Hi Helen, nope the losec didnt seem to make a difference to Cameron that we noticed so we didnt carry on. I do wish it had though..The isomil made quite a big difference and I really dont remember how long until it all stopped. It robbed cameron and us of his sleep through the night though.. I think it stopped somewhere between 3.5 and 5.5 months coz thats when i got a night nurse. I think that I took a lot longer to figure out what it was though.. Being a first baby i thought it was all "normal" and it was my friend who saw him sleep who said that he was uncomfortable ( she'd had two kids) and she watched cameron try to sleep and said he seemed disturbed! So by the time we figured it out, Cameron was used to waking up often and it became a habit that if he woke up and cried , we thought something was wrong and would go in to try to settle him. You will probably notice with Nina that she doesnt like to lie horizontally in your lap, she prefers to be vertical, that will really help her feel better and also longer burping than normal seem to settle cameron more .. it seemed to soothe cameron.. We used telement drops lots and lots and the bennets colic drops seemed to work really really well. At the time, we had heard bad things about Bennets so we stopped using it, but if you really want Nina to get some sleep on the odd night - say once or twice a week, then Cameron used to sleep his longest on the bennets!

Julz thanks for touching base - how is Neil

Nel thanks very much for all that info :)

Nicole - your boy is GORGEOUS :)

Lisha, unfortunately no medical doctor has talked me through these results, but I do assume on the basis that my dad has the same problems and that he is pre diabetic and that he was prescribed the SAME med - glocophase, like i have been that I am prone to becoming diabetic in the long run if I dont monitor my blood sugar and maintain a low gi diet.. I will defiantely ask when i am next at my gp and Ive asked for a copy of the results to show the gp - luckily the lady that did give me the results did say that because my levels are borderline, most patients with my type of levels get positive results from these meds so that the blood sugar gets back under control.. but i reckon, now more than ever ( esp with my next door neighbour getting cancer) I just feel that an annual medical will do me good so that I can check and request these things to be monitored!

okay ready for bed now.. Vix, baby watching tv today on fb is too cute!!

Things are going well just lots going on.

Helen I am glad things will hopefully get better now. Dylan was so much better on Isomil. He actually still has it as his last bottle at night.

Yoza glad the kids are well. Can't wait for a get together again.

mandy - yes the transfer fees does apply to us whooooooop whoooop we are on a 850 place only paying 7500 instead of 17 500 all and all the cost involved to transfer R30 000 (R24 000 for transfer and R6000 for lawyers doing the bond registration)

As for not showing during the wee its not problem at all remember most buyers work too so they can only do from 6 onwards - mostly our tenants opened for agents between 7-8 and wknds in any way

yes u negotiate offers and everything but nothing to it did all my negotions with my buyer via sms and with my seller via e-mail then over to lawyer once agreed now they do everything (agents dont negotiate in any way they bring u the written offer if u dont accept then case usually closed) whereas if u negotiate u can really thicken your reasoning then easier to settle also u offer ridiculous price then they settle way lower than via agents offering reasonable offer re their commision

for instance we looked at place of 950 then went back with builder(my boet) he pointed all faults out in front of seller then we went home got qoutes for all repairs send her our sums staing it will cost us R190 000 for repairs (exaceration off course) and offered R800 she then realised all of the work and countered it with 850 along with a bank valuation of 1.2 so then we were all happy on 850 - took 3 days and 4 e-mails VOILA

ok cant reply now anymore got to help dad cook love u all

Hi ladies

I agree its too quiet I suppose everyone is busy.

Nothing much on my side. The kids are well. Did I tell you that siba is of the bottle he now drinks from the sippy my mug even at night. He will rarely drink buhle's milk if he comes acros it. yay on that one. Im sure the speech therapist will be happy. I cannot wait to hear how his seesion was today. thursday are therapy day physio and speech.

As for sleeping he now wakes up at 5am at for cbeebies. not that im bothered as his sleeping quite well.

Buhle is talking more and picking up vocabulary its so cute and funny. Only problem is she is so clingy the minute I walk i have to hold her all the time.

Anyways it feels good just for once to have things back to normality in my house. And for that I am grateful to the man above.

Ara it so good to hear from you.

take care ladies and have a great evening

Hey everyone,

No time to catch up I'm afraid, just wanted to let you know - I should've paid Mandy instead of going to the paed lol.

He's prescribed Losec and suggested Isomil, she's too young to test for allergies etc so he said lets start off with trying to eliminate what its not. So I'll be starting her on the Losec tomorrow and if there's no improvement within a week then I'll be switching her over to Isomil, if there's no improvement after another a week I'll be trying her on Isomil AND Losec lol. My6 gut feeling is that the Losec probably won't work and that she needs soy formula but I don't want to mess around changing formulas unless I have to so now we watch this space. If neither of them make any improvements then its back for further investigation, she is gaining weight nicely (little dumpling is 7.05kg now!!) so he isn't too worried. I'm just concerned at the pain that she appears to be in at times so I'd really like to solve the propblem if we can. The chances are that if its reflux or a milk allergy its that that's causing the recurring ear problems. Mandy did the Losec etc help with Cam and if so how quickly did you see an improvement?

He also mentioned something interesting about her hip, the reason why he's so keen for us to get it checked out (although it would be routine to have it checked anyway) is because hip dyspraxia is far more common in those of European descent, he says he rarely sees it in his practice but knowing that I'm British he said its definitely something that needs to be investigated - its also something way more common in girls than it is boys. I'm still keeping fingers crossed its nothing to worry about though lol ;)

Will catch up later, absolutely exhausted today, got to bed at 11pm, Oliver up from 12-2.30am (not quite sure why but he just couldn't settle) and then Nina awake at 5...grrrr!

Have a nice evening
