Nelria forgot to mention K had croup last year and omw it was terrifying, i didnt sleep for 2 nights straight as i was worried he was going to stop breathing, plus the one night he was coughing so badly i had to turn on the hot shower tap, plus the bath's and basin taps and rubbed vicks on the basic so i could get it in the steam and that helped with the coughing. Hope Lea feels better soon and that Xen doesnt catch it.

okay so feeling paranoid, still have not started af and have no signs of it coming. fx it comes this weekend. Im a emotional wreck at the moment.

Forgot to add the interview went well...we just have some timing issues:-( The training starts 14 Feb...and of course that is a week away....so that may be a deal breaker. They'll let me know by Tuesday...I assume though that if somebody similarly qualified, but no notice period...they'll get the job over me. So its a bit up in the air at the moment.....

Besides chatting to Lelani on the phone forever this morning, I am quite busy so just a short pop in.Things looking really great on the work front.

Saw the doc again this morning. I cant handle being so nauseous the whole time and I can't vomit and if I try to I may loosen my permanent stitch so more blood tests to find cause and an appointment with a physician but next appointment in May only. He is like house though. Worth it. time to sort my body out!!!

Hi Ladies!!

Sorry I've been so scarse! But the week has just been awful sorry but I first have to rant....

1stly, when I reminded the boss on Monday afternoon that I will be finishing there Friday (today), he was a total ass and said he refuses to let me go on 2 weeks notice, I WILL work a month's notice and he doesn't care if I should start at the new company on the 14th, thats their problem. Then he bitched about having paid me a bonus in December (half my normal salary after 7months at the company) and the fact that I had 21 days paid leave in Dec. So I was very upset, but kept quiet and came home and wrote him a polite letter stating all the facts.
1. I had no contract so he cant expect more than the minimum notice stipulated by the law which is 2 weeks.
2. In the 8 months I've been there I nearly never took my lunchbreak because they were never there for me to be able to leave the office, when I added up those hours, it worked out to 16.5 work days, which I've worked without extra pay!!
So I asked him to tell me if he wanted me to work until today and then pay me for the 4 days of Feb, or if he wanted me to leave immediately and he didn't need to pay me for Feb as well. I was gonna give him the letter on Tuesday morning.

Then Tuesday my normal route to work was so badly backed up that I decided to take another route. And while waiting in line at a red traffic light a b1@tch in a Huyndai Taucson slammed into the back of my car at about 80km/h. My new (secondhand) car which I had only for 10 days!!! :angry: :angry: :angry: The damage...........................................R50000.00 :X My co-payment R7000.00 :X :X :angry: . I wanted her insurance to pay everything from the start, but the insurance companies refuse, they say that I must 1st claim with my insurance and pay the excess and then my insurance must claim back the money from hers....grrrrrr..... I am just SOOOO furious.....

So when I got to work on Tues the boss wasn't there (as usual) so I left the letter on his desk and continued with my work. When he got in, I saw him reading it but he didn't say anything. When I left at 5, he told me that he got the letter but he hasnt had time to read it yet, we can discuss it tomorrow. I mean really On my way home, all my neck muscles started to go into a kind of spasm and by Tues night my neck and right arm was extremely stiff & sore. So Wed morning I didn't go in but went to the doc and thank goodness he booked me off until Today!!! So Wed eve the boss sms and asks if I can come in Thurs to do a hand over, so I went in yesterday and at least thats finished now.

Ok thanks, thats my rant ladies.

Sorry ladies but I can't remember much more and I gotta start on my studies! This 3 week course is quite a tough one, we've got to do all the work at home! Classes are basically just there for writing tests and discussing problems we come across!

Hello mummies!

I'll see how far I get before madam wakes up, seems the two are on relay sleeps today so no rest for the wicked (I ususally get them down at the same time grrrr).

Had a pretty crappy week all in all, Oliver got over his cold but was then complaining of a sore ear so off to the doctor we went and another ear infection grrrr. Seems I caught it early enough so he's just got ear drops with a script for anti biotics (which I hopefully won't need) if it doesn't improve. Nina also went down with the cold and has been snuffly and poorly all week as well. Luckily both have been sleeping ok so at least I haven't had any long nights, just had two grumpy miserable LOs most of the week!

Then to top it off, as some of you have seen from my FB, Lucky, (one of our cats) came in on Wednesday for his tea looking a bit worse for wear and then when we got up yesterday the poor thing could barely walk and was quite obviously in a lot of pain, he hadn't even groomed himself over night because he was obviously just too sore. I took him to the vet and it looks like he's been beaten, most likely at the hands of a human There is no evidence of another animal attacking him (although I the human who did this is no better than an animal) and the vet thinks he was probably kicked/beaten I think I know which neighbour it might've been but I can't be sure. Luckily doesn't look like any serious damage, just a very bruised and inflamed little kitty The vet gave him a heavy duty anti inflammatory and he's looking a lot better today.

I'm still having problems with Nina's constipation, even giving 5ml Dulphalac every day I still have to take her nappy off and work her legs to make her go, its almost like she's terrified to go in her nappy or something I took her for injections this week and the nurse says to try pro biotics and then if that doesn't work then to try Iberogast - have any of you other ladies with experience in the constipation department heard of it/tried it? On a more positive note, she's weighing in at 6.2kgs (she's 9 weeks old today) and is a very tall 61cm! I actually think she's taller than Oliver was at this stage. And (I'm almost certainly going to jinx it now) I'm hoping we're almost close to a sleep through, we've had a few nights where she's gone from 6.30pm - 3am and 4am. I'm hoping once she's clear of the cold and back to taking full feeds we might get 10-11 hours...Oliver started sleeping through (6pm-6am) at around 9 weeks so hopefully as she's the same size she'll be the same...forever the optimist me lol!

And on that note madam's woken up so I must be off to warm bottle etc. I am reading all the posts but haven't had a chance to comment
