Robyn it definitely seems like the staff in different branches are very different and make the store.

Baby City near Tygervalley has a huge range of products and i will do my baby registry there because of that, but their staff is appalling - NEVER EVER had anyone come to offer to help me or show me anything and their big stuff (prams, cots etc) are so badly labelled there's never prices on them or info about them or a sales assistant in site.

Which is why i'm buy my bigger items at Baby Boom near Cape Gate. Their staff is amazing. You barely bend over a pram to look and there's someone offering to show you all it's features etc. All the big items have prices easily visible. Their product range is a bit limited (definitely less stuff than Baby City) but the staff are just so much more helpful. I even threw a total and utter pregnant frothy there the day we bought our pram cos i was in a bad mood. Shame i made the lady unpack 4 different prams from their boxes to show me and then we saw a totally different pram we liked and got her to do a full demo on that and hten bought that one! She remained helpful and friendly the whole time! Didn't once look irritated!

But it sound like it definitely then depends on the branch.

HoneyLove - I recommend Baby City.
Huggles seems to have had a bad experience there but I am having my registry at the Tokai branch cos they have a great variety of everything and are very helpful.
On the other hand, I really didn't like Baby Boom at Access Park - found their products old, not a big range to choose from and not very helpful (quite different experiences!)
But you must definitely shop around.
Toys R Us & Reggies is great if you have a Discovery Card as you get a nice discount from them (and the great vouchers from the Discovery Baby Bag - very helpful!)

Guys I cant wait for our birth stories. I love
reading other peoples and it seems the natural birth stories are more interesting than the csec ones.

Honeylove, Baby Boom has quite a nice selection of campcots (and a few wooden cots). They are also super helpful and will come and show you all the features etc of the campcots. Another nice thing about Baby Boom is you register for their Boepie Club (free) and then any purchases you or any friends or family of yours makes there (you just tell them your Boepie club card number - 3 digits) gives you points and after the birth you get 5% money back on all the money spent using your card number!

Other places: Toys R Us, Reggies, Edgars (limitd range - campcots only), Baby City (unhelpful and also very limited range).
