Shame Lisha...poor baby! Thankgoodness we/ve never had constipation. When we changed formula, Addy's poo went green and I almost had a stroke...lol.

Hope Vix and Julz's advice helps.

I didnt know about mixing formula with warm water. I think i always mixed with warm or boiling hot water????

Lisha...you know I think you have no business even knowing what calories are...lol. BUT like i said to somebody yesterday, we all have our own feelings as to what makes us feel comfortable in our skin...and living healthier will really only benefit us....skinnies and fatties alike

Yes it can lisha. The dietitian told me this and it says not to mix with warm water on the tin but sadly they do not tell you why you shouldn't .

Julz if I remember correctly she changed formula when the Nan seemed to be causing the cramps. Could warm formula seriously cause constipation? Never new that hmmm. You can see I was spoilt with a breastfed baby ... no bottles to wash & sterilise too lol.

Lisha- you can tell her not to bother wasting her money on the anti constipation formulas, they are wayyyyy more expensive than the regular ones and basically just contain a higher sugar content so laxette would work just as well. I found actually that the buscopan helped with the tummy movements but i think because the cramps were causing C to avoid pooing. If i give him buscopan now it relaxes the muscles enough to help pass the stool.

Changing formula can cause constipations too. she shouldnt add powder to warm water or give a bottle of warm formula. That can cause constipation and then she should shake the tin and make sure the powder is loose in the scoops or there may be to higher concentration of formula.

Tks Vix. He is constipated though ... he has hard poo ... like pebbles (sorry if tmi so early in the morning). Very sad for such a tiny baby.
