Morning ladies

Zee oh gosh I remember the days I missed my wine :( Hope Ziani feels better soonest and you get some much needed rest.

Christi hope you get all the PMB stuff sorted. Nice that the GP is willing to do all the monthly checkup's.

AFU had a okay evening. Got Shrey's passport pics taken last night and got some stuff for the week from Woolies. My niece is with us for a for days due to school holidays so my child is going to be super tired the next few days.
He sounds like he's losing his voice since last night but not complaining of a sore throat and no temp YET (touch wood). I did ask if it hurt and he said no so can't be too bad yet. Maybe just too much time in the cold yesterday with mil???

Things kind of tense in the office today so I'd best get back to work. Nice that bosses aren't around till next week so can relax a bit :)

Hi everyone

Hope you are all doing well. Z is still a bit under the weather and we went to the doctor again. Hopefully she will be better soon because we are not getting ANY sleep at this stage … So I’m not feeling very bright and cheery at all, I’m also coming down with flu or something so I’m having a lovely little pity party. Damn I miss my wine and meds!

I’ m finally starting to buy some things for the new baby, can you guys remember how many packs of nr 1 nappies did you buy? I know it’s a far stretch because I cannot remember a thing from that stage, just my zombie like appearance.

Helen, sorry about the kids not feeling well again. Really hope that things will improve soon. When is your mom going back home?

Welcome 2km! I live with my hubby and daughter in Krugersdorp. My little girl is turning 3 in October and that is when we are expecting her sibling. I’m in the magazine industry and love my hectic but fulfilling job.

Z is not a big eater and would eat noodles for breakfast, lunch and supper if she could.

Glad the news is PINK, Ankia!

Simone, happy days are almost here again. I’m sure he will be fine connecting and returning!

Nelria, bad fighting with your parents, hope the time flies so that you can move in and that you also sort the stuff out with your folks.

Christi, Z is going to a bday party this Saturday so won’t make it Sorry! Excited about the baby!

Nicole, K sounds so adorable, hope things improve with the other situation.

Yoza, I’m glad that Siba is doing better!

Okay, got to go. Sorry I know I’m missing loads of posts …

Hi Ladies!

Welcome 2KM... I'm Chrisda, married to Maarten, our LG is Iris, 2yrs4mnths old and I'm expecting our 2nd little one (about 7.5weeks now). Iris doesn't eat too well at home but the day mom has assured me that she finishes all her food during the day so I'm not too worried...

Vix, Helen, Mandy, Nelria, Ally, Zee, Anneli, Ankia, Zamzie, Jessica, WHO else... lives in Gauteng..?

Are we having a meet on Saturday...? I miss you ladies sooo much!!! Since it's gonna be in the afternoon, I thought we could ask the hubbys to braai us some wors and we could have hotdogs as sort of a late lunch..?

Went to the GP today and its confirmed, I will be 8weeks on Friday... He is prepared to see me for most of my pregnancy consults so I can claim them as PMB's from Discovery, but has asked that I clear it with my Gynae first so tomorrow I need to phone to get an appointment with the Gynae....

Things at work seems to have gotten a bit better and I guess I will have to stick it out there now as being preggies & getting a new job generally doesn't go well together....

Helen, so glad to hear Nina's hips are fine!! Sorry about the ear infection though... Still need to go have Iris' feet checked out by the foot specialist, the specialist the GP referred us to doesn't specialise in feet but said that there is definately a problem with her feet (flat feet) although it doesn't need urgent attention, which is why I haven't made too much of an effort to get her checked out properly, BAD MOMMY...

Ok, hubby is getting grumpy, gotta go, night everyone....

HI ladies.

Helen, I hope NIna's ear infection clears up soon. Shame man, the twins have only been sick a couple of times and even with that I hate it so I can just imagine how you must be feeling.

2KM, welcome! :) I'm Ally, 25 with twins Aidan & Abigail (2yrs4m). Married to Chris. I have my own food blog called Simply Delicious, I write, photograph and style food. It's turned into a career for me now and I do magazine shoots and do food writing for quite a few different projects. My husband is a web-developer and we both work from home. I stay in Pretoria. :)

I'm very lucky with the twins, they eat incredibly well. For breakfast I scramble 3 eggs so they both get 1.5, then they'll have 5/6 cherry tomatoes and 1 slice of toast with that. Lunch at 12 consists of anything from a sandwich with yoghurt/banana, or just yoghurt and fruit or if I feel like cooking they'll have pasta or Risotto etc. Then at about 3 they'll eat a bit of fruit or a biscuit and at 18h00 they eat whatever we eat for dinner, probably about 1.5 to 2 cups of food. They don't snack much so meal times they eat a lot. ANd they only drink water during the day (mainly because I only drink water).

But I know so many moms who aren't worried about dinner because their children have a good meal at school.

Nelria, it's terrible fighting with your parents when you still live with them. I know my dad and I also sometimes fight but lately when he picks a fight with me I just kind of ignore him and give him 1 word answers, that shuts him up pretty fast. lol

Been quite busy the last few days, writing T&C's for my advertising agreements and now need to work on a contract for this guy who wants to advertise. I never though my blog would lead me into this direction...is this what it's like to be a grown-up? Auditors? Lawyers? Ai yai yai!!

Ah Julz, I would love to get together with all the ladies but my weekend is so busy, seems like I never get to do these kinds of things, there is always so much going on on weekends.

Toddlers are really difficult when it comes to eating. I know dylan eats well at school so I honestly don't worry about night time. i place food infront of him and give him 30 mintues to eat and that is that. I am not going to fight with him about eating. I do find he likes stews etc so winter is great.

Egg are actually quite good and you can eat more than 2 a week but variety is great.

Dylan will eat peeled apples. He has yoghurt at 7 in the morning, then breakfast at school, snack, lunch and snack so dinner isn't a huge issue.

Hope you can join us on Sat 2km. I have already met you. The rest of the girls are great.

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.

@ Nicole P, my son will eat scrambled eggs every day but I try limit it to 2 a week becasue I know it's not good to eat more than that. So that leaves very little in the way of other food that he will eat. Oh, I seriously hope it gets better soon. I think I am going to try make some smoothies for him and see if that way he can get fruits and veges in but i really don't want him to get used to eating pureed things, I want him to eat the real thing. By the time my daughter was 12 months old she would devour a whole unpeeled apple on her own with no assistance. My Son just takes it, says apple and then throws it across the room.
