Julz- i also hate when people ask for cash, it's rude! That's why it's called a wedding gift because it should come wrapped up and usually have some sort of plug on the end LOL I asked the bride for the wedding we're going to for a gift list and she said "oh i don't have one but cash will do" so i turned around and said " a list or nothing you have a choice, i don't give cash"

The reason for which is this, i have a kitchen full of wedding gifts, toaster, kettle, peculator etc and every time i use those gifts i think of the person who gave them and am thankful every day for their generosity even 3 years later. Those who gave cash.... I can't even remember who or how much they gave never mind what i spent it on.

I understand with cash people can buy what they want but actually if you create a gift registry then you will still receive what you want. I believe the cash gets wasted on day to day living. so if there really is no gift list i buy a voucher for a non consumable store like Boardmans or if it's a birthday then a beauty store etc so i know you will buy yourself something useful LOL

braai day & our fast ALWAYS coincide so obviously no braai for us ... will clean house instead lol. I ain't having braaied veggies or soya YUCK!!!

Thanks for sharing your experiences ladies, I'm still unreasonably scared of a C-Section but we'll wait and see what happens, I know my gynae will help point me in the right direction but at the end of the day what will be will be.

Lisha - I'm so glad the weaning went well for you, Shrey has been such a big boy And as for no2, all in good time I say and each to their own We decided we want the sleepless nights over and done with and I'd like to be done with babies by the time I'm 30 but that's also partly because of the PCOS, the older I get the slimmer the chances so we thought why wait. A career can come later, it had to be put on hold when I moved here because I was without a permit etc then it never really got started before I had Oliver so now I figure it can wait until babies are bigger, although I am keeping fingers crossed that Theo can somehow manage to earn a bit more in the next few years so that I can afford to be a SAHM lol.

Lelani - You are allowed to be excited about your hioliday - time off is always great

Ally - Hope you're having a fab day. I had the weirdest dream about you last night, it was very vivd at the time but I can't remember much of it now, I just know that I was babysitting the twins so you could go to Cape Town with C lol.

Christi - oooo, a dress up when you don't know anyone is always baaaad. I think I would also try and find an excuse to get out of that one.

Julz - Sorry but your morning sounds like a comedy movie hehe. I can imagine you were glad to drop him off Are you feeling better now?

Vix - My blood pressure was definitely very low, both figures were below 100, I might've just got them back to front because he definitely said 50 and 80? I don't understand what the numbers mean, I just know I've always had really low blood pressure and he always comments on it but Tuesday it was much lower than normal.

I bought this low gi cookbook...sorry Ally your mushroom sauce would never be in that book! The cream...i miss the cream!

But anyways...there is a low gi potato salad and a low gi mealie bread that I wanna make tomorrow if we decide to braai (weather not looking good for PE)...so excited about trying them out!

Okay so I had the morning from hell!!!!!! Dylan wet his bed. In an odd way I might add. Get this, his blankie was wet, his bed had nappy gel in it, but the nappy was okay and his pants were dry??????

then he played in the wet shower, so I changed him, then when I showered he opened the door and got wet so I invited him in clothes and all and he actually climbed in. I then undressed him and we showered together. He wasn't sure about it though.

Then he got stuck in my cupboard. I have mirror sliding doors on it and he closed himself in, but a dress dropped and got tangled in the tracks and he couldn't get out. He actually remained fairly calm as did I and he luckily squeezed through the gap. Good to have a teeny kid!!!!


Lets just say I was happy to take him to daycare after that.
