Good day all the lovely ladies

I started this thread and then I left...not because of the people, I just found a website which was even more user friendly. I still follow the threads now and then and read about you ladies.

I thought I just wanted to update you ladies here on my current journey. I went for my 22 week update and it was confirmed that my baby has a condition called duodenal atresia ( google it please ). We had to do the amnio for downs as it is associated with this and thankfully it came back negative. Well, my nunu still needs to be operated on when born, but he has the best surgeon in the country and we have GOD....Due to this problem, I also have polyhydramnios and I have weekly visits, because this can cause the baby to come early and this has been since 22 weeks and I am now 28 weeks - its been a long road. I have never prayed so hard to get at least to 34 weeks.

Why do I now come to share this with you...I really want everyone to realise how important this anomoly scan is and also that you should have it done with a SONOGRAPHER who has the special equipment to detect these abnormailites...normal ultrasound machines cannot detect it. At least we know what to expect and we are prepared.

Other then that, we are excited for the addtition to the family and I think I mentioned, it is a littly boy which is great as we have a 22 month old daughter.

Until next time ladies, all the best to you all and your pregnancies. MWAH!

FYI: CAN SOMEONE PLEASE FILL ME IN ON HUGGLES PLEASE - I SPOTTED SOMETHING, BUT NEVER GOT TO THE ACTUAL STORY - TX

Hey Robyn_C must put here that i have been having that same terrible problem for a while already... DH was about ready to kill...

I found that taking away the pillow between your legs and instead putting it under your bump helps... not a great deal but it is better, and way less disruptive to DH in bed.

Failing that on particulary bad nights i get up go to the lounge and lie on the couch with my back against the backrest... that helps.

:-) hope it gets better!

ABDOMINAL BINDER AND MATERNITY BRACE

Hey all your gorgeous mom's and mom's-to-be!!

Not sure if you remember the info I added to the forum about the orthepedic braces to help in getting your tummy back post birth or the back braces to wear during pregnancy to help eliviate back pain.

Just wanted to let you know that I will be going on maternity leave from the 9 July 2010, I will however still be avialable on line for an orders or queries. Please note however it will just be a little more difficult to arrange for delivery and all while on maternity leave, with my little girl
needing most of my attention and me not being able to drive for the first few weeks..

If any of you are wanting to order, please try not leave it till last minute as I dont want to leave any of you dissapointed.

Just incase you needed the info again, please find all attached and please feel free to ask me any questions. My email address is larissa@globemail.co.za.

Abdominal Binder

Maternity Brace

I have had some feedback from mommies and mommies-to-be about both the products. They are all loving it and say it is super comfortable. Also the abdominal binder for post pregnancy, really does work.

Hope you have a great holiday tommorow.

Regards

Larissa

Hello ladies

29wks today - still 2 more weeks til we see lo again :(

I've been having some pains in my lower abdomen lately - just above my groin, at the bottom of my bump. Not cramps or BH but more like lo is trying to push her way out through my tummy (happens if I walk around alot or climb stairs etc) Probably just my uterus stretching

Another issue I have is my hips while sleeping !! I sleep on my side, but after an hour or 2 that hip gets incredibly sore, almost like it's being pushed out the socket! So I need to turn over quite often, which really disrupts my sleep (and DH's!)
I've tried putting a pillow between my knees, but that doesn't help
Any suggestions?

Happy to be almost at 30 weeks, but honestly i don't know where the time went!

The Hubby and i keep getting this realisation that in a few short weeks nothing will ever be the same!
