Julz I started school having just turned 5....so for me a kid turned 6 already has a year advantage:)

The emotional aspect at that age is bad I feel...but luckily my home life forced me to mature early....so I was prepared to be with kids much older than I was as i was way more mature. But exposed to drinking/drugs/sex at a much earlier age (I didnt partake in the sex and drugs part) as my friends were doing it....I feel proud that I was able to resist.

So you are very right to consider the emotional aspects. Luckily they have guidance teachers and phycologists that can assess the child's school readiness I believe?

Julz we are lucky in that Addison has pretty good bladder control (better than me!lol). We've asked her to pinch for like 10-20min while we race home or to wherever we are going....and she'll do it. Shame man...so did you have to change clothes? And the car seat??

Simone yes it means they wait another year but if they are born just before year end it means they can be up to a year younger than their class mates which I don't like the idea of at all. It means Dylan will start school having just turned 6 which I feel is too young.

I will see how he does and if the teachers and I feel he could do with another year in grade R then we will do that rather than him struggling. I worry about the emotional aspects rather than the academic aspects.

Dylan is going to the loo by himself. He says mommy stay, daddy stay which means he wants go go alone. Only problem is he doesn't wipe either simone.

Shame he wet his pants in the car with me driving between parties on Sat. He said mommy wee wee and I was in the middle of a bloody detour so I asked can you wait a minute and he said no so I knew it was already too late.

Was getting so worried about schools for Addison....but just got reply from School that kids must turn 5 in first year of pre-primary...irrespective of when they turn 5 in that year.

So now need to find an educare/daycare type place for next year.

Also thinking then best for this little girl or guy to come before the end of 2011. If child turns 5 on 2 January....does that mean they wait a whole year to go to school vs a child that turned 5 on 31 December 2 days earlier??? hmmm....

Morning ladies

Mandy how did last night go?

Nicole thanks re: Addy...she's a real character and I am just falling more inlove with her everyday!

The puzzles sound great and educational! I'm sure K will be finishing them in no time:)

Julz hope you feel better soon.

Ally good luck with the Land Rover thing :)

AFM....posted last night but lost the post...hate when that happens:(

Had horrible MS yesterday in the car after lunch at John Dory's...luckily I carry plastic packets around in my bag! How sad is that?? lol. I told G he cannot make me wait to find sex...I have to know if this little bugger making me so sick is a he or a she... :side: On the plus side...losing weight daily!!!! So glad about that as now on lowest weight in 2yrs.

Zee how weird was the pee'ing on the bed?? Eish these girls! luckily no repeat this side and everything back to normal. Our problem with Addison though...is she goes to the loo herself now...and then flushes away the evidence...but she doesn't wipe herself off! So if she poops and flushes....she just pulls up her panty and off she goes...so we always have to listen out for her when she's too quiet...lol

HI girls.

Mandy, I think Vix is right about him wanting a bit more of your attention. Glad it went better though!

Nicole, glad you had a nice weekend. The twins are also so fast with those wooden puzzles, I have packed them away now. The jigsaw puzzles sounds like a good idea.

Julz, glad you're enjoying the kindle! :)

I got a Torch over the weekend and then C was so jealous, he went and got himself an iPhone! This man is SO impulsive!

I can't believe I'm turning 25 on Thursday. 25! TWENTY FIVE! I know it's SO young but for me it feels like a really important age. Not sure why. Just the fact that it's A QUARTER OF A CENTURY.

I'm doing a grilled cheese party for my family. Just going to get loads of different breads, cheeses and nice fillings and everyone can make their own sarmies. Will have 3 of those Panini Presses so it makes it easier for everyone. Also thought I must maybe make a nice big jug of margarita's or something and then will just bake a big cake for dessert.

For once, I have no idea what I want for my bday. My dad got me the Torch (just had to pay in on a contract) and I think C's just going to get me a Nigel Slater book. I'm going to treat myself to a few books as well I think. And then on Saturday we're going for dinner with my best friend and her bf. Very low key, just what I want. :)

I have something in the pipeline with my blog and Land Rover, but don't want to jinx it. Just hold thumbs please! :)

Julz oddly enough K also pretends that everything is a spaceships, he was playing with his building blocks yesterday and came to show me what he had made and told me proudly "its a spaceship - like buzz" and then he went whooshing around the house :)

Sorry you are suffering with insomia at the moment, but to be honest, if i had a kindle i would also be up most of the night lol :)

Hi Ladies

Vix how is the no nappy going at night??????

Nicole the puzzles sound really nice. Dylan isn't that into puzzles or shall I say he does them, but they do not always resemble the actual picture. I think I have a creative, free spirit on my hands here.

He can't do puzzles, but imagines anything to be a spaceship.

Mandy I am glad you are sleeping later in the mornings. Thanks for the deworking reminder. I have it but Dylan was sick so wanted to wait till he was off all the meds.

Forgot Friday is a holiday for Dylan too.

I am so flipping tired. Really battling to sleep or fall asleep. Maybe it's the kindle. Simone it is an ebook reader.

emailed the doc. I am not fully better and unless I take pain killers I am rather uncomfortable so lets see what he says. I have a really busy week ahead.
