Ally then I am certainly no lady. I forget to close the door when guests come. I even show dylan when I pee or Neil goes to pee so that he has understanding of what happens on the loo. It is funny as Dylan sometimes tries to get a really good look and Neil almost hits him. lol

Mandy, alas we have very few of those mornings now. Most of the time they're awake at 7...this morning at 6!

And now they are refusing to sleep. You would think they are tired after being up for 4 hours already.

Vix, wow C is so clever! He'll probably take a while to really get it up the fact that he is starting is a really good sign!

Mandy, I'm also going to get one of those seats. I'm not one for a potty.
The twins watch me pee sometimes but I'm private with going to the bathroom and so is C. I still hate going for a number 2 when he's in the next room. I think it's coz of my mom that I'm like that. She always told me that 'ladies' (like I'm a lady lol) have to have some mystery about them. It took me 2.5 years just to fart infront of C lol lol lol. But I'll be more open about pee-ing infront of them and I'll ask C to also take Aidan with him more regularly so he can see how it's done.

Hi ladies

We have had a lovely morning so far. The boys let me sleep till 8 30. A bit disrupted but so nice anyway. Then Dylan and I put on some music dvd's. Red hot chilli peppers and U2 and we had a ball dancing and now he just sat on my lap and gave me kisses which means he is tired so he is napping now.

I really need to sort out the laundry today.

Mandy that is a great tip about the toilet so I will check it out.

Toys r us have a nappy special of 150.00 for pampers. Must go get some today.

I shouldn't really be here, I should be packing lol. I got quite a lot done yesterday, just waiting for DH to get back now with some more boxes, I've only got massive ones left and I need smaller ones for all the glasses etc...that's my excuse anyway.

Starting to get excited about the move now but also nervous, we're keeping everything crossed for transfer this week as it would make life soooo much easier, otherwise we have to move our stuff elsewhere and stay with friends until transfer happens. We thought about asking to take occupation next weekend regardless of whether transfer has happened or not but these people have delayed us soo much we really don't want to take the risk of moving in and then them delaying for occupational rent, from how they've behaved so far its possiobly the kind of thing that they'd do...

I don't know if its a cold I have or blocked sinus, my nose is running and I'm so blocked up and I keep getting headaches. Its really is so frustrating not being able to take anything, I said to Dh yesterday, what did they do in the old days before there was over the counter medicine, he replied "they died" LOL. It gets worse at night which means sleeping with my mouth open, I hate it! Then I had a brainwave on Friday and put some Olbas oil on my pillow, slept so much better then it suddenly struck me yesterday that I probably shouldn't be using the Olbas, googled it and needless to say its something I probably shouldn't touch Nothing contraindicative but its safety also not proven...grrr. Now what lol!

Vix - Clever Clever C!! I haven't even got a potty for Oliver yet but he's showing absolutely no signs of even knowing when he's pooped or wee'd so I think its still a fair way off for us. Theo's Gran asked me at 12months if I'd started potty training yet and I was like WTF?! I have no intention of rushing him, I think you're doing everything right by following C's cues

that soup sounds fab, thanks vix. I have never got soup to the right consistence - my mom and dad both make brilliant soup, but since they dont live here, i never get to watch! now i know to take the veg out and put back...! will have to try some!

We left cam til 8am this morning - typical as its hubbys turn, we heard him a few times but he was just jabering and not calling for us..so we only got outta bed at 8! Im always so jealous when ally tells us about 8am mornings or later!

we had a great day yesterday - cam slept for 3,5hrs at midday and so i slept for 2 and still had awake time to relax some more!

Nelria, i have a friend who is preggie with 2nd one and is one week behind you and she is also only starting to sift through the clothes. She has a girl and her second is a girl. She doesnt mind as she wants FOURR!!!!!! MAD CHICK! so im going to go to her house today and help her SORT!! and KICK HER BUT! no hospital bag packed etc!

Vix, see how nice it is when kids are ready for the potty! Well done mom!

PS - another friend of mine with 2 kids already says that we should try to move them onto the toilet with the potty inlay and the steps as soon as possible. SHe says the schools all recommend this otherwise they can have a fear of the toilet. Also , it can take MONThs to get them used to the potty and then you start all over again with getting them used to the toilet and just prolongs the training. Personally this made sense to me, and I would prefer not to have to deal with a messy potty each time, so I am going to buy those things next month..

The soup is sooooo easy and Cheap @ less than R5 per huge serving.

1 bunch of leeks (6-8)
8 medium potatoes peeled and quartered
1 cup of butter
1 cup of milk
2 chicken stock cubes
1.5l boiling water
Salt and pepper

Cut off the ends of the leeks, then wash and cut lengthways once, then slice very finely.
Saute leeks in half the butter for 5 min.

Add boiling water to stock cubes until dissolved and add liquid to sauted leeks.

Add potatoes and little salt and white pepper.

Simmer for 25min or until potatoes are soft.

Seperate potatoes and leeks from liquid and mash or liquidize if preferred.

Add potatoes and leek back to liquid.

Add 1 cup milk and rest of butter. Re heat and add black pepper to taste.


I am thinking to add an extra stock cube next time but DH was happy as it was.

Pfairy it broke my heart to 'sleep train' Addy this week, but I thought enough is enough! she just woke for a bottle...never to play or anything. My mom says I'm cruel...but we only did it for 2 nights and I don't wanna jinx it...she's been sleeping thru. Keep fx it lasts!

Vix the soup sounds great! I went thru a mad leek stage...so must try that....u must send me the recipe when u have time!

Vix I could not stand the smell of garlic, meat...kfc. I also never had a sweet tooth....so we are all keeping fx it means there's a mini Vix in there!
