Ally i am beyond terrified to take K's dummy away eeeeeeek

So i have signed K up for Kindermusik and gym bears. They come to the creche every Monday and wednesday so thought it would be a nice extra activity for him to do. Its and extra R400 on school fee's but dont mind at all. Apparently with gym bears they do little excersise, learn to balance on low beams, throw bean bags around etc, sounds really sweet


We are having such rainy miserable weather here, hope it clears before weekend. Need to do more packing tonight. Cant wait until we settled into our new house.

Im going to go through all K's old baby clothes, i have kept special outfits but the rest i am going to give to our domestics daughter who is preggies.

Leigh, wow my heart just stopped when I read about your nephew. My dad is ALWAYS nagging us to keep the doors closed etc. Thank God we have a net over our pool but we are still very vigilant about the doors being closed and not letting them play by the pool by themselves. When I was young I had a lot of kids in my nursery school die from drowning and my mom never stopped drilling it into our heads that we're not allowed to play by water.
I hope your nephew recovers 100%!

Nothing much to report on. Kids still doing so well with potty training. Abi hasn't had an accident (pee-ing that is) in the last 3 days. I can't believe it's going this well. I was so scared of doing potty training, just like I was so scared to move them to beds and SO SCARED to take their dummies away. But i think I'll do one thing at a time. Once they're fully potty-trained I'll take their dummies away. At least they're 100% off fluids at bed times now. I fill their new juice cups with water at night so they have a few sips and go to sleep. It's such a relief to not have to buy a 2l milk every 2 days! And soon nappies will also be a thing of the past. Yipeeee!

Nicole, so glad K ate all his supper. Iris also mostly don't eat at night but the daymom has assured me that she polishes hear lunch (cooked meal) every day and said I shouldn't worry if she doesn't eat that well in the evenings.

Lisha, DH also does that, puts on the TV and then passes out

Vix, glad to hear C goes to sleep so easily without his dummy!

Nelria, just keep searching I'm sure the right job will come along. You can try pnet.co.za & bestjobs.co.za, and maybe see if there are not any agencies in the area you can approach?

Iris is doing fine, she shows no interest in the potty these days, but comes and tells me everytime she has made a poo at least.

afm, Finally K ate supper last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i made spag bolg and he was crying for the food whilst i was cooking it, so dish him up 2 tablespoons of mince and a handful of spagetti and he ate it all and then asked for MORE!! so dished him another tablespoon of mince which he ate all as well and then he still had a banana. So i was one happy mommy last night

Shame i thought this was so sweet i was acting like i was crying because K was ignoring me, so he he ran up to me and hugged me and said "dont cry mommy" lol, was priceless

Vix hope you had a decent night. Glad C is doing well and having good nights. Simone's internet has been capped at work so she can only log on again next month.

AFM I felt very fluish yesterday, body pain & feverish. Had 2 panado's & a med lemon. Feeling a lot better this morning & hope to remain that way. Shrey thankfully slept well but only fell asleep at 9:30 because his clever dad put on Ice Age 3 for him to watch just before 8 and fell asleep himself. I was not impressed and did not hide my annoyance lol.
He's being so adorable sometimes with his please, thank you & bless you. Very proud that my often monsterous child has manners lol.

Anyway back to work for me.

Nelria- is there any reason why you can't move into your house until it's sold? Sorry about all the expenses. I'm sure there'll be a company willing to hire you, so many companies hire and then send people to study so I don't see the difference there.

Sorry I didn't reply much today, I was reading but I spent a lot of the day with both babies in my arms at the same time, niggly little buggers today. Alex is constipated for some random reason because he's been fine on the formula til now, I think maybe because he's drinking more of it so I'm going to introduce a rooibos bottle twice a day to up his water intake because the Lacson isn't doing the job. Grrrrr this is why I hate formula but.you gotta do what you can. Jono is just his regular colic deamon, what's new?

C has totally amazed me! Last night and tonight he's gone down without even asking for the dummy, last night he only woke once for a drink and today he has been fine. I am loving all the dry kisses now his face and neck aren't covered in saliva. I think I can safely throw the spare dummies away now, boy that was nice and easy, much better than expected.
