Hi ladies

Vix even if you are vaccinated you can get it but you will just get a milder form with fewer complications.

It is usually preceeded with illness a few days prior to the rash showing like a temp and lethargy etc. The bumps will have blisters on them and they will itch.

Dylan as you know was also constipated when we started using formula. it was awful and vix like you I had to sometimes help the poop out and we even had him at the doc to have an enema etc. We used the laxette but he has been much better of late. Thankfully. And you are right. Being constipated makes them consitpated as they are fearful of going pooping so they hold it in which makes the whole situation worse. I use glycerine supp. When he is struggling and that works quite well now. (Previously it would take a day to work!). Luckily no blood these days.

C slept from 8.30pm til 7am without a peep! So I slept from 9pm til 7am and feel so great this morning!

Zee- glad you enjoyed the movie, just a shame Ziani wouldn't sleep out for the night. Yes C has the closemeyer tea every day or else he doesn't go but he was like that before I started him on the tea so I can't say if it's really a dependance on the tea? I went through 9m of hell even giving 20ml of milk of magnesium every single day in a vain attempt to get him to poo so I really don't mind giving him this tea every day. The Dr says that most kids will grow out of constipation problems by adolescence, the best thing right now is to avoid the problem that might give them fear of pooing because that can be half the problem. I must say I think that is half of C's problem because he clenches his bum tightly closed when he poops which obviously doesn't help but I think that came from the many months of constipation. What the tea's ingredients does is help keep moisture in the intestine so the sollids can move through. My mum also has suffered her whole life and is now using the tea everyday. I'm sure you can build up a dependance on it but I just don't have an alternative and really can't bear to see the agony he goes through if he doesn't poo.

Nelly- I was also wondering about Helen contacting someone when she has baba2, and now we're on the subject what do I need to do to get the sms notification through babycity? Not that I know 50 people in this country LOL don't think they'll accept UK numbers LOL

Elwyn got just under 5000 back from sars this morning so when he transfers me some I can go get these storage boxes and last medicines I need! Yay! Can't believe I'm 32w on Friday this week! Where does the time go to?

So let's talk chicken pox people....... C has aquired about 4 red lumps on his left arm, looked like little mozzie bites but they've swollen to HUGE red blobs. Now he had his C/pox vaccs so surely he can't get it right? I'm not too worried because he hasn't been sick or had a temp nothing so I'm sure there is maybe something in his bed but just wanted to know if anyone has had experience with C/pox and what it's like. I had it as a kid so should also be immune but also I'm past the dangerous stage so I'll just get sick if I do get it.

Not much news on this side, I went to see eat pray love on Saturday, it was nice to go to a cinema again! But we had to go and fetch Ziani at 9 pm because she refused to sleep at my mom's. She told my mom to call us and cried and cried.

Yesterday morning we went to a shopping centre where Z just kept saying: Mamma koop my Mamma koop my! She wanted clothes, glasses, sweeties, etc etc etc!

Helen, good luck with the situation! Hope you can stick to the original plan, hope the tension will dissapear as well and that Theo can get everything fixed in time! No, I haven't chatted with my MIL, I only saw her once afterwards and she was so depressed I couldn't bring it up. She really misses her husband now, with he festive season approaching, she is in one serious slump. Shame. And thanks, I have 9 subjects left to finish this degree, but when I'm done I still have to continue.

Julz, glad you enjoyed the meet! A friend who've done in vitro found out this week that she is expecting! I'm so sooooo excited for her!

Vix, good news about C and the swimming pool! Do you give C the Closemyer tea everyday? I have to, because Z gets so blocked when I just skip a day! Its terrible, wish her tummy will just work normally ...

Evening ladies.

A very busy weekend but really nice. Had the ttc ladies round to my house on saturday and the babies were all too cute for words. My big baby was a pain in the arse and cried the whole time. He settled towards the end with his buddy and they eventually enjoyed themselves. Two toddlers making a noise is hectic!!! Luckily my neighbours are old and deaf.

This morning we took Dylan to the Wheel in the waterfront as helen mentioned. Dylan loved it and then we took a nice walk around and had lunch. Dylan was an angel and slept this afternoon for 3 hours. A really nice family day.

LIsha can't wait to hear about Diwali.

Zee lol I am also into the boring educational toys. Mom and Dad can do cool! I wish you all the very best with your studies and wow on getting the i phone.

Helen so pleased your mom is coming. I am sure the other issue will sort itself out. They always do. Hope the week goes quickly and that friday arrives so that you know more. x


Ally the gifts sound great and the bag is a great idea. Dylan loves his school bag but I would prefer he use something else for weekends. He loves putting the bag on his back.

Oh and Dylan is so happy in his pram again. It's as if he is so over the whole walking thing now. yippeeee as it was nice to push him around today. He is good and usually walks with us and he loves holding my hand but then he gets tired and then I have to carry him.

Lelani sounds as if Chanel is doing better. Hope it continues. x

Well, Elwyn put up the racking inside the kids wardrobes so now I just need to go buy the plastic bins for the toys and then I'll take pics. It worked so we'll and I'm super impressed.

And today Elwyn managed to get C to go in the pool. I couldn't believe it! He took the net off to clean like usual and C asked for his clothes and nappy off. DH asked hin "are you going to swim?" And he replied yes, daddy swim and held out his hands to be held so he could step in. Never ever has he allowed us to put him in the pool and even the last time I got in he went mad but he played on the top step for an hour, we just couldn't get him out. He cried when we put the net back on LOL. So I told Elwyn he MUST do it every weekend then by christmas break C should be quite confident to play in the pool. I was flabberghasted.

I'm going to sleep now because C came to me at 1.30am and insisted on getting in my bed so I slept in his which was awful, I was sweating like a bee with an itch thatnks to the fitted waterproof sheet (I bought it looooong ago, the one on my bed I made and I never have sweating problems so now I need to make him a new one like mine) and I was weary that he would wake up crying for me so with every movement I was awake. I think every mother should 'test' out her childs bed for 1 night and maybe then we'll really know where the sleeping problems stem from. I hope the new mattress protectore will stop him from sweating so much in his sleep because he always wakes up soaked.
