all 3 social engagements and probably done the shopping too!
Oh well, I'm so focused on baby now, all other things are falling by the wayside. I can't wait to meet him

Ntoko, my gynae only did the first internal at my 38 week appointment last week and my cervix was closed. I'm going again on thursday for my 39 week and he'll do another one.

Meekah, still check with your gynae but I've also had discharge for ages and my cervix was closed last week. Its one of the signs of the body getting ready for birth and things softening down there and also our bodies are creating more fluid and increasing blood flow :)

Good luck for the 2nd Ginah! That is my edd but I don't know if I'm going to last that long. I can't believe you still have to go in to work next week, I hope you can get things done quickly and go back home as soon as possible :)

Hi :)

I am going through exactly the same things that most of you are ...
Sonay I also have those pains and I just walk even though it also doesn't seem to help.
I am also 37 wks this week and I have a clear, milky, watery discharge ever since Sunday but I keep praying that this little one stays put until after next week when I am done with work.

Also going weekly check-ups now but I will ask my gynae about the discharge as it is rather unsettling and they say you usually get it as your cervix dialates even though actual labour could be a long time away still.

Work keeps me busy and since everything is done already I would be going mad at home.....also I work around the corner from home anyway so if anything were to happen I'd be ok....(I sound brave now but I honestly hope nothing happens  )

Also having a bs on Friday here at work and since my friend is arranging it she couldn't keep it a surprise  but I did promise to act surprised.

Sonay everything will be fine and I really can't still believe the tour was a slide show.... I have no complaints since my first delivery there , even though I had natural birth.
Next week some of you will be holding your lo's already????
I honestly can't believe how fast the time has come :)

Hi all!

Wow, our time is definitely coming! I cant believe how fast it has all gone! I am off to gynae tomorrow for 35 week scan - will be interesting to see how things are going, considering she was 2.4 kg at 33 weeks! I am too excited to meet her, but am quite happy to wait another few weeks, so I can finish at work next week and get some odds and ends done at home. Looking forward to having September off!

Sorry about those that didnt have a bs - I am sure you will still get spoilt when lo arrives. Even if it is not from those that you expected, I am sure you will get little surprises from unexpected places.

They had a surprise shower for DH at work on Friday which was really sweet - lots of lovely gifts. He was really touched.

All the best to everybody! Loads of blessings at this exciting time!

Mels - I`ll also be 37weeks this weekend but going full term(Natural). You seem to have had a really nice shower there ;)

About paying the gynae a deposit: I payed my gynae what they call a co-payment which is apparently the difference between what he`s getting from MA & u. So yes they`ll still gonna claim from ma but wont be getting a full amount hence you need to pay that difference. Hope i make sense.

Was also a bit confused aboutthis but i enquired with my ma & they explained.

Are you still at work?
