Hi ladies, can only do a short and sweet post today....

Lelani hun, im so sorry you have to go through all of this, it must be very difficult for you. xxx I have to agree with all the other mommies and to approch a family theripst to ask for advice on how this situation should be handled. xxxx sending you biiiiiiig virtual hugs. Just remember we are all here for you!

Simone eeek good luck!!!!!

Helen hope the homeopathic meds work for Nina!!! and that the infection stays away!!!

Zee sorry to hear that Z is going through a rough time adapting to the creche, it does take a while for a child to adapt BUT if you feel that there is something off etc and she is not behaving like you expected her to then trust your gut instinct, but i would also have a chat to the prinicple! ((hugs))

Angie nice to hear from you again!! :)

Simone your question (from the weekend it i think???) re: soft/running yolk in eggs - i looooove soft eggs, but i did avoid it for the first 20 weeks i think...thereafter i limited myself to one a week.

Ally so exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can you not be excitited??Keep us updated!!

afu, all is well, K behaved like an absolute angel last night :) But i did think he was going to eat us out the house, yesterday from the time he got home (just after 16:00) he had a cheese sarmie, supper which was bowel of spagetti bolg - about 4 heaped tablespoon of mince and a little bit of pasta, an apple,a yogurt and then a handful of chips.

This weeks theme at school is about firemen, so the creche organised with the fire department to bring a fire engine to the school, they allowed the kids in the fire engine, put on the sirens etc, apparently K loved it and they had to practically drag him out the car as he was holding on and not letting go lol. I really love this creche as they do such wonderful things for the kids daily :)

okay got to run.
xxx

Morning ladies,

Really busy at work so not sure how far I'll get before I get interrupted!

Lelani - Wow you're really going through it at the mo, shame man, not an easy time for any of you, I think Ally has made a very good point. Its not an easy decision to make at the best of times but if things are already a bit unsettled then maybe now might not be the right time, in the other breath it could be exactly what C needs so I honestly can't say, I think the ladies are right in that getting some advice from a therapist might help.

Zee- Sorry Z is having such a rough time with creche, I totally believe you must follow your instincts, if you don't think she's happy then maybe look at some alternatives. Would the daymother have her back? Or maybe you could see if she can go for two or three days a week rather than fulltime? Or maybe even half days? I know there is probably an awful lot of logistics involved in doing it that way but maybe Ziani would be happier? I think you should speak to the creche owner and see how she thinks she's settling in and then take it from there.

Angelique - Glad you're still alive lol :D Hope Cole is well.

Ally - Awesome!!! Great news that its positive feedback from Penguin! Will keep fingers crossed for you hon :)

I took Nina to the pharmacy and actually ended up seeing a Homeopath as she was the only one in the pharmacy that could check her ears, she has got fluid on her ears but the homeopath said its draining (?!) and its not infected (yet!!). She mixed up some homepathic remedy that I can give her to help it along so I thought what the hell I may as well try and hope that it works, I've got nothing to lose really and I really don't want her to need antibiotics again. So I started last night, its just a few drops that I put in her mouth, I don't know if its coincidence but she sounded like all the mucus/phlegm was loosening this morning so I'm just going to keep an eye on her over the next few days and hope for the best. If there's no improvement then I'll have to take her to the ENT.

I must get back to work now, oh the joys...

Lelani this is such a tough issue to deal with. I have to agree with Ally & Julz in that you should definitely do it under supervision of a psychologist. Let them assess if this is the appropriate time for Chanel to find out. And then you also definitely need M on board and he's going to have to be super good with her then so that she doesn't question his love for her despite him being stern with her.

Thinking of you and hope this all works out well my friend ... big vitual hugs to you xxx

Morning ladies

Angelique so great to hear from you! How is Cole doing?? Please do update us when you can:-)

Lelani...what a difficult place to be in. How frustrating for you feeling that one child is a 'fave' and the other isnt:-( I agree with Julz in discussing this with the family...making M realise that you need his support and Chanel will most definately need his support...and then working with a therapist. *hugs* my friend!

Lelani telling Chanel is a life changing choice not only for her but for the whole family. I am not saying it shouldn't be done, I think it should but there are huge concerns for everyone. This is certainly something that must be discussed with a therapist. One who works with family psychology. Like ally says, they will be able to tell you if this is the right time for chanel and if it is how to go about doing it and very importantly you will need the support of Marius too.

I feel so for you Lelani. This must be such a huge weight on your shoulders.

Lelani, you have a very difficult situation on hand. Please only take what I'm about to say as advice and not what you SHOULD do. I think if you tell Chanel about her real dad now, she'll rebel even more and might spiral out of control. She's at such an impressionable age and going through that "not a girl but not yet an adult" phase which is terrible, awkward and emotional. If she has to learn such life changing news now, she might not know how to deal with it. I think you should perhaps talk to a therapist and ask them what would be the best way to deal with it. Maybe have the therapist speak to Chanel first and see how she would be able to handle it. I'm so sorry you're going through such a rough time. I wish I could give you a BIG HUG!
