Oh Zee that is quite sad. My friend who owns the school Dylan attends said that they had a kid that cried all day long and they gave it a week or two, but then they called the parents as they felt the child wasn't settling in as he should.

Usually kids cry for the parents (yes just to add to our guilt) but they settle during the day. If you saw that the teacher was rough then that isn't ideal either and you should take it up with the owner. Sometimes a young teacher may not be as patient with the children especially a child that is so upset which is understandable considering the fact that Ziani was hurt.

How old was the child that knocked her over. Dylan's school split outdoor times so that only kids of the similar age play together.

In Dylan's previous school there were only 20 kids and 3 caregivers so they could let all the kids play together and keep an eye on things but in larger schools it isn't always possible so they should split the kids according to age.

I hope things settle but follow your gut instincts. x

Hi everyone
So the crèche ordeal continues. Got a call this morning saying Z got hurt on the playground, a bigger boy bumped into her and her lip was cut open. Off I went and when I got there the kids were lying on their mattresses. The (very young) “teacher” was busy with a child, putting her on the mattress and I thought she worked a bit rough and then I saw it was my child and she was actually crying. So she said she’s trying to calm her down and she’s been very upset etc etc etc. The lip didn’t look as bad as I thought it would. She cried so much, doctor just prescribed some ointment but she’s got an ear infection now (which explains our very BAD night) .. So I just don’t know if Z is ready for school now, first the eye infection, now the ear infection, the irritating teacher who could’ve been my daughter, the crying every day, the alone play ... I simply don’t know if I did the right thing and for how long I should continue with this exercise ...
Lelani, hope you can sort it all out ... Can’t be easy for you or the children with all the fighting, think it’s a good idea to see someone. Good luck ...

Helen hope the nurse can check for you. Though once we asked the nurse to check Addy as we were there for vaccinations and she said she was fine...and we went to paed same afternoon and he diagnosed ear infection? So I dont know.....

lelani - ag man i dont know re dh and c and u man it sucks when children are used as pawns(for lack of beter word) and i realy dont know all i know biting my tongue never works for me as i explode overly dramatically once i start ofloading so with brett i call him on his shit now so none of us bottle

lisha flew with lea twice to cpt and back really fine as long as chewing, drinking etc - the onflight meal keeps her pretty busy and then she sleeps for rest

nicole - u adding bath later? my 2 has bath then into bed to set routine and marker but in this house we put dstv in for lea so now when she is in bed we put a playlist on and she is asleep quick we can switch her tv on and off from our remote so we switch off if we think she is asleep then she will call us and we negotiate - but otherwise she screams to sit with us downstairs and i refuse to see a kid from after 7.30-10 (dummy and cry runs fine) but no more palying

ok so unisa day today and tomorrow then some social then back to DIY - are flat broke now and i mean totally so have to wait for bond to continue spending so xen back home from wednesday

damm promised brett monkey business tonight as on sat he lit fire etc and my periods started while he was bathing kids so very dissapointed so tonight (finished again) he said straight after baths LOL

Helen ag no sorry to hear Nina is not herself again, hopefully the Dischem nurse will be able to assist, well as least try give you a way forward. This time of the ear is terrible though for chests etc, K was awake from 10:00 til 11:30 last night because he was coughing non-stop from post nasal.
